The Home Depot corporate office made the store get rid of Leo . One of the employees adopted him . Corporate was receiving some calls from upset customers about the the removal of their store cat.

If I was in the country - the specific shop where he worked - I'd like to give him opportunities to rest and eat and drink in complete privacy and silence, and to be able to exercise outside safely if and when he chooses.
At least he'll be able to interact with people at his leisure and be safe from being inadvertently run over or getting crushed by heavy apparatus.
Along with trolley wheels, heavy items in the shop are possibly the biggest hazard to him.
His collar with particulars is enough to find him as far as I'm concerned, but theft... maybe it would just be someone "experimenting" (as younger people tend to do from time to time), to "have" something special.
I wouldn't worry about anything legitimately untoward, because it doesn't do anyone any good.
