This connection method is just what I needed! Could not get mine working with my pedal board/loop switcher. Running it through my effects loop either killed all decay from reverb, delay, modulation etc. or it did nothing based on where I place it in the loop. And just running it in front of my board also did nothing, was starting to think I got a cockless blocker. I tried this set up, pedal board (loop switcher in/out) in place of your single pedal in my case, and it works like a champ! Doesn't mess with my effects loop effects. Thank you Ola, cheers!

I don't understand why most people use Boss NS2 when it did absolutely nothing for me and have been running a ISP decimator 2 for 6 years with zero issues, zero noise running a 6505+ at full gain with a Maxon OD808
I have an MXR full bore metal pedal with non adjustable active gate. I spent a week playing around with gear (new to me) and everything squeals and tremendous feedback. No matter what I tried. I hear of using a “gate” forgetting that the mxr pedal has an active gate. Problem solved. I run my gain higher and up my distortion with very very minimal noises. I’m using the new gojira drive pedal and that produces a huge amount of gain
I think people can agree that music, guitar, and sometimes even gear related videos are better when high...although I laugh A LOT when I'm high. And right now, I don't think my stoned ass should've watched this video taking that into consideration. Help, I am dying. To be real tho, I'm not big into noise gate pedals. but this actually sounds really good with cleaning up extra white noise and feedback, making the chugging Meshuggah-style riffs sound cleaner and tighter ;)

speaking of Solar Guitars, due to the color grading (I suppose) sometimes your lime yellow turns into something like Lambo Yellow and it's just awesome. Just sayin
I just received mine yesterday and testing it today. Using with an ES-335 with my BYOC FET preamp in the Blocker In - Blocker Out jacks into a Marshall Astoria on the Gain channel. It's fucking GOOD! 10/10

I don't know why all amps don't just come with a built in noise gate at this point. My Randall RG3003 has one built in and works perfect.
