I did this couple of months(?) ago, and well I don't hate it, but I really wish we get an awesome TV-series out of this 'cause I swear to god, I've been waiting it since I was 13 and now I am almost 21. I'M STILL IN THIS XD The whole PJ Fandom deserves a good directed and accurate to the books TV-series. And if it's not, Disney will hear it.

The thing is the Percy Jackson movies are pretty good if you've never read the books. But if you read the books you'll realize how much better the movies could have been if they had given more importance to the source material and listened a little more to what the actual author of this amazing series had to say. Love the edit.

agree. i originally watched the movies and this year i found the books and realized they were so much better but still like the movies without comparison.

Yeah, I think a lot of ‘bad’ movie adaptations have that. For example, Artemis Fowl. They put multiple books in the movie and changed some core things up, making it a bad movie compared to the books. However, I liked the movie just fine as a movie on it’s own

I think you'll be happy to know that the Percy Jackson tv series script is completed and is sent to the higher ups for approval and corrections.
They are planning to start filming by summer 2021 and release it on 2022

The Movies in themselves were not that bad , the acting was good, the cgi was good and the story was good but it cant be called a percy jackson adaptation

I really enjoyed this. I haven't actually finished reading the books. I actually saw the movie first and that was my first introduction to the fandom. You did a great job with this, I know the fans were very critical of the movies but I enjoyed them for what they were and I think you captured the essence of the fandom very well.
Hoping the fandom gets a well deserved tv series that is awesome. I really do hope that.

I didn’t read the book, I only watched the movie, and it was one of the best movies I have watched, seriously. I am very sad that there was no part 3 and the movie got a lot of hate, very sad!! ❤😢

This edit...seems so intimidating..It makes you want to watch the movies and discover all the action and so much more...It literally seems so wondrous and let me tell you..that we fans are being tactless wasting are time on just criticizing these ideal actors who acted so fully..I must say Evelyn makes me believe that Percy Jackson was truly the Survivor...
in comparison to the books, the movies are terrible. by themselves, the movies are fine. the fandom never criticized the actors, we criticized the script and producers and everything else. the actors are incredible, we have nothing against them. it isn't their fault that the script and plot line of the movies isn't good.

THE MOVIE IS NOTHING LIKE THE BOOKS!! I recommend not watching the movie until you have read the book enough times to know what it is actually supposed to be like, because I think whoever made the movie read about one paragraph of the book.

Alert : This is a long comment about what I think of the movies, if you feel you're not in the mood (wich I totally understand) you are free to pass your way and keep scrolling down the comment to find a more interesting one.😁
The thing is, those two movies are actually really good, plot effects, his connection to the sea and all of that, they just rushed it too much and skipped important scenes or details.
They did make an effort, in the first one I really enjoyed all the fight scenes, Logan's acting, how his powers work, (the iconic"this is a pen"😂). I also really enjoyed some improvements they tried to make on the second movie, Annabeth was blond again, percy's lack of confidence, and especially the introduction of Clarisse, Tyson and Dionysus : they were really on point. (I gotta to say I loved the hippocampus).
I was just disappointed in the first one for the overall lack of connection to the book, it's like they used the idea and made theur own blockbuster about it, and on the second one, wich I personally felt already more in the book's spirit, I was mainly disappointed because of the rushed plot. Cronos doesn't appear before the fifth book, we only just hear him sometimes, he's cold, smart, cruel and agile, and it's way more impacting than a big geant monster. Same problem for the treason of Silena Beauregard, Chris Rodriguez and Ethan Nakamura. They are barely mentioned in the movie when they deserved character development.
Over all, I'm confused. I definitely liked the movie and would love to watch them again, but I missed the book's spirit and it's messages and development.
Sorry for writing that much I just felt the need to write it because I hope to finally find someone who agrees😂😂

I personnaly think the movie are good.
My advice is : See the movies before reading the book. If you read the book first, you risk being dissapointed, cause you'll realise how much better the movies could have been.
