I was at the game today. Right around the 1st half 2:00 warning the players were standing around on the field waiting during the break. All 10 offensive guys were hanging out in a circle talking. Bryce was standing a few yards away by himself. He wasn't moving. Nobody talking or even looking at him. No coach, ref, or player wanted to be near him. He just stood there frozen like a kid that just got screamed at by the teacher and didn't know what to do. He was nor waiting for a play call. He was just waiting. He has the respect of noone on that field or sideline. He was the last to be announced at the opening, huge mistake. I honestly felt bad for him, even with his $30,000,000. It was that bad. But right then I knew he was broken. Right then I knew it had all collapsed in on him. Playing him a single second more is so pointless. It's wrong for all the players, coaches and fans. It was brutal to watch live. His time on Carolina has come to an end if Tepper understands a single thong about football. He doesn't though .

I was there too and 100% feel this. Bryce young has lost all confidence, I feel bad for him. He rushes his passes because of his height and that’s when he makes mistakes. He’s in a very tough situation, I feel that if Bryce was at the 49ers or team of that quality, his college talents could translate.

I love your channel but I remember last season you would mention in your videos how cj stroud had such a better cast around him. You said at least once “Bryce young doesn’t have a tank dell or a Nico Collin’s”. That always annoyed me the way people would act like stroud went to this amazing situation just to make excuses for Bryce. Tank dell isnt even that good he had a great season because he was playing with stroud. Now that they have diggs dell has basically been a non factor in their offense. Nico Collins was coming off of a 400 yard season and stroud made him a 1000 yard receiver. He also had a rookie defensive oriented head coach. Were the Texans a better team? Of course. But acting like stroud had all these amazing weapons was always just cope from the fans. Stroud elevated that team and made that offense look so much better

Bryce deserves most of what you all are saying, but this coach put him in this situation by not playing him in the preseason. I think he was hiding this entire team by not playing the starters more than one possession. Young is normally getting harassed on blitzes, and NO ONE is picking them up or getting run over if they do try to pick up a blitzer. He’s not allowed to audible out of a bad play and evidently there are no hot routes in Charlotte.
The Panthers have bigger problems than just the QB spot. Mayfield was in Carolina and stunk, but look at him in Tampa. Darnold in Carolina and stunk, but playing well in Minnesota. Maybe not as bad as Young but the problem is deeper than just QB. They all have offensive and defensive playmakers. There is not a single offensive playmaker opposing defenses have to worry about. There is not a single playmaker on the Panthers offense or defense with Brown gone. It is just a bunch of mediocre, good players that do not elevate their own gameplay or the gameplay of those around them. Young needs playmakers around him to just be good and without them he is awful! He doesn't even show flashes of being a franchise QB. He is at best mediocre, but nothing more. Carolina was not the space for Mayfield or Darnold to flourish, but when you have playmakers their true talent shines.

The real issue is simply one thing: CULTURE. This is why Baker and Sam are balling, and nearly everyone who leaves does great. Heck, Matt Rhule is looking good at Nebraska! The culture here is small and smelly and goofy. It wasn’t always this way under Richardson/Rivera. Cam said it….we will never go anywhere with current ownership. Right now we have puzzle pieces scattered around and no clear understanding of what the picture is. Figure out what we are then build around that to create a foundation for success

I'm a huge Alabama fan and I've watched every Bama game since Saban arrived in T-town. As much as I've loved most of Bama's players, I was critical of BY during his senior year in college and I was flabbergasted when he won the Heisman, and then drafted #1. I posted comments with reservations about the little guy -- his lack of foot-speed, his medium-strength arm, his puny height & weight -- and I was torn apart by Bama fans, saying stuff like "How dare you!?" and "You must be an LSU fan". Well, what do you know, I see quite a few football fans think BY stinks as an NFL quarterback and Carolina needs to start over.

