Subscriber for a while but just set up my 2 home pods and connect them
On my apple tv 4k and my old tv.Just wondering how come only one homepod is giving out sound even though both are paired already. Anybody can help?
Great video man! Is it possible to output sound to both a atmos HomePod pair AND your tv speakers? I would love to be able to use the homepods for atmos and my subwoofer attached to the tv at the same time.

I’m not having any luck. If I switch to tv speakers and play a new movie with all that Dolby it shows up on screen but if I switch over to using my HomePods it just shows Dolby vision and not Dolby atmos and I can’t figure out what’s wrong
I had the Amazon Echo Studio and used the firestick with it and noticed every few days it would lose signal and I couldn't figure out how to get it back to sync up with it wirelessly other then just unplugging the power and plugging it back in and thought to myself why did I go this route, but realized I only did it because at the time Apple Home Pods didn't offer Dolby Atmos, but now of course they get an update so I just ended up selling the stupid echo studio because it was making more work to troubleshoot it then just to turn on the TV and off you go.
Anyways, I bought 2 of the Home Pods, basically disconnected all my Amazon products and said screw it, I am sticking with Apple which I always liked more anyways.
Yes you pay more for their products, but it comes to no surprise that hey, my speakers work every single day without me having to troubleshoot them like I did with the Echo Studio.. I will say that the Studio did seem slightly louder but the Home Pods sound way cleaner so it's the clear winner for me.

When you play a video that has Dolby atmos the “Dolby atmos” logo doesn’t appear on the top right correct? It’s already on automatically
Correct. The easiest way to know is *before* you hit play on a movie... the preview/description page on Apple TV will have the respective “Dolby” Vision and/or Atmos icon. When watching a movie, just press the “Menu” button on the remote. It’ll show up there as well.
I already have several Apple TV’s and 1 HomePod. The only thing that is stopping me from buying a second HomePod and making this switch is my xbox. I play A LOT of xbox,and I assume you loose this function through the home theatre with the HomePods. also i assume the ARC function for watching OTA TV thought the home theatre is also lost? Am i correct in thinking this ? You cant output the xbox or OTA TV through the HomePod home theatre setup can you ?
You’re assumption is correct. There is no crossover. As of now, you can not output your XBOX or TV through HomePod. Thanks for watching!

Why do you set 4k HDR and not 4k Dolby Vision?
My main TV does! This particular TV supports HDR10 only, unfortunately not Dolby Vision. Thanks for watching!

My goal was to show setup, verify the setting is enabled, and show what icon to look for on a movie to verify that Dolby Atmos is actually working. If all of these settings are enabled, then you are getting Dolby Atmos! Hope that helps!

Why are you sending the sound left and right through the video? Makes me feel sea sick.
Thanks for watching, Sam! I noticed that. The mic on the my iPhone not knowing when to use which mics. It is annoying, so I've already ordered a directional mic to keep this from happening again in future videos. Once I get it resolved, I'll make a video about it so others don't have the same problem.
