How much does growth mechanics of things like Wheat, Carrots, Melons, Sugar Cane, Kelp, Bamboo, Dripstone, etc. affect lag? I remember a while back that Kelp growing out in the Ocean would cause all sorts of lag, but I think they addressed this in 1.13 or 1.14. SILENT!! Something really massive for bedrock players and lag. A recent bug causes all rtx cards to act like they are ray tracing even when the option is disabled, this causes the game to lag massively around things that don't really cause lag otherwise on non rtx cards such as super laggy chests or items on the ground. Using a 3rd party tool called nvidia profile inspector you can make minecraft think your card is not able to use rtx and it increases game performance massively, like, 2-3 times as good. Before I changed the setting even a few thousand items was lagging my game but after I did, I was able to break all 60 double chests of rotten flesh in my gold farm with only minimal lag. I was also able to use /fill to place 10000+ chests which only slightly lagged my game, and I used an nbt editor to revert save versions and it didn't even lag pre 1.19.50 which caused most of my lag issues. I have a question.🙏 Can building farms outside our render distance (6 chunks) would reduce lag? Should I shift my iron farm & gold farm a little far? And should I build a bridge that connects all my farms spread throughout my world??
A far as I understood: 1. the a little more important value (than render distance) is simulation distance. If I start a new world the default is 4 chunks for that, you may check your's. If your farms are further apart than that, you should have less problems. 2. Building a bridge should not cause a lot of lag as long as it is not moving or updating lights constantly. Just maybe check that you're not loading several farms at once while walking over your bridge (i.e. keep the distance)
@@Ainiria Thanks. My simulation distance is 4 chunks only.. And instead of lanterns, can I use A Block to produce light? Like Shroomlight or Froglightm
Good stuff, except 2.4ghz is usually pretty bad, especially in dense neighborhoods. You get channel overlap and since things like Bluetooth and microwaves all run at 2.4 you’ll get a lot of interference. You may have good signal, but your SnR might be low and you’ll drop a lot. Also, higher throughput standards like 802.1ac and 802.1ax.

Wow ! Thank you so much ! I have a poor pc who will be so happy to suffer a lot less 😂 I have been looking for age for information about hos to reduce lag in bedrock. Thank you so much silent !
I have personally found that the "Limit framerate" option is very buggy and has only reduced my performance. Bedrock always limits itself to your monitor's refresh rate anyways - it isn't wasting cycles rendering frames that aren't even going to show up. On my laptop with a 60 Hz display, I can get 50-60fps in a realm with limit frame rate off, but 35-40fps in the same area if I have it the limiter set to 60fps.
i heard someone say "fires" cause lag, and they said if you mine with beds in the nether, you should put out all the fires. I was thinking that the fires would reduce spawns of some mobs like skeletons and leaving them would be less laggy (and also less mobs to fight on the way back). This was on a realm.. but in general? Thoughts?
So, my base is in a meadow, next to a snowy peaks biome. I usually build both on the meadow or caving into the mountain side. After a considerable amount of time building a farm inside the mountain, I started to get a huge lag spike every time I turned my head in a certain direction, facing the mountain side. So I found out that several skelletons got trapped into powder snow holes and turned into strays, which prevented their death. Only the ones with hat survived the sunlight, but after days playing around the meadow I was able to make an unintentional stray farm that almost killed my world in lag and took four of my character lives to get rid of...
Can someone help I play Minecraft on my switch and my world isn’t all that laggy but sometimes when I break or place blocks it takes a while for them to disappear or appear. They break as soon as they should but the visual just doesn’t update how do I stop this?
I have lag jump stutters about once every 5-10 mins on Xbox, can be quite annoying if your on an edge of a tall drop,as it will freeze and then I'm falling, wish mojang would spend some time fixing some of this
I use realms because I play on Xbox and most times after a while my world will just disappear, no matter how hard I try to get it back I never can, something to do with the syncing I think. But with a realms I don’t have to worry about my world just up and leaving me.
My world corrupted. 1.3gb size, my base had a 160 furnace super smelter array, a 1,000+ chest storage system, a 13x9 map wall that was 50% filled in with Lv3 maps, and 100 villager trading hall above. 😬 Also had two bee farms each with 8 bees, and an iron farm running in the spawn chunks. It was pretty laggy in my base, but a necessary evil. In hindsight, I should have put the villagers a good 200 or so blocks away, and maybe cut down on the chests and had a smaller super smelter, as well as not exploring the map so much
Another thing that I have found that lags my creative worlds is leaving repeat command blocks on for a while. It seems like, even when they’re not set to summon entities, they still slow my world down a lot.
