Holy cow, not only is it a "Jurassic Park" game instead of "Jurassic World" to change it up, but it's a an official survival horror game we've been wanting for years? 🤯

This actually looks genuinely great. Almost like a modern version of JP Trespasser mixed with ideas from the Telltale game all combined with the basic formula of Alien: Isolation. Isn't it amazing what happens when you actually listen to your fandom community and actually give them something they've been asking for?
lets pray thats what they are actually making. if this plays something like Alien Isolation, with the dyanmic hunting ai for the dinosaurs... it will be incredible.
I love how it's a Dilophosaurus being the main threat in the trailer since it far to often Raptors. Also I find it funny she's scared of the Dilophosaurus but seems unafraid of the T-Rex. Still Great Job and I can't wait to play it! :)

I can't believe they're making an actual Jurassic Park survival horror game! This looks incredible, the attention to level of detail e.g the Ford Explorer, the Jeep Wrangler, the Dinosaurs. I like the idea of exploring how other characters are fighting for survival during the events of Jurassic Park.
Hopefully this game doesn't disappoint.
The funny thing is that the movie is so engrossing, you don't even think about all the scientists we saw during the tour, and what they did after the power went out. We assume they either died or escaped, so really clever for them to explore that.

@@BudderCraft526 That's why I said it's assumed they either died or escaped (on the boat). They never directly said what happened to all the workers on the island. It allows freedom for storytelling.

It's incredible how Jurassic Park has a different sense of tension than Jurassic World
Yeah, JW did a ton of mistakes in terms of story telling & visual design - it’s like they actively ignored the things that made Jurassic Park brilliant and only tried to sell spectacle.
They failed to understand that at his core jurassic is a horror movie
The only tense scene in the history of the Jurassic World trilogy was ruined by Chris Prat choking the dilophosaurus. How dare they? 😪🤦♂️
Because Jurassic Park is great, and Jurassic World objectively sucks
The turn from Terrifying Monster That Will Eat You to These Are Still Animals Actually was of course necessary - predators get a bad rap just for acting as nature intended - buuuut,,, it's difficult to sell that AND horror at the same time. Not that horror hasn't done pity for the monster before - hello Jason - but the JW didn't quite nail that. Maybe the Indo series was meant to balance it out... it didn't.
I can enjoy the movies for sure, but the themes would have required some more tweaking.
I am always amazed by Dinosaur games. Especially when T-Rex shows up. I remember when I was a kid playing Dino Crisis. Man, my heart!

This trailer reminded me of Alien Isoliation. Not necessarily from his gameplay, even though it does seems to be a first person survival horror game, but from the fact the plot came from a very simple but effective idea. And also by the fact it looks like the game is made by real fans of the franchise, just like Isolation was.
Agreed. But the terror in Alien Isolation was insane. I had to pause that game so many times or hide in the locker for 30 minutes😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Hope there is character options to play. I like how the answer of diversity is to flip the genders. By now every game should just allow you to make a custom character so it feel like you are actually in the game.

The continuity details shown are amazing!! The vehicle left at the helipad; the kids' vehicle overturned at the bottom of the tree, missing the tire that Rexy chewed off; the driver door of Grant's vehicle still open; the fallen skeletons in the visitor center entrance; the messy kitchen and the ladle. Fantastic stuff!!
Now the only question is, how did the pin come out of the refrigerator door?!

My guess is that playing in the kitchen, we will try to open the fridge to hide from the dilo, but we will have to flee instead without knowing what's inside( leaving it open). - so same idea as mxviii 👍

this game better not be short! if you guys know what i mean, the title itself makes this whole game sound like a mini game than something along the lines of a 11 hour alien isolation game, survival sounds way too basic! the footage shown sounds like it's going to be heavily realistic and immersive, but if this is an open world survival game where we can explore the island then that would be a dream come through rather than tan an episodic game where you have to take certain paths.

For the younger ones here: A lot of people have been wanting a survival game like this in the Jurassic Park universe since Trespasser (1998) failed. Hopefully this one will be good!!!

The level of behavior the dinosaurs had with the player, and with each other, and with the environment was spectacular. So many good memories of nail-biting jump scare moments all organically happening. :)

Which is why these game NOTORIOUSLY don’t sell well whereas cod, fallout, resident evil, sell out every year. Like a said, swing and a miss. we STILL aren’t getting a proper survival horror game from Jp. The closest would be Dino crisis and this is NO WHERE NEAR THAT. This feels like a perfect 90s horror sequel. Insert that a character was around during the first one just off screen and now we're seeing their story. Feels like something we would've seen back in the day. Love it

I hope different species appear, I don't want just the dinosaurs we saw in the first 1993 film to appear.
As many may know, there were other species on the island, Metriacanthosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Segisaurus, and possibly Baryonix.
But they could also include Compsognathus in the game, they even appeared in Jurassic Park The Game.
Plus compys were in the book, but they were Procomposagnathus

I am incredibly hyped for this game but what I really wanna know is how the one raptor got out of the freezer, cause that freezer was locked by lex, like with a key if I remember correctly, and the only things that could unlock it is a person, and I don't think the protagonist would have opened it cause the raptor would have attacked her before she could run away due to her being close, so how'd it get out? Did someone else open the door? I am very excited to find out

Tears of joy for this game! Finally, a survival horror game for Jurassic Park. Just being able to revisit iconic locations from the first film is a dream come true. Alan Grants lost hat better be wearable.

@@LiLgPnoy15 i get the feeling that jurassic world was aimed at a younger audience. There was a lot of visual spectacle and some new characters felt more like cartoon characters.
From what i heard the jurassic park books are even more explicit in the horror but i respect their decission to tune it down in order to make the movie accesible for a wider audience.

