@@riflemanm16a2 funny, no one really responded, so we stopped doing them. I think we will just throw the openings in here and there. Kind of miss doing the stupid things. Thanks for the input.
I have A0, with frame from A1. I have around 13k rounds shot. I bought green striker spring right away to drop heavy trigger pull. What is important to mention, is the fact that after around 1K trigger became soft and it's not heavy at all. I read/watch a lot of reviews about A1 and newer heard about this recoil spring problems, so i quess this is some small fraction batch problem. In A0 common issue is rusting back plate and sights, but proper maintanace (silicon oil) solves it. Second and most annoing issue, is weak springs for magazines, which in time might cause the problem of holding slide in back position after last round. I bought couple of magazines later in time and still got this issue. The problem is in 15 round magazines. Third thing in A1 specifically is this coating which is called Aquatech by beretta. It has corrosion and wet resistance, but it wear off easier than previous blueing. This might be an issue for users, who dont like "battle work" look of their guns ;) Other than that this is great gun. I use it for IDPA/tactical competition and newer let me down. Thanks for detail
Thank you. That is one of our goals with the channel, not to be an advertisement for a firearm, but to talk about what we feel are the pros and cons, even the little things. We appreciate you watching and taking time to comment.
Awesome review, loved the detail and honesty!! Didn’t hear you talk about the take down, many reviewers say it’s extremely difficult. Would love to hear your 2 cents on the matter as well! New sub, you guys rock!
@@artifactdad thank you for the kind words. The takedown is easy, if done correctly. I believe we went over it in the review of the APX Gen 1 Combat, but we may have cut it. The problem with the takedown is, people don't realize you take it down with the slide forward. I have seen people locking the slide to the rear and then trying to take it down, like a Sig, M&P, or FN. Our Gen 1 APX is tighter than the Gen 2, but if you put a little pressure on the right hand side of the lever, it pushes out enough to turn down. Then pull the trigger and the slide pops right off. It's not my favorite takedown, but it's not bad. Thanks for stopping by and for subbing. We appreciate it.
We like ours too. Did you have cycling issues with yours? Seems some people do and others don't. We would have changed the spring anyway, but we were surprised it wasn't as reliable as our APX Combat out of the box. Let us know how that trigger is. We are always interested in hearing about how upgrades work out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@The2AExperiment I didn't have any cycling issues at all. I have put about 2,000 rounds through it. The only issues I had was the 21 round Mags not having enough spring pressure to lock the slide back. I contacted Beretta and they replaced my three original 21 round mags. My three 17 round mags lock the slide back with no problem. My trigger comes in this week and once I get it installed and go to the range, I will definitely let you know how it performs.
@@dimarcusa1 Thanks for the info. It must have been a batch thing. OG Tactical Solutions had an issue with his cycling ammo too. He has videos of it posted. We haven't had magazine issues, so again, must have been a bad batch of springs, in both cases. We look forward to hearing about the trigger. Some other subscribers have had a little back and fourth, either on this video or the APX Combat video, about which trigger is the best, so it will be interesting to get your take.
Overhand trick works for racking old one. It used to be hard for me to pull back but after reps my hands got buff I guess lol. Love the apx series it’s the best truck gun.
It's hard to wrong with the APX. We were surprised the tactical wasn't as reliable as out Gen 1 APX Combat. It's that damn spring. We shoot a lot of 147gr too, so it was better for us to just change out the recoil assembly. It's a cheap upgrade and I don't want my wife's hands getting buff. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.
great video by the way the way u go in detail is great and i’m learning about the gun im going to pick up on friday, question for the beam and the red dot did u get them from the official Beretta website, having a hard time finding it i found the red dot section but the red beam on the bottom i can locate it lol
Congrats on your new Beretta. I bought the plate for the red dot on Beretta's site, it is the Aim Point Acro Plate. The Steiner MPS red dot came from another company, but I don't remember where. Maybe Palmetto State Armory. I bought the competition spring from Beretta too. The light on the bottom rail is a Surefire X300B. I think that came from Berelli, but not sure. I have had it for a while. The Comp I have on the gun also came from Beretta, but I think their Warrior Comp is better. Hope that helps. Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by. We appreciate it.
Hello again, and thank you. We don't have a an Echelon. I looked at them and had a length of pull issue on the full sized. I kept getting trigger freeze, so opted not to get one. Always great to hear from you.
Just bought the apx a1 tac and im currently having the same issues with stovepiping and i was wondering what spring you purchased to replace the old one.
@@fullmetal1157 it's in the video for reference. I believe it is model C8C680. It's a stainless steel, multicoil spring and it's on Beretta's site. It's cheap too. Other companies are making them too, but we haven't tried them. Thanks for watching.
I called beretta after receiving the new spring to let them know it was the same spring that comes in the tactical and it is miss marked as a stainless steel competition spring. They said they would look into it. They also had me write a statement when I returned the spring, so they could address it. I also let them know the stock spring wouldn't run ammo, which is why I was ordered a new spring in the first place. I haven't heard back from them and the website hasn't been corrected. I saw another channel, G squred Tactical, who had cycling issues with the A1 Tactical as well. Maybe it was a bad batch of springs. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I love how much detail you include in your review. It's the kind of info that's hard to come by in a lot of the surface level reviews on YT.