So for the last tip about not using realms, what’s a better alternative for ipad/console? I have a world that i play on ipad and ps4 that my kids also join on their switch.
I need help, my Minecraft realm is laggy, and when i say laggy i mean im running 2 fps on a 3 year old Xbox. It happens anytime I join the realm, the realm has mods btw. I even turned off all mods and stared straight at the ground and i was still running 15 fps. This lag happens anytime I stand still for a while, everything starts moving slow before moving really fast to the place where they should be, also any damage I take gets afflicted at a really quick pase. Help asap because it usually fixes itself but its been like this for 4 irl days.
That Max Framerate setting is extremely problematic. Whenever I set it to anything besides "Unlimited" I get terrible lag in the game instead of 60 fps. It is best to leave it alone and use the graphics card V-Sync settings to limit the game's framerates to what the monitor is capable of.
what do i do when i have a slime farm, iron farm, bamboo farm, cactus farm, mob farm, spider farm, furnace smelter, storage system, maps, cobblestone farm, chorus fruit farm, zombie farm, afk fish farm, pumpkin and melon farm, food farm, cow farm, sea pickle farm, and more all in one area? I'm making a factory btw.
I noticed the villagers were in water. I built your iron farm and I think my rates are lessened because the villagers disconnect and reconnect to the beds. I didn’t think we still had to do the water thing anymore. Would the water help?
@@silentwisperer really? So how do you keep them from uncoupling from beds and workstations? Mine are still in water and haven't had any trouble, but if that's not a necessary step any more thats great news for future builds!
Wow, now I know why my important worlds have taken up 400 MB. It’s been the maps this whole time. That’s pretty sad as I like using maps :( I also didn’t know that the better your GPU the more laggy it is. Hope that the bug gets fixed soon so I can run Minecraft better on my RTX 2060.
There is quite an easy solution to the lag caused by RTX graphics cards - you need to use nvidia Inspector, find minecraft and disable RTX support for it. Then it runs like on any other non RTX graphics cards. To check if you have done it correctly go to settings -> Video in minecraft bedrock and the ! mark next to Ray Tracing should read: You need a specific device to use this feature.
How was the lighting updates confirmed as a source of lag? I've tried to replicate it but had no sucess with it. Also was it a client side or server side issue? I do wish the categories of lag were identified with each item on this video. I've had to re-assure some people I play with that their large storage halls with chests aren't effecting the server or my own game play elsewhere in the world.
Heya, I've been having lagging issues on the minecraft bedrock as a whole. What's confusing me though is up until a couple of days ago, my minecraft worlds had been running very smoothly without any lag. the fact that the lag is occurring on all my worlds, and new worlds I make, has me thinking it's my connection, but I have no idea why it's worked so smoothly until now.
if you have input delay when playing minecraft (as in the game responds to your mouse, keyboard, controller, on touch screen around 0.5 seconds after u use it (which can be a HUGE pain)) then set anti-aliasing to 1, i have a really old pc with only 4 gb or ram and playing minecraft was a pain because i couldn't look in the right direction due to the input delay, but setting the anti-aliasing to 1 fixed it
also, the old pc i was talking about i also had to set max frame rate to 60 as well as setting the anti-aliasing to 1(note before i lowered the max frame rate and anti-aliasing the title screen had input delay as well like the whole application had it but now it's fixed)(also if you are on windows then type sysdm.cpl into the run dialog box(it might actually be sysdm.cdl i am not sure if it is a d or a p) then in one of the tabs there should be an option for performance settings, u click that and u can try setting it to best performance(note the system performance settings is usually only needed on old/slow PCs)), if u have a better pc then maybe try 90 fps
I have a bedrock edition on my xbox. Every time when I select an item from my inventory, chest, and creative mode item selection, it just lags the background a bit, and it's kind of annoying. Is there any way to fix this problem?
If thats the case you probably need a way to extract the exp from the killer and deliver it to the player. (Possibly destroy it, does exp get destroyed by fire?) Atleast this would solve some of the lag from a Trident killer and might make them usable for you again for any farms you feel like you need them for.
