What kind of midi usb cable do you use? Is it with a type b connector in both ends? Is it possible to control pitch from any keyboard with a midi usb out?
When I get to the "press the blinking 1 part" I instantly get an error flashing on the peak indicator. I've tried this on a PC using windows 7 and a laptop using windows 10, no luck on either. I've also tried different USB cables, using different USB ports. Nothing. Ideas?
Could you explain how I connect the vt3 to system1 to be able to use the vocoder with the keyboard please? Is it connected via USB? Do you need another type of cable with 2 small ports maybe? Thanks / greetings from Chile
Looks useful, I have one of these units. I need that Gate and the mic Low Pass and the 3 extra memories, I really would like a compressor, just a simple one. I'm using mine for live applications. I'm concerned with the "radio" setting, it just sounds awful not like AM radio at all, I was hoping this was going to get fixed. Mine was new 20th Sept18 and I downloaded the update pack from Roland, I did the "check installed firmware" and yee ha! it's already v1.10. I've checked the new functions from this vid, great, they work. anyway... what is demo mode for?
Hello there, how do I connect the VT3 with the ROLAND AIRA SYSTEM 1 ? And how I still take the output to the computer, so the computer detects all that as a single microphone, in other words How tos et up ROLAND AIRA SYSTEM 1 with VT3 so I can speak with the microphone with daft punk voice everytime i touch the keyboard. ?= Thanks

Get a Hobbytronics usb to midi-host (DIY & prebuilt possible). Or even better, get a few! I've one and constantly use it, for a LPK25 or lpd8, as extra midi-out for my mono-synth that has both DIN-midi & USB-midi and so on.
Where do I buy a 5 pin DIN MIDI to B plug USB cable or dual B plug USB cable to control the VT-3's pitch via USB MIDI? I have searched Google and eBay with no success.

Trey Schibli You need to choose the right output in your music program (cubase, logic, live,etc) So the idea is that with the keyboard mpk49 you are able to control the vocoder in the the vt3, is that what you want? Thanks
All editing via usb / midi is done through your Midi clip section in Ableton. Click on little e button to expand your clip selections. You will see a drop down of cc #'s you will be creating your envelopes though the Midi clip area not above on the channels.
guys i have another problem with my VT3, my microphone work's all fine through the VT3 but somehow my voice changer doesnt work anymore, i can do the things this video provided. with that slightly voice diffrence but i cant turn it to robot, i cant turn it to megaphone or anything... can anybody help me what's going on?

Does the firmware update allow the inputting of polyphonic MIDI while in vocoder mode or is it simply monophonic notes?

Having an issue when using VT-3 in OBS to stream on youtube with Mac OS. I hear half effects voice and half non-effects voice on the video afterwards.
you most probably plugged into bypass&mono, whereas mono has the effect while bypass (as the name states) has no effect applied to it.
to clarify....once the firmware has been updated, use a two-end B usb cable to connect the B usbs of your controller to the VT3

if you have it usb to the computer you dont need any midi cable, the midi goes through the usb :-)

Did you accidentally leave the mixfader on dry, maby?