The Lost World Jurassic Park Survival, you play as one of the mercenaries left behind. You need to survive until the boat brings the Buck Tyrannosaur back to Sorna and you can escape on the boat.
Sorna Survivor. You play as Eric Kirby during his 8 weeks alone.
Jurassic World Survival. You play as one of the guests stranded in the north of the park as the Indominus is rampaging.
YES Jurassic Park fans have been hungering for a game like this. Hyped to see more from it.

Good as that trailer might've been, it's absolutely no indication whatsoever of the final product's quality, and in no way represents the "promise" of this title.

this is what i wanted all along! I really hope it will not follow a pre set path but surprise you every time you start a game. This would be the best thing ever. Get dropped somewhere, orient yourself, find the docks. And dinos are always on different locations.

I'm really glad to see that the Jurassic franchise is bringing back more ideas. Just by observing this preview, a game following the events of the film, Jurassic Park. Yes, there were others that followed the film, but this one is just downright amazing.

i love the simple concept, and it connects directly to the original. no need to stray so far incredible from the source material. Just gonna be a good, simple, dinosaur game in our favorite dinosaur universe. Yes.

Btw you can also say the dinosaurs are transgender, they were only supposed to be females but some turned male, life found a way 😂
I hope this will be like classic-style Survival Horror like Resident Evil, Alien Isolation, and AmnesianThe Bunker, where you have weapons and items to fight back and defend yourself but resources are scarce and management and management of them is necessary plus certain enemies like T.Rex are unkillable.
With that said this looks great and shows a lot of promise.

Alien Isolation but with dinosaurs is the easiest way to make this a slam dunk. the formula is already there for them, here's hoping they nail it.

For those who don’t know, the cold storage room is featured at the end because in the book Tim Murphy traps one of the velociraptors inside while trying to save Lex Murphy who is hiding nearby. I highly suggest reading the book before playing the game!

The makers of Jurassic World must take note from this game. This is what a true Jurassic movie should look and feel like. We need adrenaline pumping survivor movies not highfiveing dinosaur movies.

@@Dachin55555but we have. We saw the trailer. And we can infer alot from what they focused on. They're signaling that this will be fan service, which is good nowadays. They hit iconic points and they showed us things that hint we will get things we want. Yes they may under deliver, but the mere signaling shows that they aren't utterly disconnected from their target audience, and that is promising

Always loved Jurassic park as a kid and read the books last year so I’ve found a new love for it. It’s taken a long time to get something like this but I’m so hyped.
I would love it if they made a Jurassic park tv show. Perhaps day in the life of the workers before the events of JP, and then eventually leading up to the events. Maybe a few workers get left behind and stuck there, and it shows what they have to do to survive.
1:53 was the moment me and my brother lost our minds. We've always dreamt of an Alien Isolation-esque dinosaur survival game, and for it to be Jurassic Park is absolutely perfect. Hope this game meets our expectations

It won’t be if we don’t get some guns. Not a whole lot, just the ones we know that are in the film. ( M16/AR-15s, MotherFing SPAS-12, M1911 etc)

@@titan_tanker The most hated of survival horror games. I pray it isn’t, because I just don’t think that is a fair thing to do to players. Now there are plenty of games that have done it well, but being that this is a game set in a franchise where guns are indeed on the island it would not make sense for the player not to be able to find one.
If the devs do it right and make stuff like ammo scarce that is fine, it makes every bullet you have matter and any miss can mean you’re screwed in multiple ways.
That to me is survival horror as it gives you a fighting chance, sure, not much of a chance to go DOOM GUY on a T-Rex but against the smaller stuff like the Raptors and other dangerous dinosaurs it would give us the chance to defend ourselves instead of just running away in search of a hiding place.
That to me doesn’t look right for being called a survival horror game, instead it’s just a run and hide, hope you don’t get found, and if you do you go back to a save point after being killed.

This is a miracle; sometimes, companies make things right (RE2-3-4 remake,Mafia remake and now this)
I also really hope that this game does well enough that they make a sequel set on Isla Sorna. The Lost World: Survival, if you will. It could be like a improved remake of Trespasser, but be set after JP III, so we get that film's locations and dinosaurs in addition to TLW's. Just imagine having the Buck and Doe T.rex couple and the Spinosaurus in the same game, as the apex predators of their own halves of the island. But more than anything, imagine having to go into the long grass from TLW. In first person. Or going into the JP III Aviary. Thought the Pteranodon all flew away at the end? Think again...
No matter what, I'm definitely supporting this product to show Universal that we want more from the Jurassic license than just park builders!
Alien isolation was similar in terms of a game fans of the IP have wanted for years, never got a sequel though. Do these types of games sell poorly or are they too niche or something. Just like the park itself, it seems to good to be true but there's also alot that could wrong. Either way I am excited for this, been wanting it since the ps1 days.
Well an actually good park builder would be something I’d like to see being sold, too.

@@Tpdude046same. Jurassic franchise doesn't have a lot of games. Recently there were only JWE 1 and 2. Having a survival horror makes so much sense for this franchise.

This is an incredibly cool concept (and the gameplay footage at the end looks great) but it's also weird that she re-enacted like 3/4 of the iconic moments from the original film in a single cutscene/trailer

That's my concern. The actual dinosaur encounters seem very scripted. I was hoping for more Far Cry, open world, but this looks like an amusement park experience on rails with nostalgia -bait.

The snippet of in-game footage looks good, but wow, the pre-rendered stuff is some of the most densely-packed fan-service I've ever seen.
