    You can get a cheap DJI drone for $100-500. I have a cheap older one for $300 new a couple years ago and it goes 40 mph and I upgraded the remote myself and it can go over 2 miles out. I made a fishing rig carrier out of a metal coat hanger. Just bend it so it has a leg in each base foot and make a point so it can go through a loop or ring on your line. Fly it out straight, then turn 180 and fly backwards so the rig falls right off and into the water. I don't know their method for using multiple hooks, but it wouldn't be hard to set up. It is pretty neat method for fishing and you get a lot of looks at the beach.

      @@paulsfishingsystems I agree with all you say and have limited experience with any other kind of drone. But the cheap drone I have can carry between 2 and 3 pounds. More than enough for my style of fishing and still within my price point. I just can't afford the stuff you guys do and couldn't do it even if I could afford it. I love the videos. Just saying there are "cheap" options out there.

      @@robertm4050 The DJI Phantom drone cannot carry the weights you propose. You are taking stuff you read on spammy websites and youtube videos as truth. These sites don't care if you lose your drone , they just want you to click their amazon or ebay affiliate links so they get paid for the clicks, their claims and methods are often dangerous. Test your drone over land with the loads and clip you want to use, at the distance you want to fish, before you actually try fishing over water. You will quickly see what I mean.

    • @paulsfishingsystems
      @paulsfishingsystems  5 лет назад +3

      It's good that you have a cheap drone because your clip is very dangerous. When setting the rig any tangles on the rod tip, snags, reel over-runs or tangle issues caused by clumsy bystanders will tip the drone into the water and you will lose it. Fixed pins and remote release mechanisms are the biggest cause of drone losses. We use the Newton 3 release because if anything goes wrong when setting - and sooner or later it will - we just have an early weight and line release without any threat to the drone.

      Try it and see. Maximum lift is not a practical safe fishing load. We have lost three DJI’s trying.

    Hi, what is wind limit force that this drone can fly? Can it goes through 25-30 knots? Thanks.

    • @paulsfishingsystems
      @paulsfishingsystems  5 лет назад

      Most of the drones we use have a recommended maximum operational wind speed of 15 knots. We try not to exceed this but have been caught out by a few strong gusts when fishing in 15 knots and the drones have handled it OK.
