Not entirely correct... it's just what they have so far. All of the content will be slowly released while in early access. By the time the game leaves early access around 2025, "Ark 2" as you put it, will be the final product.

Ark Ascended runs smoother than any other current game you can play.
@@kvnneo What are you smoking? As a streamer who does nothing but plays various games throughout the day, Ark ASA runs the LEAST smooth out of any game I can play. Even Darktide runs better... The only way you can get ASA to run smooth is to disable most of what the game has to offer (volumetric clouds, etc). And before you rant about hardware, I'm pretty sure that I should be able to get above 60 frames with a 4080 without disabling a bunch of graphical settings. At least I can in literally every other game in existence....

You literally need a 4090 if you want a stable game lol. My 3080 often dips into 20-30 fps in this game. Kinda wild they released it in thus state 😂
I think they should scrap Ark 2 and just build off Ark 1. Somewhat like Minecraft but the devs actually take into consideration of everything

It's my favorite game but I am not about to buy it all over again in a pretty new wrapper. It's beautiful but who the hell wants to buy the same game twice?

Lots of people, I’ve bought many great games multiple times, Skyrim, Diablo, Dark Souls and Demons Souls, Minecraft… Buying the same game multiple times is hardly unheard of, it’s pretty common, I mean Minecraft isn’t even an upgrade, I jus have it on multiple platforms and don’t regret the multiple purchases at all.
To be fair its a pretty damn good game
This a total overhaul I'm a ps5 player that's played ark since 2015 yea it's got bugs but what new game doesn't cyberpunk was unplayable on release. I'm so hyped I went out and bought a xbox just so I could play a little bit earlier. True ark fans will love the game even with its bugs. With all the improvements iv seen I will gladly rebuy it thank you wildcard for your hard work.

This is just a remake of the original ark, ark 2 will operate completely differently with a story line and completely different combat mechanics, its still far from finished

For those of us who do got our shit together 40 bucks goes into savings or gets spent on gas just getting to work and we can all agree times are only getting tougher. It’s different for everyone and even I will agree 40 ain’t terrible but I could use that else where in the future and in the real world. Unfortunately wild card has always made the legitimate pvp player’s sacrifice money or time to keep up, and a lot of has can’t waste either like we used to. More power to the people still on that grind but I’m with everyone who’s fed up.

This isn't ARK II. ARK II is a completely different game and story line. ARK: Survival Ascended is basically ARK: Survival Evolved with a major graphics update/revamp.

Thats why they made a rework. They messed up the code on ARK, so they made a better version with (hopefully) better base coding

Coming from an avid ark player since 2015, this is the biggest scam wild card has pulled yet,… I will not be wasting $60 on updated graphics. Assuming they fixed all the exploits (we all know they didn’t) it’s still a blatant money grab. I hope everyone enjoys it and that it isn’t a complete waste of space on your hard drives but I am less than optimistic, see y’all on whatever game comes out that perfects this idea (one that isn’t by studio wild card).

People who've actually played the game know that most of this trailer was a lie. The animals don't behave naturally like they're depicted here. They don't move in herds. The AI is dumb as rocks and they move around with no care in the world. This whole video is a lie
Bro they added new tlc to alot of the creatures and have been wanting to add behaviors such as babies and herds to alot of the creatures.

asking for a refund. playing on an rtx 3080 10 gb, i7 9700k and 32gb ddr4 ram and nvme ssd 1tb... couldnt get anything higher than 30fps unless I crank almost everything to LOW... at which point I got about 60-70fps (decent) on 3440x1440 resolution with DLSS enabled and super resolution at BALANCED... MIND you that is using the r.volumetricfog 0 command an r.volumetricclouds 0 command which makes the game look like ITS NOT UE5 anymore... so yeah... all those new eye candys... someone with an rtx 3080 CANNOT even enjoy at the moment... and THAT is not normal. The game is 0 optimized... it is early access I know... but in its current state... IT IS NOT WORTH 60$ ... more like 20$... and honestly with all those graphics compromise I had to make, Im not enjoying my time in ark ascended AT ALL... my whole reason for revisiting this game ARE the UE5 improvements... but if theyre not PROPERLY optimized... whats the point... Even cyberpunk 2077 which is a POORLY optimized title runs WAY better than this game and I can crank most settings through the roof on cyberpunk including RTX shadows, RTX reflections and raytracing.... plus right now GLOBAL illumination GLITCHES like crazy whenever FIRE is involved... U get WEIRD lighting artifacts from fire sources all over buildings and walls and the jungle... seriously this release is a HUGE MESS right now. Getting a steam refund. AVOID this game like the plague until theyve properly optimized it.
IF they optimize it properly at some point I might consider purchasing it again...
but for now Im going for a refund. this is a LOUSY early access... its not like theyre building from scratch like they were with ASE... theyve got all this experience and $$ we deserve better

This looks so fake compared to what they normally put out.....
Absolutely hilarious game. Is this unreal engine 5? It’s absolutely beyond terrible. The graphics are all over the place. Constant screen tearing, random objects floating in the air (trees, rocks, water, dinosaurs that can’t fly), frame rate absolutely PLUMMETS when anything is happening that isn’t just you walking around, and the sudden crashes are pretty constant.
This needs an almighty patch. As it is just now it’s an absolute joke of a game and I’m fuming with myself for buying it. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this game for at least a year or two. It’s not even close to being finished. Stick with the first one, it’s vastly superior.
I'll pirate the game and play on a private server with friends.
