2023 F150 Raptor R is here with a 700 horsepower supercharged V8!

Ford has officially debuted the 2023 F150 Raptor R! Under the hood is the same 5.2L supercharged V8 that you will find in the Shelby GT500. This time making 700 hp and 640lbft of torque. 37" tires are also standard on the Raptor R. Does Ford have the answer to the Ram TRX?

Fords 10 speed transmission can’t handle any more power, that’s my guess, based on previous ownership. The TRX just sounds like a better deal for the money, has better looks, and no one’s gonna make you wait 5 years to get one! Good video.. 👍

They could’ve easily did 720-750hp and completely stomped the TRX, but instead they did 700…
Edit: it’s still better than the TRX in off-road stats such as approach, departure, break over, and clearance.
Also beats the TRX in towing by 600lbs, 40lbs more payload, and has the superior transmission.

@@Brownkilla yea I said that on streetspeed’s post on IG that the Raptor 35 has better approach, departure, break over, and clearance. The Raptor 37 has even better stats. Basically better in every way except power and sound. Making it the superior off-roader, and the Raptor R is just leveling the playing field in sound, power, and keeping its superior off-road stats.
He responded by saying “except it sounded awful, was slower, less power, couldn’t tow as much, couldn’t haul as much, etc. but yeah, better in every way!
I responded by saying no one buys a Raptor or TRX for towing, but the raptor is rated to tow 100lbs more with the v6 and has the better off-road stats.
Wait till he finds out the R is rated to tow like 600lbs more, has the better off-road stats, AND has the same power with the superior transmission
