Yeah I'm curious to see what all they'll do together, if anything. I'm perfectly fine with them not doing anything together as well though if that's what they want. Right now I'm sure it's hard to do anything together really since there's such a massive difference in timezones.
Dan build a house and Kayla build a house then compare them afterwards to see how many similarities and differences.

Yeah I think that's the issue honestly.. she brings attention to it in every episode. We all know what it is there's really no need to explain it.. if someone doesn't understand why it's there, they should go learn a thing or two.. I saw it originally, was like "oh it's her name. Moving on." now I only see it when she mentions it. I've played MANY beta tests for games so I'm completely used to watermarks.

The only people who have a right to know her flight times and stuff are her boyfriend and his family, because they’ll be housing her and need to know when, the airport staff (obviously she’s buying their ticket through them), and her family if she chooses to share- she doesn’t even owe them that!!
If she did a fan meet up to meet people it would be different. I remember seeing that video of Justin Beaver and talking to girls who were waiting outside his house and my heart just broke.
Though they have an untouchable sort of vibe. And Kayla is so real and relatable to a lot of people that they forget she’s not a homie, we know her but she doesn’t know us!

I can't wait to have a little starter cottage like the one she has in her playthrough then expand it as my family gets bigger.. eventually having a cottage mansion.. It'll be a true British inspired playthrough that way. That's quite literally how their housing goes.

@@juraflacamisao8741 She already mentioned that before. Once the pack comes out she should be able to swap the saves over to the 'real' game and then upload everything she's made. If not, she can always recreate it and upload it.

2 weeks ago my computer was at the black screen of death and i lost all of my sims saves 😭 but luckily i still had my packs. so i have been computerless and cottage living coming out just makes me so sad that i can’t play and i literally have a google doc of builds that i wanna build and a note of what i wanna do but luckily i am getting a computer soon!! 😄😃😊

I like how when kayak is in game she loves the Sims but when she’s building she hates it lmao
You have to do a lot of things yourself gameplay wise to really enjoy it.. and usually that means adding in your own chaos. Build mode though is absolutely amazing.. I just wish gameplay had more personality to it like the previous games. Like if you look at her legacy challenge she purposefully has things like the fire toilet, cow plant, pirahna pool, etc purely to add a bit of chaos to everything. If you don't add your own chaos, Sims 4 very quickly becomes a "perfect life simulator" and it gets boring because of it.

On the topic of want what you can't have: The reality of living in an old house is that rooms tend to be small unless you're talking about an actual mansion. And even old Victorian mansions have weird layouts with sometimes small rooms!

Chances are there were two gabled roofs. I live in Ireland in an 1700s cottage. Sometime in the 70s or 80s they built on to the cottage back of it as. When it was originally built it was a single room for the whole house which was the norm. We have two gabled roofs now :)
How does that work with the rain?

@@amylouisexo haha sorry I’m scottish so like a lot of rain. They’re gabled to let the rain drain off more easily. Does it like gather in the valley where the two roofs meet?

from end of 2018 to august 2020 i really got into building in the sims 4 and i must admit i was quite good but i took a break and it’s been about 10months and it’s really hard to get used to it again (i forget where items are, i’m slower, etc) anyway i just decided to have a little rant bc my builds haven’t been great as they were back then lol

my great grandpa's house was built in 1808 and the roof was torn off in the 80's and that is the only time it was updated, he died and january and my dad and grandpa are trying to fix it so my grandpa can move, it's an old farm house but i love it
im also in a us/uk long distance relationship and its been so hard with the pandemic! thankfully, i was able to submit my visa so i can move to the uk later this year to be with my boyfriend. ready to live my cottage living fantasy!

As a fellow Floridian, charm is reaaaaallly dependent on location. There are some gorgeous early-20th century buildings and architecture in Tampa, cool Spanish style in St. Augustine and some other coastal towns, and some Victorian stuff in the north of the state, but the new stuff is mostly "we're playing it too safe to go full Mediterranean so have a boring stucco-and-hipped-roof thing, choose beige, pale blue, or green 😊." And it's booooring!

I love this build such cozy cottage vibes, and I do think the floor plan is realistic as well, those floral chairs are everything too, it definitely feels like an older house, charming, one of my favorite builds you've made, and no one needs to know exactly where you are I am glad you are being careful what you share and staying safe

Yeah before my grandma’s house flooded in 2016 there was a room in between the kitchen and the “living room” (I use quotations because we used the living as a den and the den as a living room). That room was used as the computer room. It was walled off with 2 doors leading from the kitchen into the room (the room is like at the back right of the house so it’s like a corner room) and to the right you’d see double doors with windows on themthat lead into the den. Now since the renovations it’s now an open space connecting with the kitchen with a dining table and chairs. This is all on the downstairs by the way. The house is a 2 story with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one of which is in the master bedroom. My grandma’s house was built in the 60’ and fun fact it was the first house built on the street. Back then there wasn’t a neighborhood behind the house it was all woods and we have a picture of the woods behind the house too :). 13:40

I grew up in an older house with moderate charm and I was desperate for more.
I currently own a small house from about 1920. Some quirky built ins, exposed brick in the basement, etc.
Now I’ve evolved to wanting a straight up 1800s masterpiece. The love of old houses just gets bigger over time lol
Oh yeah, as someone who lives in the Tampa Bay area it's so uncommon to find a place that was built before the 1980s lol. They're there, but it's such a rare sighting unless you're in specific places or historic districts. It's actually kind of weird, originally coming from the northeast.
