      Agreed I just wish there was a full complete video of a U.S Airways flight from well over a decade ago because I love that airline and the noise of those U.S Airways jet engines relaxes me so much that I could fall asleep within 5 minutes because it’s so soothing and relaxing💞

    Around the 40:00 mark you can see Mt. St. Elias in the foreground and behind it, you can see Mt. Logan. Logan is the highest mountain in Canada and the largest mountain in the world, not including mountains whose base is below sea level. I actually geeked-out and measured Mt' Logan on Google Earth. It's about the same size and shape as Lake Tahoe. Whenever I go to Tahoe and look at the mountains, I think how small they compared the mass that is Mt. Logan.

      Well, it wasn't really luck. This was the planes commemorative last flight and I knew it was happening. So, I knew the plane was going to do the SEA-KTN-WRG-PSG-JNU-ANC that day. Hence how I got to fly on it for 5 flights.

    Great fly! Do you watch the SPC (Storm Prediction Center) outlooks for your hometown with marginal, slight, enhanced, moderate, and high level risk? This is because I use this when I tell about severe weather (tornado, wind gust, hail, floods etc.) is incoming for your hometown. I typically only warn you about the severe weather when it is enhanced risk or higher mainly because you fly a lot and you don't know that the severe weather might be coming to your house, which can cause damage or destroy your home (doesn't have to be tornado) and injured your family. You don't want to be in deadly situation. So if you me comment about this, you'll need to tell your family about the severe weather while flying. You'll need to keep eye on your family to be safe while flying.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад +2

      No, not usually. I've lived here for 27 years now. You kind of just get used to the potential risk. I live in a part of the country that goes outside on the porch when severe weather is approaching haha. You know, to watch haha. If it get's bad, I can usually tell just by looking, but I also have emergency alerts set up on my phone and we have a steel lined safe room in our garage, so we're pretty covered.

    Well, there it is, folks. My GF will get paid for only 40% of the hours she did for her jury duty. What a lousy deal!
    Anyhow, another fine video on your part. Watching Jurassic Park The Lost World. I wouldn't want to have been where Julianne Moore was when that trailer was hanging over the edge of that cliff. And what's with Jeff Goldblum's need to go faster? He tells Julianne Moore "increase your rate of climb"
    I'm guessing you won't be doing any flights to and from Jurassic Park or Isla Sorna anytime soon. :)

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад +1

      Sadly not flights to any of the Jurassic Park locations anytime soon haha. Something about accidents involving the animals and guests canceling all flights.

      @@sla31 Or planes being attacked by a Spinosaurus.
      Anyhow, velociraptors were a lot smaller than depicted in the JP movies. The filmmakers decided that they wouldn't be scary enough, so they used Deinonychuses instead. DN's and VR's lived on different continents with VRs living in Asia and DNs living in Montana.
      As it was, T-Rex's also lived in Montana, so if the T-Rex's and DN's seemed like they knew each other in the movies, it's because they did in real life.

    Great Video!!! Always love your videos with Alaska Airlines My favorite Airline here in USA. I’d love to fly a Milk Run flight perhaps next year. That looks like a really nice scenic Flight and I could get great photos. I’d use my phone for this.
    I want to know what is the best time of the year to do these flights what is the cost? I’m near LAX in California. I’d fly LAX to Anchorage then to Seattle and back to LAX. What are your recommendations for Hotels in Alaska and Seattle?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад +1

      Window alignment is the most important part. If the window is in a weird location in relation to the seat, it can be almost impossible to hold the camera. I'm my experience you want the window be right in line with the armrest. That way you can just rest your arm on the armrest and you don't have to contort your body just to get the shot. I use www.aerolopa.com to check seats and window alignments. It is easily the best seat map site out there.

      I do not. I film everything with iPhones. Currently the 14 Pro. IMO, GoPro image quality is subpar, and they are far too unreliable.

      @@sla31 Use mobile 📱 phone holder to suck on the glass of craft 😇

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад

      @@lestertrump666 unfortunately that’s not an option. For two reasons. First, some airlines just outright dong allow it. It can really depend on how the flight attendants are feeling that day haha. And second, and more importantly, it ruins the footage. iPhones have amazing cameras, big they’re not designed to be action cameras. So when you use a suction cup, all of the vibrations, of which there are many on airplanes, they get transferred directly into the lens of the camera. This causes the footage to be warped and distorted. Believe me, I’ve been doing this for 8 years, and I’ve tired dozens of different mounts. They all have failed miserably, including $100+ drone “vibration dampening” mounts.

    737 890 ?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад +1

      Yes, 737-890 is the specific aircraft type. Before the 787 and the 737 Max, Boeing used "customer codes" and these were added to each aircraft to identify which airline the aircraft was originally built for. Alaska's Boeing customer code is 90, so any aircraft hey bought from Boeing was automatically a "90" at the end of the aircraft type. 737-790, 737-890, 737-990, etc.
