Great sharing. My PC became super laggy including mouse and keyboard. All games and even simple tasks are extremely lagging, no way to proceed. Reverted to previous windows finally.
Btw, I would like to report a problem after updating. Whenever I didn't log in windows after booting for few minutes, my PC lagged very hard and windows defender told me that some device security aren't active and I need to reboot. I play valorant and therefore their vanguard anti cheat runs on my machine. I reinstalled it and have not faced the issue for 1 day.
Btw if you play any Ubisoft games like Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar or Valhalla, crashes to desktop all the time on 24h2 I'd honestly not recommend it for gaming right now, also makes 1% lows worse in quite a few games
It seems Microsoft doesn't listen to the feedback hub in the Insider preview builds that you can test. If they have, they would have been aware about a bug before releasing 24H2
Don’t think this is the real issue. I was on insider build of 24H2 and my computer ran fine until the update rolled out officially. Now I’m having nothing but problems.
@ my cpu is pegged at 100% at idle and I only installed windows three days ago and for some odd reason I keep getting random lockups on just a few specific programs. It is a fairly recent build but I wasn’t having any issues until very recently. Oddly enough the current issues is why I reinstalled windows just a few days ago. If I wasn’t trying to use my computer for gaming I would have ditched windows long ago……
Anything can go wrong that's why you let people who're willing to risk installing a new version to test it to deal with the bugs, the biggest reason is there are no driver updates yet. No they do not come with the next windows version straight away you have to wait. This is how it works now we have live updates and takes them a good 5 months from september for everyone to create driver updates especially graphics drivers. I jumped on 22h2 and it was a mistake lol i had to spend 6 hours doing a clean reinstall which weirdly installed the september and october updates fine but still any other update i would've installed would've probably gone wrong. I haven't updated to septembers and octobers updates for 24h2 and it doesn't matter if i don't because windows 11 then windows 12 coming next year is still going to be for the current computers we have so there's no rush to update. What difference would it make trying to get the updates now or in february? none at all and there doesn't seem to of been that many changes made so no fomo. I'm still on the next version for a good 1 year because i don't update straight away i just pause the updates after august's update now.
Yes this is true, but man Windows 10 is much better than this. I've gone through some bad W10 update, but this and several other W11 updates top the worst of the bad W10 updates by a long shot.

Here's another issue I have with Microsoft believing they should determine how files are displayed in File Explorer by default. With this latest update (24H2), the one thing I immediately noticed is in File Explorer. Now when I open File Explorer and I click to view a folder, the contents are sorted into sections: Today; Yesterday; Last Week; Last Month; Earlier this Year; and A Long Time Ago. (Under Sort, select Group By then select Date Modified will do this) Being old school this irritates the heck out of me. How do I permanently turn this feature off so whenever I open File Explorer and click a folder it lists everything (details) without any sections? (i.e. - Group By is automatically set to None and will retain this setting whenever I open a new File Explorer or even perform a shutdown/restart.) The next thing that's different is, let's say I download a zip file that contains 6 or 8 mp4 files and I extract them into a new folder. Then, when I click to view that folder, those mp4 files are defaulted to View - Large Icons. How do I fix this so the View defaults to Details, and will retain this setting even if I open a new File Explorer or perform a shutdown/restart? Any suggestions?
I would like to upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10 but this problem is putting me off. Is it possible to upgrade to 11 but do so with Windows 11 23H2?
after updating to version 24H2 about 4 days ago now. i can no longer see any of my other computers on my network at home for file sharing, and is extremely frustrating, i've looked at multiple different trouble shooting options for hours, and even tried reverting and uninstalling the update and that didnt work either, so now im stuck using a spare office computer for work until microsoft decides to fix this which could be months from now
Obviously this doesn't affect ALL Windows 11 users. I'm running it on an unsupported machine ASUS Prime B350-Plus with a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and the 24H2 upgrade went fine, I just checked my 'Windows Upgrade Log Files' and only have 371 MB.
Another issue that i have is my steam doesn't even open at all, some regular applications i had take 2 minutes to open up, also application setups sometimes take 3 to 5 minutes to open so i can install them like nvidia driver setup or any regular applications
24H2 definitely is NOT FULLY BAKED. I downloaded the 24H2 ISO from MS 2 days ago, and attempted to install it fresh onto a Beelink Ryzen 9 7940HS mini PC. INSTALL FAILED during the file copy and install process, immediately after partitioning and confirming the install. It failed at 16% and was repeatable. Fortunately I had a burned copy of 23H2 which installed just fine. AVOID 24H2 for now. If the installer cannot even finish correctly, who knows what nasty surprises lie in wait that MS does not even know about yet....
