    Really really wanted to believe Bryce was the answer. Carolina did a great job building the o-line and giving his weapons. Bryce was the least pressured QB last week in the entire NFL, and still only threw for 84 yards. I like the move because this gives the coach and GM and opportunity to see what the offense really is with a confident and experienced QB. We know Andy Dalton won’t get us a ring, but for now, it’s the right move. Keep your head up Bryce.

    The young man looks defeated. I think the beating he took last year from all the sacks has him a little scared. On top of that, being booed is not something the average person will go through in their lifetime. Being booed is a life altering event for anyone, especially his generation, where it's about "likes." The young man is 23, and the way people are, I would be surprised if he hasn't received online threats.

    Andy wouldn’t miss DJ 9 times wide open, he would see Theilen running wide open all game long, Dalton maybe has some rust but a drive or 2 and he will shake it off he’s been in the league a long time & has done good things in this league, in 19 games Bryce has 11 TD passes to 13 ints that’s not gonna keep you at the helm for long in this league especially with a staff in charge who had no part of drafting you here

      This is the comment. You listen to all these analysts saying this and that but I’m surprised none of the former players are stating this fact. They know if the team doesn’t think he is the guy, they will give up and eventually want out. They realize it’s not too late to turn things around and have a respectable season. We will never get the “truth” on the feeling of the locker room, but those sideline actions speak volumes.

There's players in contract years trying to show their potential. It's not just about Bryce. Canales is trying to build a culture that includes accountability. Keeping Bryce as the starter wasn't gonna be good for anybody, including Bryce. You could already see the potential for it becoming a toxic environment. We would've thrown Bryce into a deeper and deeper hole. At least now he still has some hope. Sit back and digest everything and get your mentality together. Idk, go and hit the weights hard. With Bryce under center the team had become unwatchable. The guys in his draft class have shown flashes even as bad as Levis has played at times the games I have seen him play he gives you flashes. Bryce has shown me nothing to say he is ready or is going to be a good NFL starting QB. He can't throw deep, can't see over the middle, throws off his tip toes, and has lost all confidence. I dont think Bryce has any trade value and I dont think the Panthers will cut him either so i guess he will be the backup until Andy gets benched or hurt.
    Our whole offense seems to be designed to attack the middle of the field which Bryce is too short to do. Youd think he could work the outside instead but his arm and terrible footwork doesnt really allow for that either. Best case scenario is he figures out how to play around his limitations and they can try him again before the end of the year probly when they’re eliminated from playoffs.

    Playing in the preseason is situational to every QB. For a Rookie QB that was in a bad situation last year and struggled. He should have been out there to get his confidence, also get custom to the playbook under a new coach. playing games that didn’t matter where he’s allowed to make mistakes. Instead they pushed him out there where he’s not allowed to make mistakes. And expected to put the team on his back and win. Bryce hasbeen mismanaged by the Panthers. And never given a fare shot. Mark this comment. I bet you we beat the raiders next week. The amount of excuses that was made for bryce last season was crazy. Putting the entire offense down in the procwss. Last year, when the o line did give time, when wrs did get open, he was still missing the receivers CLEARLY or didn't even see them. That has carried over into this year. I've agreed with nearly everything you get at because you're realistic with these things like myself. Your Refusal to criticize bryces play always left me flabbergasted lol yeah i said it. Dalton obviously isn't the answer, but bryce isnt either, and leaving him out there will only destroy his abilities further. We have him on contract so im open to him sitting all season, gaining some that confidende but overall he needs to work on his vision and reading. I was never a fan (I'm a uga fan so I watched bryce) of his coming out of college because he was never...extraordinary to me, he was surrounded by nfl talent playing in collegiate ranks. I never believed the "benching breaks confidence" narrative. If that's all it takes, then the player isn't made for the NFL. Look at Darnold and Mayfield; benched, traded, and discarded, but they found themselves in situations that work. Bryce may not be cut out for the NFL, but until he's paired with a staff that actually wants HIM, then we'll never see what he can become. Reich and crew didn't want Young, that was obvious with the Stroud video, and Canales wanted an HC job, he could only get this one. So Bryce hasn't had an opportunity to play under a coach that sought him out.

    There is no down the line for Young at the Panthers it’s over. Tepper is a hedge fund guy. They win they lose but they act. So he acted. They will probably trade young if anyone wants him maybe Cleveland ?

    Doesn't surprise me at all. Of course Bryce will look good in training camp and practice when he doesn't have to worry about the other team coming after him lol. Just shows that college doesn't always translate to the NFL. He wasn't mentally gifted enough to overcome his physical shortcomings (no pun intended). Bryce has to be the worst overall #1 bust of all time, especially taking into account what we traded to move up and get him.

