That Bayridge Shore Road. That just brought me back... I lived there for 10+ yrs and now in Portugal! Awesome video with the hacks and that throwback! Happy 2024 brother!
When you pivot the batteries you move the center of mas outside the center of the tube and destroy dynamic balance. So for instance if you are in javalin mode the camera resists any move on the roll axis.
Thanks for your comment, it's a good point. I didn't like this option for 100% too and already found another option of attachment NP-F batteries directly to camera plate. Will make a video about it soon
@13:46 you talk about the handle of the old monitor mount. @13:06 you see this part at the right bottom corner I could not find this part in the description.
Yes, you won't find it. It's a part of CAMVATE grip for a director monitor, which I drilled by myself. You can replace it with two 15mm rails with 1\4 screw and connect it to cheese plate.
got a monitor mount hack for you if you wanna see it. that yoke is too small so i added an extension for an external monitor with the advanced ring grip handle. GAME CHANGING
Thanks for the super clear tutorial! Happy smooth shooting. I'm wondering though, if you mounted the quick release plate 90º to the nato rail you would have X + Y axis adjustment, no?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can get x+y axis adjustment if you'll mount quick release manfrotto plate right to the base rail. But why would you do so? 1. As I mentioned in the video - you don't need x adjustment on the top, because with the right balance of gimbal you'll have the same position for the center of gravity on top. 2. It's really hard to adjust (more accurate position) and mount properly the base rail from Tilta, because of the load on this part. 3. You'll probably need another quick release plate or make custom holes to mount it at 90º to the base rail. 4. Last you can do x adjustement with batteries.
I added some links to the parts that you can use - it should help you to get your own. It's not what I used in my own build, because I did DIY mount. Be creative
So, two plates comes with a Tilta float system kit (one attached to lowerback support, second you should find in your kit) and one extra plate you can find in the description. Name is CAMVATE Cheese Plate

Stabilization system is sensitive to any additional weight. Of course, you can use any 200g, 100g, etc, but how will you find the right amount or placement? In such method you'll be limited with position of your system, and won't be able to add extra gear, because you won't have a room for adjustment.
Hey, I used regular 1\4 bolts to connect the back plates, but you can always get a set of bolts. Here's two links for you: 1. amzn.to/3R3pCf0 2.amzn.to/47C6ewt

Great new video. The past couple of days I've been trying to decide what direction to go with for my back support. This is the way to go!!

Do you have a link or video or something. I want to place a 7 in monitor and my 5 in already scratches with the given monitor mount.

With such a modification of the battery, how can you roll it when it is lying horizontally?
Good point. It's the limitation, but I also think that you can use a vertical mode on gimbal and do 360
Could you please send us a part list of the pendulum?
Check the description, I added some links - it should help you. But it's not exactly what I used because I did DIY mount
Hi, can you please link the shoulder support and belt you used? Or if you changed the set up with better shoulder and belt?
No, I was the shoulder support from Tilta. Belt I made from its straps. Here's the link: amzn.to/4cOMjN9
Hey can you kindly post the part list for the pendulum?

I don't know about it, will check
Thanks for the video, can the tilta be balanced with one v mount or does it require two ?
I didn't test it this way, but pretty sure that you'll need two for the right balance
@@stepanweber thank you
The plastic attachments you are using come in larger sizes which are stronger.
Didn't have them on hand, but yes - they can be used too
about rotating the top mount why i can't put on weight 200g or 100g????

The cheese plate is currently unavailable 😢
I think it's possible to find a simular plate
Do you have an Amazon link for the bolts or can you tell me what size and type? Thanks!!

I should have had a little more patience, just got the cheeze plate and it came with 4 bolts. This is a really good modification!
