I always tried to convince my friends in school that knees and elbows mattered. One of them was too stubborn to believe me because his brother took boxing lessons and taught him some stuff. We later got jumped by some bullies... And we both got absolutely fucking thrashed. But I landed more hits than he did, and I'll take it
Muaythai is a sport version of Muaythai Boran which is a martial art used in ancient war. Muaythai Boran has 4 distinct style and no rule at all so grappling and locking is also included
Im thinking about starting Muay Thai but i have titanium rods in my forearm arm from a severe arm break i got a couple years back basically i broke my entire forarm in half into the shape of the letter "r" and my bone shot right through my tendons and out the side of my arm and it required surgery for fixing and the titanium rods are set to stay in my arm forever and it hasn't got the full range of motion or power it use to have and I'm nervous about embarrassing myself especially with being a pack a day smoker and being 50 lbs overweight i know im probably gonna be gassing out on the little things and I'm not gonna be able to do very many pushups right off the bat i feel like i can get my arm use to it but im not quite sure about that yet ... I've been working out trying to get in better shape and ive also been trying to eat healthier as well i know for certain i wanna go I'm just nervous to be quiet honest
Hey Bud, I have a rod in my Tibula and it did hurt at first to kick with my shin but I think i've conditioned myself now after 1 year of training. For you there are other weapons you can use if your arm is not functioning etc. Find a good mauy thai gym and start TODAY, dont quit and study videos after class while you eat etc. I sauna and shower after training as well as the Rec Center is close to my Mauy thai gym. My cardio is still bad cause I blaze a lot, but it got better so don't let that hold you back, be consistant and you will see improvement. Being Nervous is ok, in no time you will be the regular that will be helping the new people. Eat clean, Train and you will get in best shape of your life there isnt really any other option. GL
@ChefNutter thank you for the kind words of encouragement it means alot to me im hoping to start as soon as i gather the money for it like they say the hardest step is always the first step and i think im ready to throw myself to the sharks and just live life the way i wanna live rather than keep being so lazy and anxious i appreciate your comment alot so thank you once more 🤙🏻
Would you consider doing a video about overcoming bad training days/slumps where you’re not having fun? Nothing particular in mind but I’m sure you have thoughts on the topic in general
Muay Thai had various origination, it might trace roots to the Tai kradai or Mons or Burmese from the Western corridor of modern Thailand. Wraping hand with rope was origniate from the Burmese style. Before that it was a bare knuckle fight.
Pretty sure you got that history about Khmer empire from wikipedia? Wikipedia is editable by anyone, and Cambodia was trying to claim Muay Thai since their SEA Games last year 😅
I think that the Wai Khru in Muay Thai, aside from being a cultural tradition, also incorporates elements of warming up. In ancient times, there was no knowledge of sports science, so it can be seen as a hidden form of warm-up.
My 13 years old is training with me, classes are not violent as you are learning the techniques. As your level goes up you can start sparring, yet again it's light sparring and build up from there.
You're probably ganna start with people of all ages they are also new. Eventually when you spar it's just sparring your partner isn't ganna kill you also don't think you'll get partnered up with someone 4 times your weight or size.
I'm 15 years old @ 140 pounds, your classes will range from 14-45 and will have finance guys to young amateur fighters in their 20s. The hardest part of Muay Thai is starting it, after 2-4 classes you'll feel like you can win against anyone.
I started my journey today, jumping in with zero combat sport experience but im excited as hell
Keep us posted thinking about starting in the next couple months
How's it going now? I am starting my journey too and I need reliable information to study lol.
You've stopped haven't you?

Found a solid gym and instructor. Dood is the real deal!
We’ll see how it goes been wanting this for years! 🔥🔥
First class was today. It was awesome!

Great video. Great sign-off. That's a like, and an exploration of your channel.
Awesome video. And sick cameras in the back!

Thanks in advance

Tell her martial arts aren’t about violence but a journey of self discovery. You learn respect, perseverance, and discipline.
