I could listen to this a million times over
I lost my wife of 22 years on november 2nd. I dont like Christmas music, usually. But this song went through my soul. How she was able to sing that song, with its amazing highs and beautiful ups and downs is nothing short of perfection. Ive never had a song bring tears to my eyes the way this one did-and i wish i could meet her in person to tell her how she touched me so deeply. There is talent- and then there are people that make talented people stand back in stunned silence and awe. That is Kelly Clarkson. Truly amazing , Kelly. Thank you for sharing your pain with such incredible melody and grace. You deserve to be loved and appreciated far more than i believe you have been.
My mom passed on Nov 13th. My parents had been together for over 25 years and I know how hard it's been for my dad. I'm so sorry for your loss. Stay strong. But feel what you gotta feel too

At the end I think she did show some of the emotion she was holding in so she could get through the song. Watch the corners of her mouth as she finishes the song and then turns her back to the audience. Bless her heart.

Given the difficult times this lovely girl has weathered the past few years, and also knowing her caring heart, I'm amazed she can sing this without breaking down in tears. Actually, I'm the recent widow of M. Man. Thank you for the compliment, SC. I'm up there in years now, but in my entire lifetime, I can't recall an artist like Kelly, who has clearly gone through so much pain. And written songs about it--she is so joyful. Kelly’s Christmas special was perfect! Her voice, gowns, hair and makeup, band and backup singers, wow! The guest, her songs, her voice is brilliant! I love her more each time she sings! Incredible voice! Did I mention her voice?
This whole special is one of the greatest live recordings in TV history. The quality of her vocal all evening was on par with the greatest vocalists ever. She's that special folks. I've seen her 4 times live and only when she was 6 months pregnant at Hershey Park was she a little pitchy. She's the greatest live pop singer of this millenia so far.
