I would try and use the same type that came with jacket..they just wear out over time and that's why they need to be replaced..I'd have to see jacket but this seams to be over kill..these are heavy duty

Yes, an ordinary nail is also suitable, but for several times of use.

Concrete nails are hardened so they won't deform the way a regular wood nail will. "Cut nails" also work but they are squared off.