I prefer turning (experimental) max frame rate to unlimited and turning vertical sync on, My MSI Pulse GL66 was having performance issues when I set maximum frame rate to anything other than unlimited on my RTX World just having max frame rate to anything other than unlimited gave me 30 fps above ground now I get 70 - 80 above ground and 113 below ground with max render distance
How did you miss baby turtles? When they struggle to pathfind there is ZERO FPS for several seconds. I almost abandoned a world assuming something was corrupt but eventually found 3 turtle babies that were stuck and the moment they were free everything was fine.
On ps4 its when the games saving is the biggest issue. Hard freeze at times can't access chests or doors. Not got alot of red stone made small farms which I have 3 in base. Do pumpkin lanterns cause lag?
Map maps maps ever since I noticed they didn't work like legacy consoles and when ever a map was made it had a number even, I stopped using maps all together
hey silent i have a question. is there a way to instant or at least faster restock the villager inventory that you dont have to wait a few minutes to buy more. i mean something like the piglin fast bartering with pushing gold ore. i think if there is a way its really usefull so i dont have to get 50 villager. and could you make a video about bedrock flying machines? i want to use a few different types of them but i still dont get how they exactly work in bedrock😅 thank you and keep going with your amazing content.
I remember a short by somebody else that if you have a rail system to get you out of the area a villager you are trading with (open trading interface, then you leave) is out of render distance. 50 blocks I think.
So i came looking for answers about the issues im dealing with on my solo world, everything went smoothly from the start and when i started a raid thats when the issues came out and several chunks are affected by this,i tried it on another world and yes i was correct, raid lags a huge area of chunks and when u go far from the affected area it doesn't lag anymore, the lag makes the mobs animation deaths very slow, blocks i mine fall in a slow motion and when eating,it takes several tries until it actually fills my saturation idk how to fix this and this night be a permanent issue on my solo world
One thing I noticed that kills a MC World (Both on Java and Bedrock) is Campfire Smoke almost had a Lag related death because I was making a Bubble Column near a farm with Campfires (I Forced quit my OS and installed something that disabled the smoke and had no issues with lag in that area)
I have a Minecraft bedrock world that I play with my friends but the world on my side lags when they go through portals or load into a different dimension. I host the world. Is there anything I can do to stop that or not?
Im not too sure why my base is laggy. I do have a few of the infinite observer thingies but only like 8 total. how much lag do each of these generate? is 8 of them too many? EDIT: Seems like this lag might be from the RTX supported GPU. I have an RX 6700XT and it lags quite a bit while my dad's rx 560 does not lag hardly at all.
The only thing that’s making me laggy Is the hundreds of pieces of kelp that I placed in my creative world to try and make my pond not look like a mess
I have 0 lag on my PC, but on my switch it lags almost constantly. Same world. Crazy. Only place with 0 lag on the switch is in the end, because I have not built anything that creates lag there. Cannot fly very far though.
Hey silent if you have bee hives with bees in them in a Shulker box and try to move it around your inventory you will drop to 1 frame a sec no matter what your using PC console doesn’t matter…
I built a kelp farm for xp and built 60 blocks down full of chests cause I was too lazy to empty them all the time, maybe thats whats causing lag in my world💀
7:30, amount of items doesn’t need a graphics card, most of the processing in this case is Computational, so having better GPU doesn’t really matter, it’s for CPUs like the intel i9, or amd CPUs.
@@silentwisperer in some amount you are correct, because the imagery of the kelp did cause a big amount of lag, but most of the lag was from the process of computing the entities, which is also why even chests that are empty still cause for lag than solid blocks, because they are entities.
In hindsight, I should have put the villagers a good 200 or so blocks away, and maybe cut down on the chests and had a smaller super smelter, as well as not exploring the map so much
Damn, rip
I feel your pain
Rip world O7
Always make world backups. You can use world edit to delete entire areas from your world backup later on to keep it safe
@@Funky_Brotherreally how u mean its like we never explored that part of world right
Bro💀💀
Another thing that I have found that lags my creative worlds is leaving repeat command blocks on for a while. It seems like, even when they’re not set to summon entities, they still slow my world down a lot.
oh yea there use to be a bug with those 🤔 pretty sure they fixed that though
Hey silent any chance you could do a video on a massive portal ticking golf farm
So for the last tip about not using realms, what’s a better alternative for ipad/console? I have a world that i play on ipad and ps4 that my kids also join on their switch.
