Sort via 3 Methods to start. 1. Keep 2. Donate 3. Trash Once you have these 3 you can then break each item down into a seperate category. 1. Kitchen 2. Bedroom 3. Living room 4. Bathroom 5. Closet Organizing by where it goes in your house. And seasonal decor seperated into each its own container. I suggest seasonal decor keep for instance: 1.Chrismas in Red plastic bin 2. Thanksgiving in Green bin 3. Spring in Blue bin Clothes: Separate via laundry baskets or bags. If you can color code. Clean: White Dirty: Clear - See it & Do It Use black bags for garbage. Use cardboard boxes for donations.
a suggestion for people who don't have a washer in their apartments. a portable washer that can hook up to a sink. they are a couple hundred dollars. and with just a few washes it would pay for itself. You can get a drying rack or rig up a clothes line, it would save time and money.

Sorting through personal belongings of lost loved ones is so very hard because everything holds a memory of them. It took me years to go through my mum and dads things when I lost them. Only after those years was I ready to look objectively and actually part with things. My condolences to the young lady it must have been terribly hard on her. You did amazing Barbie with this room.
The best mental health recovery is to take out & garbage the hoard & learn to get the hoarder to a psychiatrist for hoarders or a mental health rehab & not wait.
I think part of the problem is a feeling of guilt--like you're not showing respect because you're getting rid of so many of the family member's possessions--that you're erasing them, but you're not. You still have the memories. (My father had us sort through my mother's clothes because it was too painful for him. I think he felt guilty about it.) I've been watching "Swedish Death Cleaning" videos on RUclips that show you how to sort through things while you're alive so your heirs don't have to. My problem is my husband because he likes to keep things. He's not a hoarder, but I'd say there's a little bit of a tendency of being one. I like getting rid of stuff. He doesn't because he thinks he might need it sometime in the distant future.
Personally I think this is one of your hardest jobs even though it's one room it seemed like in this when you have to gather yourself a lot to think but you're doing the awesome job as always

Hey, you rock those pink gloves! I don't think you're copying anyone. 🙂 Also pink looks great on you. Anyway, do the negative commenters realize how hard it is sometimes to find gloves to fit smaller hands that AREN'T pink? I don't love pink for myself, but often the only size work or gardening gloves that fit my small hands are pink (or pastel purple). It's a bit silly but oh well! Bright-colored gloves also help the quality of these videos because they help the eye focus on the cleaner's flying hands. The messy rooms are visually confusing sometimes and that bright focus point is great for the viewer.

I feel sorry for this landlord whose house is being destroyed by the filth. I had to empty out a hoarder house years ago after the tenant had been evicted and the amount of clothing is what amazed me the most. We took at least 50 garbage bags full of clothes out of that house and when we thought we were finished, we opened the attic and it was all dirty clothes floor to ceiling, and we probably took out more than 100 garbage bags of clothes just from the attic. It was amazing that the ceiling didn't collapse just under the weight of all of those clothes. You certainly have more patience than I do testing out pens to see if they still work or not.
She will go thru it eventually she just cant do it now, she needs to hang on to stuff to feel the love, it will slowly change, thank you for understanding her needs

You probably know this but if you have time a way to freshen a mattress is to take your sweeper attachment and sweep it then use fabric freshener on it. You could use a carpet fresherner powder but it's harder to sweep back up but it would help clean it.

И смотрю среди мусора например , упаковки от стирального порошка валяется, это что ,порошок закончился в ванной, а пустую коробку она принесла в спальную бросила на кровать ? Хотя может это болезнь у людей такая и они специально захламляются мусором, как те, которые причиняют себе боль и все такое...ну в любом случае ужас конечно

@@Юлия-ц4н8ч ложки старинные серебро или посеребренные или же мельхиор отлично чистятся пастой Гойя или содой мои специальным средством для металла- ну и есть способ положить ложку в емкость с фольгой и они как то самоочищаются- да реально стоит поискать варианты(((

Anyway, do the negative commenters realize how hard it is sometimes to find gloves to fit smaller hands that AREN'T pink? I don't love pink for myself, but often the only size work or gardening gloves that fit my small hands are pink (or pastel purple). It's a bit silly but oh well!
Bright-colored gloves also help the quality of these videos because they help the eye focus on the cleaner's flying hands. The messy rooms are visually confusing sometimes and that bright focus point is great for the viewer.

I totally agree with you wearing a mask, the mixture of rotten food and cat mess can have all kinds of germs! You need to protect yourself and not bring anything home to your family that may make someone sick.

I feel sorry for this landlord whose house is being destroyed by the filth. I had to empty out a hoarder house years ago after the tenant had been evicted and the amount of clothing is what amazed me the most. We took at least 50 garbage bags full of clothes out of that house and when we thought we were finished, we opened the attic and it was all dirty clothes floor to ceiling, and we probably took out more than 100 garbage bags of clothes just from the attic. It was amazing that the ceiling didn't collapse just under the weight of all of those clothes. You certainly have more patience than I do testing out pens to see if they still work or not.
I'm using my little step machine while listening to the music; I'm not going anywhere but I'm getting my steps in! Ha! Great job you're doing!

You probably know this but if you have time a way to freshen a mattress is to take your sweeper attachment and sweep it then use fabric freshener on it. You could use a carpet fresherner powder but it's harder to sweep back up but it would help clean it.
this would work on couches or other upholstery furniture. your doing great!
