  • Many OS' claim to be a lightweight version of Windows 11, however, they do not come with the security that an OS should in 2024. In this video, we'll be taking a look at AstroOS 24H2, which claims to be a lightweight version of Windows 11 that is secure.

      And basically all this is archived just uninstalling programs and optimizing settings. You can do it by yourself and avoid any risk. Also you will know what is being turned off and on.

    This is how Win 11 should have been, instead of what we got.
    I would definitely rather get this over the vanilla Win 11 or even Linux.
    Only because there are a lot of Windows apps & games that are not 100% compatible on Linux that I rely on.
    I'm gonna keep this as an alternative to upgrade from Win 10, once support ends in October next year. :)

      @ShiroCh_ID 2 месяца назад

      Hopefully things you rely on was available or finally supported in Linux, that would be great
      but yeah clean windows install with paid license is what you must be have Microsoft, it's okay to put crap on free unlicensed windows, but still putting the same thing on paying consumer is a no go

    Another really good option if you don't want to rely on some unknown person or persons creating it for you.. Just use Windows 11 or 10 Enterprise LTSC. The Long Term Support Channel versions of Windows do not include any of the features that people are always trying to remove from the regular consumer version of Windows. They are intended for mission critical machines and contain none of the bloat, tracking. It's just a clean, fast, and most importantly stable Windows build you can rely on.

    Are there any Win 11 fixes/os's yet that allow you to have the main task bar not on the main monitor, like Win10?
    For example, I have three monitors, I want my main one to be the middle one (because many games do not allow you to choose a display), but want my main hotbar on my left one, so that I can access the system tray whilst having a full screen game running.

    Microsoft should just make windows from scratch. Make it simple, lightweight and great. Windows 12 should last for 20 years. I want it to.