I will NEVER update to 24H2. I followed the instructions in another of your videos to prevent it and, assuming Recall never goes away, will eventually migrate over to Linux Mint. I'll probably do so anyways.
Windows 11 doesn't have problems, Windows 11 IS the problem. Besides I'm never upgrading to 11. Don't want co-pilot, don't want AI, don't want ads and I especially don't want them taking a pictures of my screen every 3 seconds! No thanks.
I understand not wanting the AI thing, but that's a CPU/NPU thing. As for Co-Pilot just turn it off. Windows 10 has co-pilot so... I have not experienced any ads in Windows 11 so far ( Been running since release). If your PC just has a normal CPU (Core i3, i5, i7, i9, AMD Ryzen 3,5,7,9 and no NPU) then your not going to have Recall even installed.
You're a dum6azz. Just download a custom built where all of this is disabled and cut out. Man baby. I would like to stay on my Windows 7 too but unfortunately that's becoming impossible
Read the conditions required for Recall to be able to work and probably like me you don't have the type of computer which can accept it and it won't be loaded. Check it out.
24H2 refuses to see other computers on my network. Another computer with 23H2 shows 24H2 though. Same settings. Windows update keeps telling me KB504484 is ready to install. 5 times so far. It installs fine. But no restart and no error messages. I did a complete re-installation of Windows 11 with a format. Same problems.
I have found 2 problems which caused us to rollback to 23H2. First was that Microsoft's Great Plains Accouting has an Intergation. Manager that fails after upgrade. The second is that Fortigate VPN fails as soon as it connects.
Yeah, come this weekend I will be removing 11 24h2 and just staying on. I've never and I repeat NEVER had so many issues gaming. From settings windows crashing when opening to just some serious gaming alters. Yeah that's an absolute fuck no for me. If I can't alt tab without major freezing and stuttering...get lost

Just accept that Microsoft keeps botching things up. When it's expected, they'll have "met expectations" and you'll feel much calmer about it. That's a life hack I learned over 20 years ago. Trust me, it helps reduce stress over their frequent blunders.
Recognising that there is a problem is the first step. The great news is, there are many FOSS alternatives. They are super easy to try, find an OS you like.
These things are nothing new... Windows 10 had the same types of problems when released. It's amazing how fast people forget the problems with Windows 10 when it was release and just think that Windows 11 is bug ridden.
With this version, I experienced screen tearing and some kind of left over graphics on some of the browser and program like task manager. It isn't my driver i already checked them even reinstalling the driver so yeah I think it's one of the issues of this version
My windows stopped starting, it would get to the black screen and wouldnt start and indeed i got the sfc errors and being fixed. Suddenly a new update seems to have fixed it now though as i was on the point of re-installing. Sometimes it'll boot to bios but a restart seems to boot normal.
Try disabling VBS (Virtualization-based security) to run VMware 17+ worked fine on this PC before I did a fresh install and updated to 24H2. Spent the entire day running fix after fix and rebooting a million times. Sick of this! The PC is the same one with no BIOS update and the VMs worked fine in the previous release because I could disable this stuff.
Microsoft guaranteed recall would be disabled by default, however when you check with dism, lo and behold, it's installed and running. Interesting how they hide it.
It's not installed on my 3 PC's. Checked with DSIM command and all 100% good. It didn't even get installed because there is no option to turn it ON/OFF under Settings/Privacy-Security. I don't have a CPU with a NPU and never will.
24H2 failed to install for me. It got half way, failed and reverted itself. I'm not that big of a fan of Windows 11 anyways. I was already a Linux/Windows dual boot user. For me 24H2 was the last straw. I deleted all my Windows partitions and just moved everything over to Linux. I may regret that choice later. But right now i'm happy with the change.
