    Great work and a nice practical solution. Another, less involved remedy may have been to procure another LCD readout with a paired remote control fob.....around $ 20.00.

    Yes everything i fitted came in one box from supplier of the heater itself, sins then i fitted new heater and new control panel, i might do another video on this later on, the second one im able to make this new heater adjust automatically, starts of on high until it reaches 18c in the van and gradually drops speed until 20c is reached then just runs on minimum

    Also on the remote control fobs it appears you cannot differentiate between Fan speed and heater setting° you have to manually change the let's say the speed on control panel then use remote, and same with temperature then use remote. There is only +&- and on off on most fobs.

    They sell remote controls for these heaters :)

      They come with remote control, but sometimes I misplace it, having a screen with controls near your bed is just extra convenient

      The thermostat is located on the controller. Needs to be inside if the D.H is outside such as in most jeep usages

      But the remote does not work if an object is in the way

    Hi, i cut the cable at the diesel heater leaving just enough for me to attach extension, the cable i used was 12v - 15A i do not know the exact gauge of it as it was not indicated on the roll

    Hi what size wire did you use for the led display. Also did you just cut and reconnect. Thanks

    What gauge of wire

    • @differentangle2937
      @differentangle2937  2 года назад

      The wire is pretty small, when i got it at the shop, all it said on the roll is 12v 13a, my guess is that it is about 28 awg

      This control panel doesn’t need thick cables as it operates relays inside the heater itself to turn it on, best thing to do if you are not sure what wire to get you can cut a small piece of the original cable and bring it to the shop with you

    So, basically, if you want to extend the cable, you need some extra cable.
    Pretty useless video, no info at all.
