Lol
How can I purchase the equipment you find sir?
Wiley.dec@gmail.com
He can help you
Worlds
The look on wiley face was priceless when it started
Their's nothing like a,Caterpillar engine sounds Awsome with that 3406 Cat 475 horse power
Right on
Hank if you and, your lovely wife Gina get a, chance to watch the movie called Black Dog cause that's were I picked up phrase Nothing runs better like a,Caterpillar engine Hank even though you driven a,few Trucks back in the day you would still be a, Awsome Truck driver 10-4 buddy
10-4, but nothing screams like an olde Detroit, really swell looking Peter Car you have the boys, very nice.
@@jaredclawson1813That Peterbilt has a, 3406 Cat in it okay not a, Detroit alright
@@jasonleeloveless2183 Yes, Jason I get that. I've run Cat 3406s in trucks, scrapers and even motor graders. And yes, I saw Black Dog in the theater in 1998, I'm familiar with the movie quote. I said, "but...nothing screams like a Detroit.." The word "but" is a claus, an inserted uncertainty. That was a joke, but I still stand by what I joked about, nothing screams like an olde Detroit, discussion closed....
Awesome truck to work on, my dad has over a million miles on his 03 Peterbilt 379, running strong. He only swapped his CAT engine to a 2013 or 14 Cummins due to CA smog laws which is a huge bummer. I miss listening to the old engine brake too.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
YES big bummer about Ports in LA area. Will not let a truck on Port property unless it's brand new or has a inspection. Very hard on guys buying a used class 8 to just move cantainer from Port to Port, big demand for that as Ships will unload at one LA port, fast turn around, then they steam to sea. The cantainer just needs to be moved to Long Beach. Good jobs for guy starting out with a affordable used truck. But now he must meet these strict emission standers with his truck, just to go on Dock Port Property. Plus there a charge to truckers for Air pollution, that truckers have no control over.
I worked on a Pete 389 had 1.6 million miles. Been through 3 motor rebuilds. Ran like a top, was in fabulous condition
My truck is a 2008 1.5 million miles and just drove her coast to coast. Had the engine rebuilt 140k ago, runs like glass.
I look forward to the banter between you and Wiley on these will it start videos. It sounds like you two go together like peanut butter and jelly.
He’s good people
The terminals on batteries are different size for a reason. I believe the positive pole is the larger one.
It is
Hank, I spent quite a few years at the Pete dealer in Auburn Hills Michigan, what determined a long or short nose Pete was front axle location....I remember when Cat went from the mechanical injection to electronic injection..be safe!! May the Lord Bless ya'll!!!
Cool thanks!
Those paperwasps have a very nasty sting, I use spraypaint or brake cleaner on them. Love your battery set up, good tight connections, especially on 12 Volt systems. 500 or 600 Amps will make a bolt glow very quickly. Great start. good engine.
Hello! I’m James’s older sister, nice video y’all made in Panama City! I Subscribed 06/27/22 👍🏼
Thank you. We had. A good time with James!
I have been all over the USA in a 1986 Peterbilt 359 twin stick with a 3406 cat engine. I love them old Pete's
Wish I could be at the meet and greet in Louisville. Love watching. Jesus is king!
Yes he is!!
Amen!
🙏❤️🇺🇸🇫🇮
Amen!!
You guys sure had fun with this one!! Love it, and thanks!!
For sure!
Looks like a C model cat. Lots of differences between a c model and a c15 though lol
Thanks for the Awesome startup video, nothing more satisfying than an old diesel coming to life. How’s the ram been treating you? I know someone who is thinking of buying a new gen aswel.
My truck has been awesome. No complaints 👍
That was a pretty easy one, you guys were do for a easy one, still a cool video thanks.
Lol. Yeah I hear ya
Hello from Greece fellas great job hank and Wiley I really loved this video!!!
Thanks for the kind words
You guys are purely genuine nice folks ! Your channel is awesome ! Big Canadian fan ! God Bless !
Thanks much
long nose versus short nose is pretty easy to identify from the outside of the truck with petes. long nose the hood extends past the front wheel fender arch at the cab, while on the short nose the fender arch meets the end of the hood at the cab
Dang Whatta score...way to go fellas 🤟😆
Thanks!!
Some really good videos from you and wiley hank. Throughly enjoyable
Thanks much!
Liquid soap in water is the best for wasps, especially on paint.
You guys are great, I enjoy your work, it brings my late big brother and mentor back with me, thank you
Hello to you
Another great restart with you guys
Very enjoyable video
Be well
I love how funny you guys are, makes this video so amazing. God Bless y'all.

