Hi guys. 1st service (15k kms) of my Skoda Kushaq is done and completed. Total service cost - 4,707/- What I had to pay - 1,977/- I had bought the 4years maintenance package from Skoda to reduce the yearly cost (24k for 4 years) The 1,977/- I had to pay was for the Engine coating and AC disinfectant which was not covered in the service package. Also, an extra 1,200/- I had to pay for pick and drop since the service centre in Trivandrum has shut down and I had to take it to EVM Ernakulam.
Thats the bad news. Malayalam Skoda have stopped service in Trivandrum (don’t know about Kollam). So people living and staying in Trivandrum like me, going to be a task to get a service or even a small check-up. A new group is talking over the Skoda dealership in Trivandrum. Not sure by when they will start (hopefully by Jan 2023). So to all Skoda owners in Trivandrum, wait till Jan’23 to get a new Skoda service station 😢
@@roythomas916 thanks for the comment. I travel through chakka and see the sales showroom always closed. I see their service centre in karikakom on a daily basis which used to be filled with Kushaq, Slavias, Rapids. From last week or so I see only couple of old Lauras there.
@@roythomas916 what skoda has to focus now is to come up with more showrooms across kerala... Its sad that many potential customers are skipping skoda for this very reason... In our case, there is no single skoda showroom in malappuram district..... The nearest one is at calicut about 60kms away 😑..... Its not only the case of yearly serviece that one has to depend the showroom, all the things from A to Z of the car (atleast in the initial years) has to be checked in the showroom.... So its a tiresome add on that would be skipped by most of us, looking for nearby options where maruti and hyundai scores the most.....

I change within 1.5 or 1.7. Athe avam reason. Because when i rev the engine and change gear, sound is not audible

Active variant is not stopped. It is manufactured on order now. Also Skoda added more variants in between like active classic, ambition classic, montecarlo. Major change is 8” screen is now standard across all variants. Everything he said is true. Because I own a Kushaq ambition AT :)

I think I have seen his car in technopark. I have a red kushaq.. even my car purchase experience is same. loved polo but due to space constraints, i wanted to get rapid 😝 ended up buying kushaq ❤️ Loving this car each and every moment since last 6 months
One thing I disagree with him is his statement “paddle shifters are useless in kerala”. In kushaq automatic its very useful in overtaking. Kushaq has this feature of using paddle shifters down/up while in automatic mode just to change the gear and it will automatically change to auto mode after 5 seconds.

One the headlights or with the drls With drls Once your engine is off and key is out of the keyhole, simply turn down or turn up the indicator stick to turn on the parking lights to the specified place - right or left. The drls will come on to the specific turn indicator to have choosen. With headlights Once your engine is off and key is out of the keyhole while the headlights are on, the car shuts down the headlights also. But if you press on the unlock button in your flip key, the headlights will turn on for about 15-20 sec and will turn off automatically. Hope this helps!

Venue and Sonet got i checked. Like I said, I went for a bigger compact SUV for more space. And most importantly, safety. Venue and Sonet looks cramped inside due to the dark colors. Yes Kushaq is not yet safety rated, but when you drive both Venue and Kushaq, you will know the difference. Pine 6airbags ala kariyam..the structure of the car is more important in safety. Eg. Kia carren was only rated 3starts when tested with their 6airbags variant. We need to know that as well.

Active variant is not stopped. It is manufactured on order now. Also Skoda added more variants in between like active classic, ambition classic, montecarlo. Major change is 8” screen is now standard across all variants. Everything he said is true. Because I own a Kushaq ambition AT :)

One thing I disagree with him is his statement “paddle shifters are useless in kerala”. In kushaq automatic its very useful in overtaking. Kushaq has this feature of using paddle shifters down/up while in automatic mode just to change the gear and it will automatically change to auto mode after 5 seconds.

With drls
Once your engine is off and key is out of the keyhole, simply turn down or turn up the indicator stick to turn on the parking lights to the specified place - right or left. The drls will come on to the specific turn indicator to have choosen.
With headlights
Once your engine is off and key is out of the keyhole while the headlights are on, the car shuts down the headlights also. But if you press on the unlock button in your flip key, the headlights will turn on for about 15-20 sec and will turn off automatically.

Venue and Sonet got i checked. Like I said, I went for a bigger compact SUV for more space. And most importantly, safety. Venue and Sonet looks cramped inside due to the dark colors. Yes Kushaq is not yet safety rated, but when you drive both Venue and Kushaq, you will know the difference. Pine 6airbags ala kariyam..the structure of the car is more important in safety. Eg. Kia carren was only rated 3starts when tested with their 6airbags variant. We need to know that as well.
