To anyone who hasn’t seen the movie (including myself): if this is what a basic scene looks like, I can’t begin to think of what MODOK’s real face is going to look like.

Just watched the movie, the cgi looked pretty good on the big screen tbh. This was literally the only place where the cgi wasn’t great. Modok’s cgi especially looks surprisingly good

I noticed that in all three movies, Scott is having some relationship, story and focus with some characters in his life. Each one gets a turn with him in all three movies. 1) In the first movie, there was a relationship, story, & a bit of focus between him and Han. Both wanted to get back into their daughters' lives and Hank was his mentor, and being a father and parent, he fully understands Hank's situation and even understands Janet too, for what she'd be thinking (about Hope, that is), just like when he thinks for Cassie. 2) In the second movie, there's a relationship, story and focus between him and Hope. Both are having some crushes for each other in many ways. 3) We appear to be going to have a relationship, story and focus between him and Cassie. After five years trapped in the quantum realm, Cassie may have a lot of catching up to do with her dad. All these years, she thought he was one of the victims snapped from existence, before he came back to her alive. Now in this movie, this appears to be a journey for father and daughter. Though Hope may get involved too, along with Hank & Janet. Very sweet to see and hear from Cassie that if she had known that he was still alive and trapped in the quantum realm, she could've gone looking for her dad. Made me smile.

I didn't even realize that was supposed to be comedic. They're blasting heroic music, it really twisted the actual tone of the scene.
I think its supposed to be ironic. They're blasting heroic music as she rushes into the battle, gets overexcited, and fails miserably. Worked well for me.

Because VFX Artists are treated terribly at Marvel Studios, we've had reporting on it for quite time now. They're crunched into oblivion, given unfair and unrealistic deadlines, and given awful overseers. The film directors aren't given them the time that they need, because they're so desperate to pump new movies into the Marvel machine every 3-4 months.

@@stormichow5325 That’s supposed to change in Phase 5 because Papa Kevin Feige said that they are going to cut back on Disney + content and start making good, and polished content again and that means that the VFX Artists should have more time to work instead of being rushed out like a new Madden Game
People really be forgetting that these movies are based off comic books so even if the CGI looks wonky its OK But if the movies look too realistic and stiff people will still complain crying about how it doesn't feel like the Marvel world

Cassie Is Grown Up Not Before In First Movie When She Was A Little She Dressed As Fairytale
Just saw the movie.. it was decent. I would rate it 6.5 or 7 out of 10.
I expected them to portray Kang as much more menacing even though the actor is amazing it felt like Kang wasn't at full power or he was still beatable

The movie was amazing but MODOK was way too uncomfortable to look at lol. From the side and top down angles he looked great but front on just didn't seem right. Overall the movie looked stunning in IMAX and definitely will have to watch it again

Calling the CG "PS2 graphics" is a disservice to the artists who try their hardest under grueling schedules. For the sheer amount of digital replacement going on, it looks pretty good. If you saw this as a fan film on RUclips, you'd call it cinema level effects, but when you see it at the cinema, you call it RUclips level effects. The perspective will always shift like that. The problem is simply the amount of CG is something the artists can't keep up with. 95% of this scene is digital and I'm sure the full film will be ~75-80%. Everything has to look photo real, all the movements need to look natural, all the comps need to be seamless and all the lighting needs to match. It's too much for the poor artists to keep up with. 10-20 years ago, most of the CG work was focused on a single big monster or one to two fully digital sets. They could really tune the CG for full accuracy. Now that most of the film rests on the VFX team's shoulders, it lowers the overall quality. Marvel really doesn't like practical sets anymore. Yeah, there's some rubble on the ground but all the walls and ceilings are green screens. If Marvel movies are to look like they did near the beginning, then they need to lessen their reliance on CG. It's a wonderful tool that can really bring life to the final film, but once it becomes the load bearing piller, that's when the real cracks start forming. Kevin Feige has promised "quality over quantity" for future MCU products, so hopefully along with better writing, that also means less digital and more practical
I'm guessing "jump, tap" will have a major part in the resolution of the movie
