His melodic dedication and pushing/ pulling of ideas across bar lines is the stuff that jazz legends are made of. Amazing blend of venerating genre specific vocabulary with modern swing interpretation.
Oh yeah, the piano player quoting hot house in octaves during his impressive solo was super sweet too!

Wonderful rendition. Group is tight and free. Solos are terrific. Chad is a fresh sound to me. Traditional yet his own style …..terrific musical conversation he has with himself. I like the moderation and restraint with respect to pizza toppings. Just right. Solid groove, not too fancy. Perfect.
Steven Feifke - Piano...A name to remember. There were some moments that took me out of myself in there. Truly elevated playing.

Love the piano solo! Very unique style. Of course everyone is amazing. Loved also the fours.
I haven't felt it in other Mr. Chad LB performances so far, but his sound in this performance is reminiscent of Benny Golson or Lew Tabackin.
I have an alto sax, do not know one thing about reading music, play by ear, I have lots of practice to do on it. Nobody becomes a master over night blowing the sax.

Man, you are incredible. Your ideas are so bouncy and fun. I can never listen to this song and not think of Brecker's take off of Chick's album, but I think your solo here is one of the best I've ever heard.
