The thing is the Percy Jackson movies are pretty good if you've never read the books. But if you read the books you'll realize how much better the movies could have been if they had given more importance to the source material and listened a little more to what the actual author of this amazing series had to say. Yeah, I think a lot of ‘bad’ movie adaptations have that. For example, Artemis Fowl. They put multiple books in the movie and changed some core things up, making it a bad movie compared to the books. However, I liked the movie just fine as a movie on it’s own
I think you'll be happy to know that the Percy Jackson tv series script is completed and is sent to the higher ups for approval and corrections. They are planning to start filming by summer 2021 and release it on 2022 Fingers crossed 🤞
