As an IT professional, this honestly felt like when an elderly user asks me questions, but actively refuses to listen or understand my answers.

The real issue is that the Chinese Communist Party controls every Chinese company through a shadow board, most of the time excluding anything put forward by the actual board. They cannot have any business dealings without being vetted by the CCP.

The main concern w/ TikTok that the US have concerns over is what information it collects and who it shares it to with including w/ the CCP even though they say they don't/won't but who's to say what their parent company, Byte Dance dictates and is under the influence of the CCP.

@@hwoarang2001 irrelevant. the matter at hand was regarding the law and the congressman is claiming is he BOUND to Chinese law. whether or not someone makes the decision to work with China upon request is not the issue. the issue is that he used Chinese law as the explanation for why the CEO must work with the CCP. even you didn’t make that claim - you see saying it is an ethnic reason he will work with the CCP. have that opinion if you like, but the bottom line is that he is not bound by law.