Same here. Except in my case I was trying to do a fresh install with 24H2 onto a Beelink Mini PC Ryzen 9 7940HS. Not cutting edge, and pretty ho-hum PC that was released a YEAR ago. Install failed at 16% during the file copy/decompress process. No rescue possible. I had to put a fresh install of 23H2 on, which I was able to locate fortunately and that worked fine. WTF...
why do people think it's so important to update soon? because it's called security updates capiche? update should be tested and work. maybe it's because they're so concerned with stuffing windows 11 with freaking garbage that nobody noticed a 9 GB freaking file laying around on the file system?
had no problems whit the temp file removal. but i debloat my windows every time i update , so i dont have any windows ''mandatory'' crap flying around in my sistem
No matter how hard Windows may suck, Linux sucks a thousand times harder! I may go back to Windows 10 myself. The new Windows 11 is a bit clunky and slow.
System installed 24h2 overnight, fortunately had non of the issues you've mentioned. Had a few updates since without issue. Let's hope it lasts, but I've got my doubts!
I had some update issues on Win10 about a month or two ago. Went to the AI and had to clean some updates cache via command. Then I could install security updates. Other time, on Win11, maybe 4 months ago, I looked at the partitions in the disk manager, suddenly finding out it had a bitlocker on. Went to settings... it offered me to turn the bitlocker on. Coded into the command to find out the bitlocker key. None found. Coded to check encryption. Used space was indeed encrypted. How? I have no idea what shady practices this 💩-ty system does, but I had to code to decrypt it and then check it up, to have it confirmed it was then fully decrypted. WTF is this system doing?
@@D.von.N They always seem to break more than they improve. I was so close to doing another fresh install of windows, thankfully I searched online first, or that would have been more time wasted.
the sfc /scannow is nothing to worry about. that command hasn't been working since Windows 10 - you get the same error when you run it on a Windows 10 PC. It's a false positive, and nothing to worry about.
NO KIDDING. It messed up everything in my system. No online games would play and would lock up. Menus wouldn't work. I rolled back and shut down updates. I'll wait for a few months until the bugs are gone.
You cannot delete that 8 GB because Windows needs it for Windows Update. This is not a bug. Starting with 24H2, Microsoft is releasing a new type of update that uses that files, so that updates can be smaller in size
Microsoft = INCOMPETENT! How this got released is just beyond comprehension. I am so glad I have still refused to upgrade to Windows 11 and still on Windows 10. I work in I.T. and I have some friends and family on Windows 11 and they've all been calling me and I looked up and found a plethora of issues surfacing from this update. Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves and someone (or several) need to be fired! I am learning more of Linux in the last couple of years and at this rate once Windows 10 is no longer receiving security updates and goes to EOL I may fully switch to Linux and never look back. This is just mind boggling they released this garbage. Do they also still wonder why people are refusing to switch and have stayed on Windows 10?
@@WillFuI haha. There are problems since windows 8. Audio is a core element but yet they fail to deliver working drivers. When you fix it the next update will damage things.
It's way way too early i tried to warn people lol i tried but everyone still keeps jumping on the version updates at the end of the year but we just can't do that there's too many bugs and there are no driver updates yet especially graphics drivers and what do ya know? people are having problems with their games. So pause updates after august's update comes every year until february because i've determined from observing what other people say and when all drivers are finally fully updated looking at the websites that it takes them about 5 months until it's done. Microsoft have their own AMD Graphics driver but it needs to be developed by AMD and then there's other drivers too like we have to wait for them now vs how they were just all there when we used to install windows on disc. Until then most likely updating to it straight away things are going to go wrong.
Microsoft is so weird and inconsistent, I upgraded 2 machines (one unsupported hardware, one normal) using the extracted ISO and running the product server command. Neither of the two machines had problems deleting the files (using the old Disk Cleanup) and after running the sfc command the first time it fixed the problems and the second time it confirmed that everything was fine.
When you copy too much data across drive, the explorer begins to crush. i had to install windows 10 to copy all my many terabytes of data of data. and yes i tried windows 11 24h2 on deferent pc. my main pc is 128 gigs ddr4 ram and top CPU etc, none of my pcs are very shity.
I updated because the only dates I get are updates, also experiencing all these issues and more, like my Nvidia Control panel not saving some settings my DISM isn't working just like SFC. I'm getting a black screen when tabbing out of games.
@leebennett7014 - always back up before a major change... .. butsaying that.... the way windows installs by default can make it difficult for most people to back up only the OS, because by default programs and data are dumped on the same partition.
All my games run at max settings on Win10 with my 3080 RTX 10GB, so i moved new clean installed to 24h2, and some of my games crashes with error not enough vram available. after lowering some of the settings those games worked. whereas in WIN10, everything is max without any issues. I will not touch win11 until they sort out all those stupid bugs, otherwise win10 still winner.