Yes sir!
a big 10-4 rubber ducky! to hank and mr.wiley
😁👍
That's a nice ole Pete an it sounds good. That was the first truck i learned to drive 379 Extended Hood 425 cat. Man that thing was a Beast
Right on!
LOL!! My Freightliner has a C15 with 1.3m. I work it daily.
Right on!
that was pretty cool old guys rule God bless
The people that say brake clean for wasp killer are correct. It melts their wings and exoskeletons, AKA DEAD wasp!! I drove for over 20 years and have 3, 1 million mile safety awards. I put 2.5 million on a L9000 Ford day cab. It had a super 300 cummings and was a fast truck, 76 mph all day long. It's all in the pump settings, it still got got the best mpg of the whole fleet!!
You'all got her going! Cheers!😁 Bless you!😁
Thanks!
I like that your talking your friends
A good wasp spray is about 1/4-1/2 cup of Dawn dish soap in a gallon of water in a pump up garden sprayer. Or mix up a small batch for use in a hose fed garden sprayer container. Add the soap to the water; not the water to the soap to keep foaming down. This mixture will knock out the wasps just as fast as the chemical spray stuff and is a lot cheaper. You can also add peppermint extract to the mixture to keep wasps from returning to the nest since they do not like the smell.
And you don’t even need a Crescent Wrench or Vise Grips to do this!
This thing is got no problems now that HANK got er going great job HANK 👍🏻👍🏻
The short nose, part of the engine is under the Cab(I would call them the "FOOT WARMER") My Dad used a 1967 INT Day Cab, to haul grain, a 4 hour around trip. How he keep his on the gas, I'll never know, because the heat would heat up the foot
hello from England, love the video's, keep them coming
Thanks! Cheers
Hank keep us advised please love that truck 😊
Some healthy black cats 🐈 on start up hank.
Alot of cleaning to do on the old pete
Great job,
Right on
Heinz Guderian's tactics against American Killer Wasps: a flamethrower! Lol! But seriously, I have a tip for you: what about applying some grease or Kroil to the terminals? That should ease contact a bit, as you need as much power as possible to get old engines turned over!
Love your videos! Eric from Montreal Canada!!!!
Again 🤣, had a good laugh at the two of you. Great video 👍🏻
😊👍
Awesome job sounds like new
Hello from Minnesota. Fun times!
Yes sir! Thanks for stopping by
Wowww....working again....good job men.....
Good job guys!👍
I love old school Peterbilt! I know that it's a 379. Wonder how much you asking for? I know Mr. Wiley got email, but just curious. Thanks
That was fun! Appreciate ya!
i appreciate you watching.
He was so persistent he made it start
Did Mr. Wiley Buy Mrs. Gina A Louis Vuitton Purse When He Bought That Truck From The Cadillac Feller? Lol
😂
A Million Miles??? It's just getting comfortable now! Everything knows it's place, it flows and it works good. We'd get them warm to operating temp, a little higher than idle, and sprinkle Comet like a dust cloud over the air intake, about 4 cups, then drizzle 3 quarts of Automatic transmission fluid down the intake keeping the idle up just a hare, not too much to overrun the engine. With all the smoke there wasn't a mosquito for miles😂, but the comet broke loose all the caked oil and grime on the rings while gently honing the cylinder walls, and the ATF goes through and washes it clean as well as removing carbon around the valves and injector tip. Usually wakes them up again. Then a cup of graphite powder in the manual transmissions to wake up the synchros and you've got harmony again, we called it "Fingertip Floating" the gears.
Great video Hank! God bless yall
Thanks!! 🙏
You can tell the difference between a long hood and short hood by the front fenders. If it has a filler panel between the cab and fenders like this truck has it's an extended hood. If the fender goes right into the body it's a short hood.
👍
Seems like Hank would at least park the truck on the side with the batteries, Wiley, might help you a little bit brother! lol 😂 y’all need a jump pack, might help!
and they are spot on let's see this run .
I like the 2" crescent wrench !
Да,хороший трак, качество видно сразу!!!
My dads 1995 379 Peter built has well over 2 million miles on his!!!! He got the truck around 12 years ago when I was about 7
Like it barley wanted to roll over and then up and starts. I love it. What a nice truck as well
Yeah that was crazy wasn’t it?
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I have never seen a truck do that but there is always a first time for everything.
Got several at work 1 plus and a 03 379 2.1 still on road
Great video good to see the crew
Thanks much!
That was sweet nice rig
Great job getting started keep up the hard work. Be safe keep up the hard work.🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Thanks Frank!
No master mechanic no problem but they went high tech on me. God Bless you my friend stay healthy my friend!!
😁👍👍
Sounds awesome 🔥
This is really an amazing one 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Good video!! Good looking Pete!