That help sooo much thx you soooo much
😊💙
It is best to leave it alone and use the graphics card V-Sync settings to limit the game's framerates to what the monitor is capable of.
also, having a very high tick speed can cause major lag and computer heat up. just changed my tick speed from 150 to 7 and noticed a large change
what do i do when i have a slime farm, iron farm, bamboo farm, cactus farm, mob farm, spider farm, furnace smelter, storage system, maps, cobblestone farm, chorus fruit farm, zombie farm, afk fish farm, pumpkin and melon farm, food farm, cow farm, sea pickle farm, and more all in one area? I'm making a factory btw.
I noticed the villagers were in water. I built your iron farm and I think my rates are lessened because the villagers disconnect and reconnect to the beds. I didn’t think we still had to do the water thing anymore. Would the water help?
Water hasn't done anything for a long time
@@silentwisperer wait so we don't need water anymore?
@@silentwisperer really? So how do you keep them from uncoupling from beds and workstations? Mine are still in water and haven't had any trouble, but if that's not a necessary step any more thats great news for future builds!
@@silentwisperer silent can u make a stacked iron farm ?
I still have that same villager trading hall!
What if you're on a console and can't edit your world? How do you control your world size? I'm at 600mb currently. Playing on Switch.
Trying to reduce lag by replacing the chests
Villagers: BARRELS!!!! WE MUST BECOME FISHERMEN!!!!!
Heya, I've been having lagging issues on the minecraft bedrock as a whole. What's confusing me though is up until a couple of days ago, my minecraft worlds had been running very smoothly without any lag. the fact that the lag is occurring on all my worlds, and new worlds I make, has me thinking it's my connection, but I have no idea why it's worked so smoothly until now.
if you have input delay when playing minecraft (as in the game responds to your mouse, keyboard, controller, on touch screen around 0.5 seconds after u use it (which can be a HUGE pain)) then set anti-aliasing to 1, i have a really old pc with only 4 gb or ram and playing minecraft was a pain because i couldn't look in the right direction due to the input delay, but setting the anti-aliasing to 1 fixed it
you can also try disabling the screen animations option in the video settings as well.
also, the old pc i was talking about i also had to set max frame rate to 60 as well as setting the anti-aliasing to 1(note before i lowered the max frame rate and anti-aliasing the title screen had input delay as well like the whole application had it but now it's fixed)(also if you are on windows then type sysdm.cpl into the run dialog box(it might actually be sysdm.cdl i am not sure if it is a d or a p) then in one of the tabs there should be an option for performance settings, u click that and u can try setting it to best performance(note the system performance settings is usually only needed on old/slow PCs)), if u have a better pc then maybe try 90 fps
Thanks bro
I have a bedrock edition on my xbox. Every time when I select an item from my inventory, chest, and creative mode item selection, it just lags the background a bit, and it's kind of annoying. Is there any way to fix this problem?
Drowneds in caves! Sometimes a group of zombies will convert in a cave and stay there until you spot them in Spectator mode
Your last note about not using realms bc lag... I play on the switch (groan) I need to play on realms for it to run smoothly...
I've long been needing this. Running a trident killer creates horrible lag due to the exp orbs, so I don't use them anymore.
If thats the case you probably need a way to extract the exp from the killer and deliver it to the player. (Possibly destroy it, does exp get destroyed by fire?)
Atleast this would solve some of the lag from a Trident killer and might make them usable for you again for any farms you feel like you need them for.
*USE SKULK CATALYST* if you don’t need the xp or on farms such as Silent’s minecart Ghast farms or triple spawner farms that you can’t stand close to.
@@_JustAnotherKid__ Does the cateleist take away the xp even if it has no where to grow
@@texttobejon1267 Apologies for the late reply, but yes, it should.
@@_JustAnotherKid__ nice
I prefer turning (experimental) max frame rate to unlimited and turning vertical sync on,
My MSI Pulse GL66 was having performance issues when I set maximum frame rate to anything other than unlimited
on my RTX World just having max frame rate to anything other than unlimited gave me 30 fps above ground now I get 70 - 80 above ground and 113 below ground with max render distance
what are you suppose to use if not realms? nitrado? does that work on xbox?
Where do we stand on spawn chunks because I just started building loads of things there. Will that forever lag the game?