My pc is still at 23H2 but I received a notification for driver updates. I updated the Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones and after I rebooted, my audio stopped working. I had to roll back the driver to the previous version in order to get it to work. I have not seen a patch for this. I am, for now, ignoring this driver update. Do you have any information about this driver update?
24h2 has ruined my lenovo laptop. From random bsods to unresponsive programs. Updates stuck in loops. And driver incompatibilites. Never ever upgrade to the first releaae of any major uodate until the bugs have been ironed out. Currently wiping machine and starting iver with fresh install of 23h2. Il be hiding 24h2 until they get a grip.
That's exactly the same attitude that people had when Windows XP was released, then with Windows 7 and then with Windows 10. It's getting boring, if you don't want to upgrade then don't upgrade but don't get upset when software no longer supports the OS you are using.
For the time being, but then software like browsers come out with new features that aren't supported on older OSs. You can really see it if you try running XP.
Thank you so much you reporting this! I hope it will come out som updates for the new version of windows 11 to make it strong and stable. For now i will stay with windows 10 and windows 11 23H2. I also running windows 7 on vmware
I hope this is only a bug as I have two such NAS's. I am running Windows 10 (Thank goodness) but am concerned if this issue isn't fixed for the future.
You can, but you have to run the gpedit (Group Policy Editor) and tweak 2 settings. Windows 11 24H2 has a much more secure network than Windows 10 and 11 23H2. Google 'Windows 11 24H2 can't connect to my NAS' and then select the 'Accessing a third-party NAS with SMB' link. scroll down to where the GPEDIT solution is explained. Just 2 options you have to check, and change. It worked for me.
When I thought I had updates stopped, they managed to sneak in that bloody update anyway. The list of problems is endless. Memory is used like 50% on startup on my laptop. When I close the lid and restart it, there's 50/50 chance of getting a blue screen. I can't get the login screen without pressing Crtl-Alt-Del when it's been on pause..... How crazy is that. My games? They start up with 5fps speed 😢 not playable at all. I did get some of the extra downloads mentioned again yes. Btw, i do get the need for the in video promotion, but what's the point of recommending a site for buying windows 11 keys if it's so terrible as you make us aware of ????? Mind boggling for sure.

That announcement was the day I started delaying upgrades on my home PCs until the last month of support; definitely no regrets on that decision lol…
My windows stopped starting, it would get to the black screen and wouldnt start and indeed i got the sfc errors and being fixed. Suddenly a new update seems to have fixed it now though as i was on the point of re-installing.
Sometimes it'll boot to bios but a restart seems to boot normal.
cam stoped working for face id on my other system the sound keeps dropping out if watching movies on amazon ect be rolling them all back
Wait... There was a bug with trimming ?
Same problems here. So I went back to Windows 11 23H2 until Microsoft fixes all this problems and bugs . thank you
not all bugs can be fixed.
how did you do it?
WTF...
mine failed last night
why do people think it's so important to update soon? because it's called security updates capiche? update should be tested and work. maybe it's because they're so concerned with stuffing windows 11 with freaking garbage that nobody noticed a 9 GB freaking file laying around on the file system?
I'm still on windows 11 23h2 and working fine
had no problems whit the temp file removal. but i debloat my windows every time i update , so i dont have any windows ''mandatory'' crap flying around in my sistem
Windows is making Linux inevitable!

No matter how hard Windows may suck, Linux sucks a thousand times harder! I may go back to Windows 10 myself. The new Windows 11 is a bit clunky and slow.
@@EmptyPot-1 I suppose that depends on your use case.
Linux is free if you don't value your time. If you think upgrading drivers on windows is bad....wow, linux is something else
@@shanes.6227 Exactly! I would make a minor amendment to your statement: Linux is free if you don't value your time or mental health and wellbeing.
Yes, I have sfc /scannow and windows cleanup issue but is it a major problem? 😄
Nope, it's been broken since Windows 10. lol
System installed 24h2 overnight, fortunately had non of the issues you've mentioned. Had a few updates since without issue. Let's hope it lasts, but I've got my doubts!
FPS DROPS SINCE 2H42, RANDOM SMALL DROPS CAUSING STUTTER
Sfc /scannow issue with corrupt files after running no matter what. Also storage sense still showing previous windows even after cleaning.
