@@Root7m thank you, I try honestly. And I feel like this is one of the best if not the best character I have ever read, and an arc would be, or will be, fantastic. You never really see it happening in any books and people just assume a villain is just bad without any depth and contrast. This is really interesting with the books and the show in comparison.

@@aarishiaminali3012 I haven't but I do know what happens. I'm just hoping that the show goes its own way. Maybe not impossible since it sounds like they've already improved on Mal and Alexander so much, in terms of their attitudes toward Alina. Obvs Alexander still does a lot of messed up things to Alina but their relationship before all that was way more equal in the show than what I've heard of the books, her kissing him etc

He rules the world, it will be such shame if he subject to a certain standard that would call him "good", to a certain hero stereotype 'cause he's just something else entirely! He is very manipulative, ruthless and toxic. For Alina and everyone else. And I believe before Alina arrived, he was using Zoya. But even then, I cannot stop myself from watching these Darkling edits. Ah what am I going to do with myself? 😭💘💔
Judging from Zoya's flirtation with Mal in the first episode, I don't think there was something serious from her side. He was definitely attracting women's attention. But only Alina could be equal to him, their relationship line could be so interesting. I don't want to see the second season because they will make Alexander just another Billy Russo or another maniac character...
