I used to go to Starbucks every now and then years ago for their Frappuccinos, and never got their PSL. Now, I’m glad I never did, and don’t go to Starbucks anymore. I’d rather stick with dunkin. Modest coffee at more reasonable prices. Oh, and not as confusing with seven billion different alterations.
Exactly! Dunkin is just better and cheaper. Starbucks really cornered the "special drinks" category, which can just barely be classified as coffee. It's just a cup of sugar and flavored syrups with some coffee splashed in. I don't even want to necessarily hate on starbucks all the time, but it's hard not to when you also consider the price.

Fun fact (though this video is older) when my son worked at Starbucks in high school, the employees called the logo "The Sea Hag" and all of their blended drinks "Diabetes in a cup." They had other derisive words about the products. Overall, it wasn't a bad place to work for a high school kid as those sorts of jobs go. At least the staff were fun people judging from their sense of humor about the "Sea Hag" and the drinks!
The pumpkin spice latte was decent in 2006. Every year since, it has declined in quality and since about 2012 I stopped ordering it completely. 10 years and never going back.
Honestly I feel like Starbucks in general has declined in quality while increasing in price over the past decade. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like you noticed it too.
To be fair to this beverage, you gotta have it hot, not iced. That being said, even when I worked at a specialty coffee company with access to amazing espresso, i remember making a pumpkin spice latte with the best ingredients possible and still not loving it. Overrated shoutout! 🎃