It's a false positive, and nothing to worry about.
booting is fucked up now and takes forever since this update
Just edited the registry on a family member's laptop. Gonna keep it on 23H2
If you don't know what your doing, please don't mess with the registry - It's the #1 way to make your OS unstable and cause all sorts of problems.
NO KIDDING. It messed up everything in my system. No online games would play and would lock up. Menus wouldn't work. I rolled back and shut down updates. I'll wait for a few months until the bugs are gone.
So I gotta sn770 do I just not update my windows and wait for a fix I’m on the one literally right before this scuffed update
I upgraded to windows 24H2 ang got Office 365 apps (word excel) down. Cannot reinstall!!
when do M$ not have problems with thair updates
This is why I always wait a few days before installing any Windows update. I don't want to become a Microsoft guinea pig.
In Windows 11 24h2 windows update cleanup 8.63Gb files problem I'm also facing. They are not cleaning up.
It would be great if they fixed the audio issues for recording on windows 11. It’s really annoying me
@@WillFuI haha.
It wouldn't be Windows if it didn't have problems.😂
24h2 sucks nothing works right going back
I have installed 24H2 but i have faced no such issues mentioned in above video. I guess i'm lucky 😅 Btw i have tested everything mentioned above video
@@ashutoshgupta6871 that's what happened when you upgraded early
@leebennett7014 - always back up before a major change... .. butsaying that.... the way windows installs by default can make it difficult for most people to back up only the OS, because by default programs and data are dumped on the same partition.
I've installed 24H2 on 1 supported PC, and 3 unsupported PC and also had NO problems.
BS, you just haven't found all of the jokes they given you.
Top Lesson once again Brian thank you 😁
All my games run at max settings on Win10 with my 3080 RTX 10GB, so i moved new clean installed to 24h2, and some of my games crashes with error not enough vram available. after lowering some of the settings those games worked. whereas in WIN10, everything is max without any issues.
I will not touch win11 until they sort out all those stupid bugs, otherwise win10 still winner.
It's becoming pathetic. Bugs after bugs
I'm in windows 11, but those issues are frustrated, so now i decided to install windows 10
No issues with Windows 11 24h2 here but then I am in the Release Preview Channel
Dammm its windows update that not let me play valorant fk
Since it's a full OS swap is better to wait a month or two to get working patches
Of course it has problems. It's not an OPERATING SYSTEM, it's a SERVICE. And that was the plan from the beginning...
I am constantly getting crashes and I screwed up my computer trying to fix it.
SFC / scannow is fixed in latest Release Preview channel update released yesterday.
Why they say buy new system
Windows 10 loses support next year and its still miles ahead of 11! MS need to read the room we’re all good with 10 thanks
That's exactly the same attitude that people had when Windows XP was released, then with Windows 7 and then with Windows 10. It's getting boring, if you don't want to upgrade then don't upgrade but don't get upset when software no longer supports the OS you are using.
@@terminusaquo1980 yeah but 7 & 10 turned out to be good 11 is more like vista when everyone stayed on XP
10 sucks ass compared to 11 cocktail sucker
For the time being, but then software like browsers come out with new features that aren't supported on older OSs. You can really see it if you try running XP.
Win11 is better than Win10. I upgraded a long time ago and would not want to go back. Also I have not had issues.
The only problem I can see is that windows 11 is shit and regret changing from windows 10
well im stall on windows 10 Home 22h2 not going win 11 my pc doesn't meet the requirements for bloatware 11
Windows 11 24H2 - The Dysfunctional Edition
so what is the use of having their Insider program ffs ?? Now MS also found a new way to harass customers with the old intel iGpu driver game.
Thank you so much you reporting this! I hope it will come out som updates for the new version of windows 11 to make it strong and stable. For now i will stay with windows 10 and windows 11 23H2. I also running windows 7 on vmware
You're welcome
What bothers me most is that you cannot use a NAS after the update, especially the Synolgie ones ....
Thanks Microsoft, i was forced to use linux to finish my job, tomorrow i'm going to buy an iMac...
Amazingly they're not ground breaking bugs, if that's the sum total I'm not too worried, thanks for the update Brian !!
My laptop is stuck in reboot
I’m not installing this trash 🗑️
Waiting on windows 12 to fix all this nonsense
Welp, so on ryzen you either chose better performance or less buggy buggy OS.
Run well