    This benching was definitely a must. Bryce Young is a bust. Period! The team's performance is definitely on the coaching staff. The lack of preseason action for the starters on either side of the ball is evident by the performance on the field. It shows in the Stat box. We won 2 games last season, and the team needed all the practice they could get. Bryce is not an NFL qb. I believe this move was spearheaded by Morgan. I don't believe he was a Bryce truther. Yeah, he was the assistant gm last year. He was not the gm. Who else are you going to have be the qb if not Dalton? I 100% believe this was the right move. Admit your mistake and move on.

    I don't get why everyone is making such a big deal about it. We're not cutting him. Clearly the kid could benefit from taking a seat on the bench and watching a veteran go to work. After yesterday, if I were in his shoes, I would've put myself on the bench. Watching tape from yesterday, it's clear that he's just not all there mentally anymore. Not sure if it's the pressure from the locker room and the media, but he needs a break. Take a breath, watch from the sidelines, get your confidence back, and light that fire again man because Bryce sure as hell isn't playing like a "dawg".

      His time in Carolina is done & over the regime that drafted him is all gone fired because of him being the pick but Tepper can’t fire his wife so others moved along, Canales wasn’t letting Bryce get him & Dan fired as well when Andy is more than capable of making simple throws

    • @rturner9
      @rturner9 2 месяца назад

      @@keeppounding9534 I hear you, but Bryce demonstrated pretty solid accuracy and the ability to make plays and throws last year. We're seeing a regression this season and a pretty big one at that. We're seeing the failure of execution when Canales let Bryce "play more freely". The guy can't execute anymore. Who's to say that all it would take to see a turnaround from him, is a season of watching and learning? I still believe in him, but not in his current version. At minimum he deserves a chance to go to a different team where they know he will shine.

    Some people are really dumb, this whole year can’t be about evaluating one player. We have 80 individuals to evaluate, this year is about evaluating the team just like every year is when you are rebuilding. Brice has been evaluated, he’s. Ass.

      @@UBSportsTalk qb is the most important position. Which is why people were saying Bryce is the problem last year despite people disagreeing. Improved offense (minimal or not) across the board and results are same/worse. It’s the QB. The price is worth it… if you draft the right QB…

    • @x416xmusic
      @x416xmusic 2 месяца назад

      As a matter of fact.. the reason I’m pissed is not because of the problems we have. We have… many problems. My issue is we don’t have a solution. We had a chance to draft a solution last year first overall… but we drafted another problem, which I knew was the case before the draft. Andy is 36… he’s not expected to be a solution… he’s just a guy. The number 1 pick is supposed to be the solution… drafted wrong. Which was obviously the case to some lol. Makes no sense why he’d be the pick. Organization set back for more years.

    Sorry I disagree with your comments. I think this should be a wake up call to Brice. They worked with him all summer on his footwork and mechanics. These first two games have shown he is lost, poor footwork, poor reads and a totally non existing functional offense. He needs to clean his head sit down his pride and work to be ready. He is now backup. He needs to be ready when his next opportunity arrives. He needs to take that and run.

    Came outta nowhere my azz. It was obvious to me it was coming the staff have to do what’s necessary to win and it’s obvious to me Andy gives us the best chance. I still haven’t understood why it didn’t happen last season… Tepper doesn’t want to admit he made a monumental mistake…. Don’t F this up again build the best team like the 49ers did and then find the best QB to drop in but never go Bankrupt chasing a slam dunk QB when there is no such thing…. It’s becoming so hard to be a panthers fan. Keep pounding

    Not a panthers fan but this move seems like a knee jerk reaction. You dont play the starters in preseason then make a qb change after week 2? TBF Bryce looks horrible, but a decision like that after everything invested is borderline insane. Bad ownership, and maybe it came from him or he gave his blessing for the move. Either way the HC was hired to get the best out of Young and didnt even get a fair shake imo. Its not like the roster is loaded with blue chip players. It was a 2-4 win roster before this move. I'll be interested to see where this franchise goes, because they're about 2 FA classes, and 2 drafts from being competitive. Might as well trade Young now for a mid round pick and move on.

    I think Bryce needs to see a therapist. He currently cannot handle the mental pressure that being an NFL QB places on someone. As soon as he gets his mental issues fixed maybe he has a chance with his next franchise. Panther nation needs hope and though I dont expect anything from Andy, (we should still have a top 10 pick) this should help them be competitve and be a tough out for all teams left on the schedule. (Don't forget we have our TE's and Jonathan Brooks coming potentially to the rescue as well)
