Yes, the bagel isn't sweet, but it yields the same body response as sugar because they're both glucose. One savory, one sweet, but the body transforms it into the same thing. I like the video, looking forward to watching as you Find Your Formula! Finding out what works for due to trial and error, and your personal studies. I've been watching for some time and see that whatever you put your mind to, you make it happen. Happy to be on the journey with you!
It is not totally correct as per what Glucose specialists are saying. Sugar doesn’t only contain glucose but also fructose which is the part harmful for us. Our body need glucose to fonction and specially if you are very active like her the glucose she eats will be fully utilised. Even though our body can create glucose by itself, eating some carbs is not a bad thing compared to eating sugary food. Unless you have a glucose metabolism issue like diabetes you can eat a bagel without any problem.
I’ve become obsessed with your videos lately. You’ve helped me get out of a bit of a gym slump & I’ve been consistent for the past few weeks now. Thank you 🫶🏼 Would you also mind sharing the pages on tik tok where you get your meal inspo from?
girl love your lifestyle, I've been wanna go back to boxing but its that i don't have the time haha but please stay being you; you keep on motivating me to be better at taking care of myself and to stay with my routine, which I need to be go back since i haven't but thank you for being so awesome
Love your content Mel! I do Pilates reformer on opposite days from my HEAVY lifting sessions. I also teach yoga so I get that in as well during the week. I will tell you since incorporating reformer in my routine I have been dominating my heavy lift sessions adding more weight each session. It has been the best compliment to lifting and yoga.
Your core is your whole trunk area- the back and the abdominal area. You can have visible abs but does not equate to good core strength. However, if you have a strong core, you usually can see visible abdominal muscles as well. Core strength is important for a Martial Artist like yourself as you have to rely on being able to keep your body stable a lot. However, core strength is also just important for everyday functional movements. It helps with our posture, helps with balance and helps prevent injuries etc. Ask your MMA coach about it, he'll be able to offer a lot of useful exercises I'm sure ;) Good luck on your journey!
If you put a tiny pinch of salt in your tea and coffee it eliminates the bitterness. Also. Have you ever monitored your heart rate. I ask because I have a high resting heart rate (it's a symptom that comes with my Chiari Malformation) but it can sometimes feel like overwhelming anxiety (even panic attacks) but it's technically not (if that makes any sense). Some of us just have a "higher than normal" heart rate (it does not mean your heart is bad or that it will wear out fast or anything like that, I use to freak myself out about it when I was younger 😂). As weird as it sounds, knowing I wasn't just an overly anxious person helped me be less anxious 😂. You pretty much get through the episodes the same as you do an anxiety or panic attack. But for me now when I have them I really focus on slowing my heart rate down, connecting my mind and and my heart. I think of a song that I like with a slower tempo and I feel that in my whole body, I take nice deep breaths and focus on the tempo of the song. Sometimes I'll even put a hand in the area of my heart and tap to the tempo. And before I know it, I get slowed down and regrounded. I'm 35 years old, figuring this out took me a while, but it helped me so much once I did. Sorry for the book. I hope this helps someone.
Okay so, I’m commenting for the first time. I’ve been watching your channel for some months now (binge watched, actually). I don’t remember how I came across your RUclips but I’ve been enjoying it a lot. I’m Ecuadorian (living in Ecuador) and 4’11” so I can relate even tho I’m 40 🙃 As a bodybuilding coach and sports nutritionist I always think that you’re lacking protein and complex carbs, and maybe lower the fats and processed foods a little bit. That being said, I don’t know what your goals are, but you seem to have pretty good genetics. Keep going! Stick to a routine and focus on progressive overload 🫶🏼 and yes, 2 rest days per week seems to be a great formula, and if you want to get some movement on one of those rest days, just go for a walk and/or do some mobility work 👍🏼 Ok this is too long. Love your channel!