Not a Bama fan, but I’ve always felt the same way. I would not have chosen him in the 1st round. “Magic” doesn’t happen in the NFL, at least on a consistent basis. These guys are too damn good. You have to be close to elite at something. Kyler is short too but he’s well built for his height, has a big arm and is hella quick.
Positives of starting Bryce: 1. If he doesnt improve, we get the best picks possible. 2. If he does improve, we will still get great picks because we are bad. 3. Andy will almost for sure win more games and decrease pick value. 4. Not that I believe he is going to be great anymore but if he does figure it out then thats one less pick/ trade to make. But wow Bryce is not giving us anything, not a single reason to think he is the future.

Bryce deserves most of what you all are saying, but this coach put him in this situation by not playing him in the preseason. I think he was hiding this entire team by not playing the starters more than one possession.
Young is normally getting harassed on blitzes, and NO ONE is picking them up or getting run over if they do try to pick up a blitzer. He’s not allowed to audible out of a bad play and evidently there are no hot routes in Charlotte.

The Panthers have bigger problems than just the QB spot. Mayfield was in Carolina and stunk, but look at him in Tampa. Darnold in Carolina and stunk, but playing well in Minnesota. Maybe not as bad as Young but the problem is deeper than just QB. They all have offensive and defensive playmakers. There is not a single offensive playmaker opposing defenses have to worry about. There is not a single playmaker on the Panthers offense or defense with Brown gone. It is just a bunch of mediocre, good players that do not elevate their own gameplay or the gameplay of those around them. Young needs playmakers around him to just be good and without them he is awful! He doesn't even show flashes of being a franchise QB. He is at best mediocre, but nothing more. Carolina was not the space for Mayfield or Darnold to flourish, but when you have playmakers their true talent shines.

Just gonna keep posting this stat. In 18 career games Bryce Young had 2 games over 100 QBR, in 19 career games Desmond Ridder had 5. You just cannot play Bryce in the NFL, he's not good enough.

The real issue is simply one thing: CULTURE. This is why Baker and Sam are balling, and nearly everyone who leaves does great. Heck, Matt Rhule is looking good at Nebraska! The culture here is small and smelly and goofy. It wasn’t always this way under Richardson/Rivera. Cam said it….we will never go anywhere with current ownership. There’s something that Tepper is bringing that creates this stank culture.

Right now we have puzzle pieces scattered around and no clear understanding of what the picture is. Figure out what we are then build around that to create a foundation for success

I'm a huge Alabama fan and I've watched every Bama game since Saban arrived in T-town. As much as I've loved most of Bama's players, I was critical of BY during his senior year in college and I was flabbergasted when he won the Heisman, and then drafted #1. I posted comments with reservations about the little guy -- his lack of foot-speed, his medium-strength arm, his puny height & weight -- and I was torn apart by Bama fans, saying stuff like "How dare you!?" and "You must be an LSU fan". Well, what do you know, I see quite a few football fans think BY stinks as an NFL quarterback and Carolina needs to start over.

Not a Bama fan, but I’ve always felt the same way. I would not have chosen him in the 1st round. “Magic” doesn’t happen in the NFL, at least on a consistent basis. These guys are too damn good. You have to be close to elite at something. Kyler is short too but he’s well built for his height, has a big arm and is hella quick.

Positives of starting Bryce:
1. If he doesnt improve, we get the best picks possible.
2. If he does improve, we will still get great picks because we are bad.
3. Andy will almost for sure win more games and decrease pick value.
4. Not that I believe he is going to be great anymore but if he does figure it out then thats one less pick/ trade to make.
But wow Bryce is not giving us anything, not a single reason to think he is the future.
Does anyone feel like Bryce has lost the locker room ? I just can’t help feeling that way. The defense is playing hard but Bryce is killing them with 3 and outs. The receivers are working hard and getting open but Bryce just can’t see them or throws the ball out of reach. The team is so frustrated right now.
As a chargers fan, seeing Bryce’s reaction after the INT was the most bad I felt when watching another team lose. Dude has no confidence and looked about ready to cry.
