    It is in a little gated set up that is walled and secured, and that provides security.

    There are apartments just like this on youtube being called "luxury". I don't like to do that, and this one is just as nice if not nicer than those. For privacy, I would put those -- you can see out, but you can't see in-- shades on the window, presto, all the privacy and light you want.

    I think it is a decent value for an unfurnished place--and as an expat in Cuenca, I am concerned that I would need to completely furnish it--refrigerator, oven/range, washer/dryer, curtains (as you mentioned), and all the furniture. I wonder what they would ask for a fully furnished model in the same building? Otherwise, once one purchases all the furnishings, they really tie one down to the area.

      Yes, rents are back to normal, for now. We know of a 3bed furnished for $300, has everything for comfortable living. Not sure if it is still available but here it is, watch the video and let us know if you want us to find out the availability on this apartment. Thanks. ruclips.net/video/KvRSejGxvx4/видео.html

    Hi Frank and Angie. Great info as usual. What would be the approximate cost to furnish everything, medium quality furniture etc. I'm talking linens, dishes, pots, tv's the whole kit and kaboodle. (No Italian marble statues).😂

      We did make a video about that subject back in 2015, prices have not changed that much, so you can probably get a good idea here about the costs: ruclips.net/video/d2UBpmcEo0o/видео.html

      @@HMFamilyLife Your right about Mexico. Have been looking and you won't find anything that nice for that price in Mexico. In fact what I have been seeing for $250 ( has now gone up to $300.00 ) is a studio apartment, all one room. No cupboard doors anywhere, and no closet door. That price is one big room and a bathroom and the price is going up. The one you just showed and I have seen the furnished one you show as well are nothing short of fabulous, especially the price.

      Looking to escape the jab. Which is really gene therapy. I have done lots of research on the so called virus and the gene therapy jab and want nothing to do with the jab. I don't know if we are any better off in Ecuador than in Canada except for the great reduction in the price of living.

I wonder if u have to get ur own major appliances? if so what do u do when ur done renting

      They are in the process of putting up the electrical wire all the way around the perimeter of the property. Anyone can put in their own locks and latches if they want. You can do pretty much whatever you want, the landlords are cool people. Thanks for commenting.

    • @HMFamilyLife
      @HMFamilyLife  3 года назад +6

      You are absolutely correct, so why do people keep coming to these poorer countries and living in luxury for? why don't they just come here and live at the local standard? Money is NOT everything and we appreciate that you got the point. It would be soooo much better for the locals and really for those who realize they can be happy without all that luxurious material stuff around them. But to each their own. We have NEVER paid more than $300 and $400 in Italy, Poland, Eastern Europe and south America or Central America because money is not everything! Thanks for sharing.
