  • Go out and put together the cassis for the Gray Edition Super Clod Buster! It was an enjoyable build but I id have to do some stuff twice so pay attention to the manual! I am going to have to paint the body before getting it completed so this is only the chassis build part.
You guys are all awesome and I appreciate all the great comments and questions from everyone. Really enjoying talking to you all in the comments section.

I really enjoyed this, Addam! Actually in a strange way, this video was really valuable to me. I got loads going on in head right now also, but then I got this crazy RC car obsession always knocking. And that mega-rant you fired off with the motor wires, oh, I loved listening to that, all the injustice in the world, those wires take the blame, I know that all too well too! But once you're there, building, that's where the magic happens, all those external problems get displaced by some stupid wires that are too short, or nuts that get forgotten. That's healthy for the brain, I think... I spent 4 hours on my Lunchbox yesterday, I loved it!

When I’m building I get tunnel vision to the finish and never get much video myself. And I have very little run videos because I’m enjoying the kit too much to care! 😅 great video as always my friend! Hope you get the paint you need! Cheers!😊

Hi Addam, good things first. The car lloks great and I like that Tamiya puts black and grey additional parts into the kit, so everyone can mix them, if he wants to. I would paint the body for two reasons. First I saw many production marks in your pics (which you mentioned later, too). And second I heard Tamiya said gun metal🤩.

Honestly. Ran the ESC in mine at the rear like manual showed. shoved the wires in the side hole same. No tangle issues. 4 full packs through it and not an issue. Switch wise. 3m double side tape on the tray back right just before the hump. slight reach up to hit it. body stays on. its still stuck there. 35kg servo (at 6 volts. 29 at 4.8) and cranked the servo savers tight. remember the servo savers were designed in the 80s when people were shoving .25 speed, 30-45oz tq plastic gear servos in them (s148 futaba, 94192 Airtronics a few) but todays serves with metal gears and 10-20 times the TQ for me seam to last. Heck look at most race rc cars. they don't run a servo saver anymore. Didn't paint the body here. yeah limited, but only feel worth money later if in the box. so my kc lights. and top rear corners of the bed are scratched from roll overs. (stock motors) and bottom of bumper grinding away from wheelies. Should glue tires. softening up after 4 runs. But thing is a hoot. The bounce, the wobble the fast rear steer. just laughing the whole time driving it.

Look’n good Addam! The colour scheme is awesome. Can’t wait for mine to arrive! You definitely convinced me that I’m going to have to paint the body. Was hoping I wouldn’t have to but the stress marks are too prominent.

That truck is pretty cool. I had no idea it had dual servos and dual motors. I have heard it can drive up a curb no problem.

I 100 percent agree with you on the esc switch. Bought a grasshopper with it and same problem. Excellent esc just too small of a switch. Love the looks of this think but what a shame on the body. Thanks for the honesty and video.

stinks about the chassis, but both my standard clod bodies have those marks in the hood. i tried using some putty on one, but that is proving more work than it is probably worth.
