- In that video i compare the Mrshall Kilburn 1 with the new Kilburn 2. I hope you enjoy!
For the comparing i have used a "Rode VideoMic Pro Unidirectional condenser microphone". Setting was 0 DB.
I have tested the Speakers with a kind of an Ambient Track from my Past i had created with a Programm. I decided me for that Track to show the deepth of the Speakers!

I bought the original Kilburn, 8 years ago, a beautiful- retro thing, everyday i use it still going strong inc battery, looks like and old Marshall amp, and sounds great and very loud, the Kilburn 2 looks nowhere near as nice, as for sound i don't get better than the V1.........reserve battery costs 30 euro's..........thumbs up for K1
The original looks great. The II looks cheap compared to it.

Hallo, würde mich für die Track Software interessieren. Habe genau die selben Klangfetzen in meine Titel gemixt, damals in den 1990ern. Lustig das mal von anderer Quelle zu hören.
Habe noch 10 Titel als mp3 gespeichert und höre sie mir immer mal wieder an :-)
Den Kilburn 1 habe ich schon 5 Jahre als treuen Begleiter im Garten. Viele Bekannte zeigen immer wieder Daumen hoch was der für nen sauberen Klang abliefert. Gerade was klassische und Instrumentenmusik angeht. Aber Trance geht auch gut ab ;-)
Das würde ich dir sehr gerne sagen, aber ich habe den Track nur per Zufall wieder gefunden. Techno creator oder sowas in der Art, ich weiss es leider nicht mehr :-). Viele Grüsse, Alex.
@@Jellocheck Ursprünglich Dance Machine und später als Dance Ejay vertrieben. Dazu wurden dann noch einige Soundbibliotheken angeboten. Wurde mir dann zu teuer :-)

Hey I saw on comments you mentioned replacing battery. How do you replace or where is the battery located and where to buy replacement battery?

I had only ordered that new replace Battery to chang it when it goes empty. Both of them work great since over a Jear now.
@@Jellocheck It'd be a great video of you replacing the battery, what battery type and how do you charge it.
You have only screw off all 4 screws. Then you see the Battery. You can take the Battery out when you pull out the cable. Thats it. Greetings Alexander

I just bought Kilburn II. It got very good sound quality. It's built of HQ materials, and working great. But there is one problem. When You try to use it with TV or laptop, after 10 minut of silence it go to standby (sleep), even when it's plugged in. And it will not turn itself on when you play something. You must click button by hand, which is very frustrating. Except that, it is nice product.

Do anyone else hear that weird side voice in Kilburn 2 bass? I say Killburn Original for the pure sound quality and kilburn 2 for the durability and 360, a like sound. Kilburn 2 have more bass tho but it's not that clear and tight and so natural what it is in the original, hmmm taste thing. I think the 360 sound takes something off. I definitely like more Kilburn Original sound, because i think it is fuller. Like pure and natural, without too much weirdness. I think that the durability in Kilburn 2, takes a little bit off the sound but it has that ipx2 sertification meaning drop resistance. What comes the update: i don't think that i need the bt 5.0, im happy with the bt 4.0 and i don't need the 2 device connection or only the drop resistance. I don't want the durability and 360 sound if it takes something off the sound. Oh, and you can't change the battery on the Kilburn 2, but Original you can! But everything depends on your usage and what you want from your speaker. I want pure quality, style and change my battery if it dies, so Kilburn 1 is my choice!
Absolutely. I have my Kilburn 1 since Januar 2018. I take him almost every Day with me in my Bike Bag to my Work. I use him often outdoor at our campfires in Winter and Summer. I still never had a Problem with him! I love the Kilburn 1 and like the Sound much more. It is more clear i think! But thats my personal Taste.

Also findest du die erste Generation sogar besser als die 2.e ??? Ich überlege gerade welchen von beiden ich mir zulege... ich mag Bass und hab gehört der 2er soll in der Richtung besser sein allerdings bin ich mir nicht sicher ob das die 100 Euro mehr gerechtfertigt. Vielleicht kannst du mir ja weiterhelfen GRÜßE
Gute Frage, gut sind beide auf jeden Fall. Wenn du den 1ser an eine Rückwand stellst, habe ich für meinen Geschmack absolut genug Bass. Ich benutze ihn hauptsächlich in der Arbeit. Ausserhalb stelle ich ihn immer vor mein Fahrrad über das ich mit paar Jacken eine kleine Wand improvisiere und es reicht auch gut. Der 2er ist auf jeden Fall etwas satter und auch zu einer höheren Lautstärke. Der 1ser ist etwas klarer von seinem Gesamtbild. Für mich war das entscheidende der wechselbare Akku, mit diesem habe ich auch vollster Lautstärke für einen ordentlichen Lagerfeuerabend immer genug Power. Es ist wirklich schwer, aber ich würde dir vorschlagen, einfach beide zu bestellen und dann diese abwechselnd abzuspielen. Auf dem Video von mir kommt das leider nicht gut rüber, daher echt testhören. Viele Grüsse, Alex

Absolutely! I am a real electro, Goa and psytrance fan and the Kilburn plays all of them perfekt!
We had loots of picnicks with also psytrance. Neural overcharge set ozora plays great on this
I have marshall kilburn 2 portable speaker.
Speaker keeps making weird sound like disconnected and reconnected while i am scrolling youtube video's on home screen.
Or while scrolling music on Spotify.

I have also noticed after battery getting too low speaker make the same disconnected and reconnected sound.

Hey, i only use my Kilburn with a 3.5 jack plug and haven't had any of the problems you mentioned. Best regards.

Difference in sound between Bluetooth and Aux?
I have testet that and i think, that the Sound is much louder with AUX. I have the iBasso DX90 in use! Its a really powerfull Player!

Which one has a better sound quality??
The only thing I can tell you is that I bought the Marshall 1 first. I have only ordered the second One, to hear the differences between them. And the Difference was to small to decide to buy the Second One. I feel like, both have a good sound! I decided me for the First Marshall because I can change the battery there.
Alexander Jellinek and sorry to ask, just make it clear for me, why would you need to change a battery? Will I face the same issue?
