    I'm really excited to bring you my latest project. As a kid I remember seeing the Lion King and being blown away by it, many years later I had the idea to arrange Circle of Life but bailed, due to it's challenging nature. However 5 years on from my previous idea I decided to give it one more push, and I'm really happy that I did. Finally I present to you my latest multitrack, with as many as 50 voices at one time I have realised my vision of how I wanted this to sound like and it's all thanks to the people that have supported me musically.
    Thank you

    Lyrics:
    From the day we arrive on the planet
    And, blinking, step into the sun
    There's more to see than can ever be seen
    More to do than can ever be done
    There's far too much to take in here
    More to find than can ever be found
    But the sun rolling high
    Through the sapphire sky
    Keeps great and small on the endless round
    It's the circle of life
    And it moves us all
    Through despair and hope
    Through faith and love
    Till we find our place
    On the path unwinding
    In the circle
    The circle of life

    Sam,,, I have a large surround system hooked to my computer with a 12 inch powered sub,,, how are the bass notes in this song achieved with the human voice alone? Being a musician myself, the bass notes sound manipulated with a keyboard. I've had 4 years of classical voice training myself and have never heard of a male singer with more than 3 octaves excluding falsetto,, Tim Storm and Freddy Mercury have 5 octaves by using falsetto, but Tim had to rely on vocal fry to achieve his deepest notes and Freddy could go into soprano range, but lacked the ability to drop into E or lower. I want you to know that I love your arrangements and think that they give new life to worn out songs,, but I'm just curious about the bass lines. Please don't hate me for being curious,, maybe you're just a freak of nature and can actually do every note regardless of depth or height. Keep doing your thing and I remain a loyal subscriber!

      +MrDavidr86 I use an octaver post production which is wired into my mixer as a bus channel. I did it for the people like yourself who enjoy listening to music with the full frequency range in tact ;)

      +Sam Robson Wow, that's amazing. There must be some low A's and B's or even lower than those, in your 'O Holy Night' performance. What lowest note can you achieve whithout the octaver post producer?
      I'm very curious. A fellow choir base singer and me contest eachother who sings the lowest keys ;)
      Your arrangements and performances make me never want to quit singing!

      Because life exists by only materialistic processes right, and you are only atoms that by chance came together in time for no purpose but to rise and collapse. All for no real purpose but the unguided process of nature.

      According to your worldview cannibalism wasn't really wrong, neither was pedophilia and rape, when and if the societal consensus says it isn't. Even a supposedly "good" consensus like we have today is meaningless if morality isn't given from above.
      You talk about "good" animals. There is no such thing as they act on instinct and do not need to try to be moral like we do. An irritated horse will kick a person and possibly kill them without any thought or feeling or consequence at least in it's mind. A herd of cattle may stampede over a person, no thought included or conscience involved. We are the only species that feels truly bad and thinks about the consequences of our actions. Your worldview explains that conscience away into oblivion and meaninglessness. Because according to your own words, rape, abortion human sacrifice, human trafficking and pedophilia are equal with charity, the golden rule, and self sacrifice, depending on the moment in time. Nice moral compass that is.
      Bestiality has already been approved of by Canadian and European courts. Did you consent to that as an individual? I sure didn't yet the moral compass of my own society and community has adopted what I consider very immoral. The same goes for people who pump themselves full of hormones and hormone blockers and call themselves the opposite sex.

    • @prayunceasingly2029
      @prayunceasingly2029 6 лет назад

      James William Steven Parker
      Btw many communities all over the world today including Canada want that 2000 year old book to be their moral compass and source of truth. Jesus Christ lived and taught truth. And he died on a cross for sinners like you (who would believe on him) as predicted by the prophets before him. And he was exalted as foretold the prophet Daniel. And his people followed his instruction which he gave - to share the gospel to the ends of the earth. I trust the word and truth of Jesus Christ over every other word from this earth.

      Explain to me how any immoral act is objectively wrong when societal norms may change regarding those acts in 50 years time? Just because societal norms are what they are today gives no garuntee they will stay that way. Your version of a subjective moral compass is very shaky as it gives no garuntees. My version gives objective, permanent garuntees which will never change. Christ is trustworthy. Human nature is not.

      Tina Longford I think I can safely say on behalf of all of Sam's fans.....thank YOU Mom and Dad for encouraging Sam and being the rock for him that I'm sure you are. He certainly comes by his gift naturally as you are both also very gifted musicians. For him to have accomplished this at his age is mind boggling. Sam is rare. How lucky we all are to have found out about him at the start of his path so we can marvel at what he has done and wonder at what he has yet to do. I can't wait!

      +Curtis Harder Does it really matter? The kalimba and other percussion added another layer of depth to the arrangement which ultimately made it sound even better. And in the end, the listening experience by whatever means necessary is the most important thing IMO.

    • @curtisharder7112
      @curtisharder7112 8 лет назад +6

      +Tom Winter I am not saying I don't like it. I am just saying it isn't Acapella. To be A Capella you cannot have any instruments what so ever. It is an excellent arrangement, but it just isn't A Capella

    Awesome arrangement!
    Since this is what id consider a perfect mix for acapellas i've ot a question for you. I also got into recording and mixing some months ago and multitracks with instruments and one or two voices work really well. But everytime i try acapella recordings they always sound extremely blurry since i cant get the tracks to stop fighting with each other.
    Do you have any tipps for beginners on acapella mixing or any good website/book that you can recommend?
    I would very much appreciate an answer!!
    Cheers =)

      +whoever Think of each section of harmony as its own group for example, look at a big band, which has a brass section, reed section, rhythm section etc... Try and group together the harmony into these sections and then treat theme in a similar way when it comes to eq etc... Try that as a starting point. :)