How did you miss baby turtles? When they struggle to pathfind there is ZERO FPS for several seconds. I almost abandoned a world assuming something was corrupt but eventually found 3 turtle babies that were stuck and the moment they were free everything was fine.
My trident killer for the hoglin farm that you designed doesnt work after 5 minets of use.any tips on how to fix it
On ps4 its when the games saving is the biggest issue. Hard freeze at times can't access chests or doors.
Not got alot of red stone made small farms which I have 3 in base.
Do pumpkin lanterns cause lag?
Played on switch, made a huge map of my explored world
Probably like 30+ maps
Map maps maps ever since I noticed they didn't work like legacy consoles and when ever a map was made it had a number even, I stopped using maps all together
hey silent i have a question.
is there a way to instant or at least faster restock the villager inventory that you dont have to wait a few minutes to buy more.
i mean something like the piglin fast bartering with pushing gold ore. i think if there is a way its really usefull so i dont have to get 50 villager.
and could you make a video about bedrock flying machines?
i want to use a few different types of them but i still dont get how they exactly work in bedrock😅
thank you and keep going with your amazing content.
I remember a short by somebody else that if you have a rail system to get you out of the area a villager you are trading with (open trading interface, then you leave) is out of render distance. 50 blocks I think.
If I have some villagers or other laggy stuff far from my base not rendering will they still lag my game?
I really want to know if lava causes lag, cause I play on ps4 and I have a lava farm + i have a line of lave around my base
My squid farm basically breaks the game on my switch. No issue on PC though.. Maybe I should use amulet to move the farm further away.
I have a Minecraft bedrock world that I play with my friends but the world on my side lags when they go through portals or load into a different dimension. I host the world. Is there anything I can do to stop that or not?
All of my machines are made with frog lights as a base block to avoid lighting update lag
If I can’t use realms, how should I play with friends?
Switch and Xbox mostly
Thx
Realms are hosted on patatoes?
Silent loves patatoes!
Silent must love realms 😀
You got me there 😂
The only thing that’s making me laggy Is the hundreds of pieces of kelp that I placed in my creative world to try and make my pond not look like a mess
Good video
I have 0 lag on my PC, but on my switch it lags almost constantly. Same world. Crazy.
Only place with 0 lag on the switch is in the end, because I have not built anything that creates lag there. Cannot fly very far though.
So basically delete my castle completely is what you’re telling me. Great game
Hey silent if you have bee hives with bees in them in a Shulker box and try to move it around your inventory you will drop to 1 frame a sec no matter what your using PC console doesn’t matter…
I've seen *SciCrafters* place *composters* on top of *hopper chains* to reduce lag.
Does this work on Bedrock as well, or is it a Java only thing?
You say not to use a realm, but I've yet to find a better performing option for even a similar price, any suggestions?
I built a kelp farm for xp and built 60 blocks down full of chests cause I was too lazy to empty them all the time, maybe thats whats causing lag in my world💀
What about tick lag?
That's generally the lag I deal with the most
Can you tell me which mod you used for the fps
Ty 😂
I just love that my ryzen 9 amd 64 gb ram and titan xp are lagging so hard
The only time I leg is when I'm using a crafting table and when local multiplayer is on, it's REALLY bad leg tho
I have a massive storage system and a lot of villagers, I call my main island lagsville
7:30, amount of items doesn’t need a graphics card, most of the processing in this case is Computational, so having better GPU doesn’t really matter, it’s for CPUs like the intel i9, or amd CPUs.
rtx gpus can't handle small amounts of items is the issue. lesser graphics cards can 👍
@@silentwisperer in some amount you are correct, because the imagery of the kelp did cause a big amount of lag, but most of the lag was from the process of computing the entities, which is also why even chests that are empty still cause for lag than solid blocks, because they are entities. (I used way too many commas in that sentence.)
@@silentwisperer also, I am subbed and hit the bell, and love your vids, and liked your vids too.
snow golems pathfinding is the strongest cause of lag
About the map why they dont just remove the map data especially when im just died by lava
Bro I just start up a world and my game is struggling. It's gotta be my internet but my games never been that laggy b4 a couple months ago
you should make an updated version of your villager crop farm, your other one is over a year old and it didnt work when i built it
it still works, villagers are just a bit of a pain sometimes:)
5:18 my World was bigger then 100mb and now it can't load after an Update.... I'm playing Xbox and cannot fix it
