The music during that final boss fight is incredible.
The little string instrument commanding the fight and the drums matching the boss fights heavy hits is peak design, these people know what they are doing.

theres is a 2 seconds where the music stops before the boss does those continues his on the ground,,, then the beat changes to drums to match the hits,, pretty nice synergy but its a tell that the boss is about to nuke you

Some enemies don't need flinching but the game should really have a hit-stop/delay effect when the attack goes through the flesh to create a satisfying hit respond.
if you look closely, it does have that on more powerful attacks. it doesn't need it with every connect to the enemy, as you are hitting them in a combo like 10 times in 2 seconds. this is not a fromsoft game and it doesn't need to be exactly like that.
Agree with what others have said. Doing this would slow the combat of an otherwise fast paced game.

The music here is really relaxing. It is a folk song in Shaanxi, China. You can understand it as the song of the people in the desert.

Hey bro, the weapon Wukong uses is not a staff, but a weapon called the Ruyi Golden Cudgel, which is described in the novel as having golden hoops at both ends and black iron in the middle.

This game is a fast paced game with more variables than Dark Souls

Because people forget that other games existed … this game is closer to Onimusha than dark souls.

The victorious fighting spirit of the trickster, whose life and desires reveal a heart of gold, and the goddess of wisdom who watches over tumultuous souls whose only ideal is to find his way back home.
Journey to the West isn't mythology. It is fiction.

Been seeing this game around and didn’t really mind it but this gameplay 100% makes me want to play. The enemies actually look pretty beefy and the combat looks fun. Love the sounds of the feet running too 😂
That parry + freeze + ultimate bonk finisher is so sastifying to watch.

@dantedevilhunter enemies do flinch by attacks, you should watch other gameplay. It just that this shows rock and giant enemies.

The soundscape of this game is stunnning. The chanting track that comes in with the bell that echoes after is awesome. Very ominous foreboding sound.
This game will really give me a bunch of scares , enemies popping out of thin air and all 🤭

Definitely a promising souls like game. Sound effects are very satsifying, there are a lot of options for combat and an interesting take in Chinese culture.

The last boss, not only unleashed flashy attacks, but he do AOE mechanics repeatedly, such a rare to see in AAA game that implemented MMO combat system. Impressive !

He's running fast enough, there's just no weight/gravity to his running, like he's running on a inch thick layer of air above the ground.

@@naitorain Yes, we have all noticed, and the main creators have made fun of the problems of foot sliding and mold piercing. They said that there are still a lot of things to do and adapt to various controller models and platforms. Maybe at tga we will see them again this year.

Wish they include an option to remove damage numbers. Interferes with the beautiful presentation of the game.

The game is missing stagger, which is important. Gives those hits more impact. Also the impact sounds themselves are tinny. Needs more low end / impact. Other than that, this is looking really promising.
You can hear the wind blowing but the grass is still.
Those constant "Uhm money baby uhm" are hilarious.
The minions seem kinda damage spongy, I'd rather two enemies with fifty health than one with a hundred, for example. It makes the player character feel kinda weak when you need to smack everything twenty times to kill it.
Lorewise, he can one-shot divines with his staff. The damage output is really weird.

This game is going to be in another level for secrets and secret hidden boss fights. Can see a lot a lot of hours getting put into this game in just exploring alone.

The Kaido boss fight looks amazing

actually it depends on how strong the enemy is, in their very first trailer from 2020, the imobilize skill doesn't work too well on the wolf boss, it breaks through within a second

Sun Wukong is the ultimate warrior, and they show that in this game.

It looks like sekiro and that was a souls game as well but with a twist and fast gameplay mkre akin to bloodborne, movement is everything. You sound like you just entered gaming ,level up my dude

Really hyped for this. Graphics, Combat and bosses look solid. My only few issues, hitting someone feels like hitting a rock, and it looks like alot of running around, if it's linear world, I'd like a more area combat with lower NPCs to get to the next area rather then just running last them

Transformation ability is just amazing...way he Gets transformed...and hits the special abilities of that particular character is amazing ❤
In the novel, Wukong’s changes are called seventy-two changes, which is actually just a general term. Under normal circumstances, Wukong can change into anything, or task animals and people.

Something weird about how the character model moves, almost like they're floating around the environment. The camera needs to be slowed down a little too. Feels to videogame-y. Looks like an incredible start though, just needs refinement.

The music is amazing and very beautiful visually but the combat seems tanky
The sound on the footprinst must be improved by adding more differents sounds cause it repeats on a loop with not much different variations of the sound
That running speed is so wierd. Animation is fast but you actually don't cover much distance.
Combat looks pretty clean, but game feels a little empty. Im curious if that's just initial looks that will change as the game preps for launch. Attacks also look like they dont have a lot of weight behind them, which is interesting