Thanks!
No wonder it sold so easily heck hardly turned over and started can't complain all the best to you all
If u got access to the flo plugs use a 12 jump pack power a few then lite them off
Let one of those so-called fuel-efficient rigs nowadays sit for 2 years it would never start but these old girls like that Peterbilt far up with some loving care thanks for the video
I hear ya
That is a extended hood 379 tell by hood length behind fender short hood even with back of fender love your content
Hank, when it comes to battery hook ups, your channel should be called “hammer-ton-vile farm.
lol
The 3406 Cats are really great engine, the only thing I don't, like is replacing the water pump, Man what a pain in the rear. Never seen pressure on a cooling system for 2 years, That's odd!!
It definitely surprised me!
Hamilton Farm y’all need to get a battery jump box. It will make your guises life so much easier
Nah… we like to struggle!! 😂😂
Hola buen día cuando una persona le tiene amor la cosa que uno haser es lo mejor que aprende el otro siempre estás mirando algo nuevo me gustó un abrazo a ustedes gracias Marcelo de argentina
I guessed it! 1997 Peterbilt semi :)
Do you think Wiley will ship it over to the highlands of Scotland lol. 😂😂 Great work & Hank & Wiley brilliant entertainment. 👍
You can do anything for the right price 😁👍
Price?
Great video Mr. Hank ,Mr. Wiley,Jacob!!!!!!!…..okay am I the only one that notice no crescent wrench was used or did I miss something????????…….
Lol. May not have made the edits.
Love the videos,GBYA.
I always look for the gap between the fender and the front of the cab to tell if it's a exhd or short hood
👍
Hamilton farm!! Can y’all find 2 24.5 bud style Alcoa’s for sale for me 😅😅😅 need 2 for my ole cab over fellas! Keep up the great work!
love em old Peterbilts
Easy way to tell longer hood, that lower backside of the fenders have square skirts to the body. Std hood has a curved back lower of fender skirt.
👍
Hi from cat man uk, 3406e is pretty much c15, that engine is 3406b with throttle rod, or 3406c with electronic throttle, no where near c15, regards.
I have the opportunity to buy the very first truck I ever rode in. It's a IH 4300 Transtar conventional day cab. It's two tone brown and tan with a 350 Cummins I think. Not sure if it's a big cam or not. It has a factor 13 speed. What would it cost me for y'all to come out to NC and shoot a will it start video. I was probably 6 or 8 yrs old when I rode in it pulling a load of grain from the field behind my grandparents house. Just a bit of history for ya. Keep up the good work.
That’s a cool story! NC is a long way. Lol. I bet you can find some good fellas around you that’s love to do it for you!
Looks exactly like my daily driver except its a 2001..nice!
Cool
Like to see you Hank and Wiley banter and have fun but I still miss BRANDO with his Crescent Wrench doing his THING !!
Like the new intro. Keeping coming.
Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering if people like it. It’s in a few more coming up.
Thats a short nose or what they called a 378 back then. Theres about 10 or 12 inches more hood extension from the windshield to the hood. Starting fluid will drop their butts
That looks like a 3406C mechanical engine. It looks lik it has the long nose cone that covers timing advance
Easiest was to see if it's a long or short nose is the hood behind the front tires will be about 13 to 14 inches wide from the over fender to the cab. On a short nose fender is dam near flush with the rear of the hood and cab. It's that easy I could tell right away that this was a long nose. I drove peterbilt for 6 years. Had both. Then ended up with a 579 slant nose. Sure miss seeing that hood in front of me.
Yeah I hear ya. Just ain’t the same is it
Sure ain't. I cant even see the hood sitting up. I'm no 1st year driver so I dont put any air in the seat!! U can always tell a rookie driver. They be sitting with all the air in that seat lol hitting their head on the headliner! Shoot in my 379 sitting on the floor u couldnt see me from the drivers side window! People said I looked like a little kid driving!
Awesome purr. 👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Wiley as Ed McMahon huh? Yeah, I think he's definitely the straight man in this comedy team. 😅😅😅👍
Dam nice truck!
Best thing to use on them wasps is bottle concentrated lemon juice and iodine salt mixed
Good job and God bless yall
Thanks Ralph!
You can tell long nose from a short nose without even opening the hood. Long nose will have a little hood between the back edge of fender and firewall. Short nose, the rear edge of fender comes down even with firewall.
PB blaster works great they do don't flyaway or at you the drop to the ground dead
Spicy chilly huh lol!! Dude I would love to meet you in person
Lol. Right on
Great video but seems like you two would learn by now to take the time to clean all connections first and then crank on it!
What fun would that be?
