Hansgrohe is owned by delta believe it or not that valve is a rebranded delta 17T series
This was the key bit of information that unlocked success for me. I have a Hansgrohe Thermobalance 2 shower valve. These are no longer available in 2024 (the control handles). However I was able to order a Delta 17T shower handle valve with temperature adjustment via Amazon and it worked perfectly with my Thermobalance 2 Hansgrohe valve. Wife is very happy and new shower handle has a much better temp adjustment handle control vs my old Hansgrohe contraption. I thought I was going to have to change the valve (not so simple) but instead the Delta 17T handle set and trim worked perfectly keeping my Hansgrohe valve in place.
Oh wow! Thanks for this info!! I have this exact model of handle and the cross knob sheared itself apart because of our super hard water :( I've been searching for a replacement with no luck. Now I will go try and find a Delta 17T handle replacement, but these things aren't cheep holy crap!

let me add that it fits, but doesn't align the handle perfectly at the 6 o'clock position to turn off.

Ours was different - did not have the clip - it had a grey/white plastic dial that you pulled out and adjusted. Same concept, different execution - thank you for this video saved me a call to a plumber.

What would cause a faucet that was previously producing hot water to only producing lukewarm water (prior to adjustment)?
Hi, any instructional video's on how to remove the shroud so I can get to the hot and cold water service stops? Like others below, I was able to turn the hot-water adjustment to full, still not hot like in the past. Sinks in the same bathroom are scalding hot.
my faceplate was basically a friction fit with silicone to seal it. I cut the silicone with a utility blade and then CAREFULLY pulled of the back plate
Thank you for nice and easy video. I followed your instruction and it improved little but the water is not hot enough. I rotate the clip all the way and it doesn't rotate any more..can you help on this?
Have you checked the temperature setting on the hot water heater to make sure it is turned up to the desired temperature?

Is there any way this same adjustment setting could cause you from being able to get cool enough water? It seems ours is hot or hotter. I actually resorted to turning our water heater temp down to shower comfortably.
I don't think it should affect the cold portion since I believe you are expanding the hot range by moving the collar around and it shouldn't change the cold portion of the dial
Who is it that mine is either hot or cold ?
