    I can’t balance in one way to use in vertical and horizontal.
    I dont understand how to do in that way, I can just balance for horizontal or vertical.
    Thanks

    I'm having issues with the wireless controller' it controls the rs2 movement but it doesn't permit me to pull focus' it doesn't respond. But it works fine on the handgrip wheel. Any thoughts?

    The BMPCC 6k takes CFast cards, not CF (which stands for Compact Flash and is the predecessor). Also, by using SSD to record, you sacrifice the option of camera control from the DJI Ronin RS2 of the BMPCC 6k. And yes, that fully works, if you have updated the gimbal to the latest firmware. Also, the HDMI cable should ALWAYS be the last cable to be plugged in to avoid the camera to use it as a ground plane and burn it's HDMI port out. The BMPCC are especially prone for this.
    As for the cable to the RSS port of the RavenEye, that's meant for remote control of the camera, when you don't use it with the DJI Ronin RS2. Is there any particular reason, that you connected that from the gimbal to the RavenEye. Because that most certainly is not mentioned in the manual anywhere.
    As you haven't allowed for an external battery for the BMPCC, you're not going to have a long battery lifetime. Smallrig make a special arca-swiss plate for the BMPCC, that lets you slide it sideways and that way you get more free space between the battery side of the camera and the motor of the gimbal. That also eliminates half the weights, that you have added there. And with the Niceyrig V-mount plate that gets mounted under the Smallrig counterweight bracket, you can then mount a slimline V-lock pack or the Core SWX Powerbase Edge battery under the BMPCC and get a much better balance plus a 4 hour battery lifetime for the BMPCC.

      Wouldn't the raveneye be in the way of the vmount battery? Even one with a slim profile?

    • @EmeraldAudiovisual
      @EmeraldAudiovisual Год назад

      @@luclaflamme4712 If you want to mount a V-mount under the camera ? Yes.
      But you can always move the RavenEye. It can be mounted anywhere, that you've got a cold shoe for it.

    I landed up sending it straight back the grip at the rosette on the belt is too shallow and not strong enough it very nearly cost me my gear as it slipped while I had camera attached and fell thankfully I managed to catch it,the ridges need to be bigger so it actually holds when you tighten it up I couldn’t trust that it would not happen again, I also found the belt extremely uncomfortable

    Even the skate reel footage looked wobbly. What is the problem there? Like shaking left to right, right to left? Seems less stable than without the Float or am I drunk?

    • @motionarytechreviews
      @motionarytechreviews  Год назад +2

      It's true the footage is wobbly. It was a left to right movement, i think that is probably because i was still practicing with it, with more practice i probably could get better results.

      Hello @ibfotografa
      In our build we used the TB50 Batteries from our Ronin 2 you can buy it separately. You can also use V-Mount Batteries, when you don’t have the TB50 Batterypack and don’t want to spent that much this is the better solution. If you bought the Gold Mount version you need to get a Gold Mount battery.

    I also got the float and tested it the last weeks. The main con is, that the arm is too weak or everytime at the edge of loading capatilibies. The second thing is, the belt does not fit very well. it pushes unpleasent to the lower back. i already bought a vest to it. Now it´s slightly more pleasent but not very well. the third point is the poorly made bolt that holds the float system on the arm. i wouldn't be surprised if the part breaks at some point and the entire setup falls to the ground. no steel was used here. I can´t understand why they used such cheap material.

    • @sk.newmedia
      @sk.newmedia Год назад

      i wouldn´t recommend this system for that price

    What, "if you have ronin 2, you probably have the battery package already" What do you mean? Why should I have that package? Where did you get the plate from? I got one battery, that was 400$ but only for one side.

    • @motionarytechreviews
      @motionarytechreviews  Год назад

      If you dont have the package you can use the V-Mount which is included in the package or the RS 2 battery pack. But if you want to have a same setup you can buy the stuff at B&H Photo.

    The footage is completely unusable for any serious work. I have tried every gimbal setup you could think of and the only way to get good stable shots in my opinion is to buy a new or used MoVi gimbal, and use an easyrig or readyrig and a segway to remove the up and down motion. Not exactly the cheapest solution, but if you actually want stable gimbal footage and don't have the money for a steadicam or and Arri Trinity, a Freefly MoVi Pro, Readyrig and Segway Ninebot S costs about $8,000 instead of $80,000 for an Arri Trinity. Better to spend $8000 once than to buy dozens of other crappy rigs and be constantly disappointed like I was. Now I shoot with the MoVi Pro and MoVi M5 and my shots are perfect.

      There’s so many videos out there that have smooth footage using the float though. There’s a learning curve to balancing of course, but there’s absolutely no reason why this shouldn’t work.
