The Xiro drones have been superseded by the superior #AEECondor drones
A day targeting big fish with a fishing drone off Muriwai Beach. We catch kingfish, hammerhead shark, snapper and kahawai. Fishing area covered the length of the beach. First sets were 40 km north of the creek, second sets were 10 km north of Rimmer Rd and the last sets were just north of the creek. We used fresh mullet for bait and set six hooks on each set.
Drone casting distances were between 350 meters and 470 meters offshore. Usually we do a 450 meter plus set with a fully charged battery and for the second set on a battery we usually cast around 350 meters.
Surprisingly, in comparing the catch between 350 meter sets and 470 meter sets we have found them to be very similar in both size and number of fish taken.
Conditions on this day were almost perfect for drone fishing.

Nice meeting the crew out in Matata today 😀 Great day great team and GREAT PEOPLE churs guys
Excellent explanation thank you. And on my home beach. Nice
I liked the master's hat that wrote mykonos-
I am sending you friendly greetings from Greece
FYI. I can't speak for this drone but with my Splashdrone 2, when it is calibrated to the area in general it sets the compass and GPS for that locale. It doesn't set the take off point. Each time it is powered up it sets the take off point. It knows where it took off from and returns to that spot. If you move it 100 meters up the beach and then turn it on it will reset that as home when it starts up and return there after flight and using the home switch.
This was in the instructions that came with it and I have done this many times. Hope that is helpful.
These drones are the same and so is the condor fisherman 1000. They both come back to the last takeoff point. Calibration sets the general area.
good video very informative
I like the way you attach the sinker to the drone . Most other videos I've been watching have the weight right at the bottom - 10 metres or so below the drone.
It never tangles
reason for this is to stop the pendulum effect, good way to crash your drone that is
The further the sinkers the bigger the swing.
awesome video keep up the good work
awesome!!
It was great day.
Great video guys.
Great video~~^^
