Ok I admit you disappointed me by not sitting backwards on the hood of the Honda and giving it a go, but you more than made up for it by chancing a swim. Thanks for the laugh! Great vid.
2 cilinder engine. It is so powerful for a little garden tractor. I also have the same tractor as this guy and it pulls everything you want. It doesn't use any belts it just goes
Have you seen on RUclips the story about a guy who got letters from the state regarding a dam on his property? A couple of beavers made the dam and the guy's response is hilarious.
We have a 3813. Never done anything besides oil change. Honda made too good of an entry level mower. Couldn't compete with box stores. But the Honda's are still around!!
Even pulling a trailer much lighter than that stay away from inclines. The trailer will push you down the hill and you cannot stop. Don't ask me how I know.
A valiant effort with the lawn tractor indeed, sir. I love the fact that you have safety chains attached to the lawn tractor as though that trailer may come loose as your driving and go sailing off. :-) Thanks for sharing, Andrew!
The Honda HT3813 uses an inline 2 cilinder engine just like a car. It has a beefy clutch just like a car with and it is shaft drive. The axles from the wheels are pretty big. It was made from 1985 to 1989. They used proper materials for this tractor. I also have this same one and it is really powerful with counter-weights and some mud tires.
Instead of throwing away those other tires for the skid steer... You should fill them with foam.. It's relatively cheep. That's what we do on all our SkyTrak forklifts on big construction sites... They love picking up nails.. so the foam work wonders.
That beaver is already building the dam across the lawn. Won’t be long after the thaw and that part will be built up 12” or more. Water with beavers in it will get your dog sick too. Look up giardia to see what it is.
i had my tractor tires filled with rubber foam all 4 tires on my massey. big tall back tires cost about $3-$400 each and front $150 each. never had a flat tire since spending the $1200 on them. still going strong 6 years later.
FYI - when you are hooking up the safety chains on trailer hitches, iit's a good idea to cross them under the hitch before you hook them up. That way if for some reason the hitch disconnects from the ball while you are driving, it will fall on the crossed chains and not dig into the ground/pavement/road.
Coulda had an MTD 998 for the cost of one of them honestly i hve 4 998s and 3 996s they one of either would make a joke out of that i bet but then again thats about half their size impressive overall in the future though if i where you id get a 996 or 998 as they are better for pulling and heavier built
Your comparing an MTD tractor to a Honda? The Honda has an actual frame with a shaft driven transaxle, and liquid cooling. A MTD is just sheet metal screwed together with sheet metal screws. Belt driven CVT transaxle, with a cheap air cooled motor. There's really no comparison between those two mowers. I was doing mower repair for a couple years before doing excavation. I still have one MTD around because it was fast in reverse and did a good job cleaning up leaves.
@@mikefinto4048 It obviously can hold it... By your definition, the axle would have broken. So since it didn't break, that means it could hold it... (that trailer could haul twice that weight, in the yard... going down the highway is a different story)

Yeah I was kind of hoping to see that to.
I was thinking the same thing. A little more counterweight on the hood and the Honda would have pulled it fine.
Light Ning Exactly what I was thinking
I’m sure he would’ve done that but the Honda has a safety sensor in the seat. Maybe he should’ve had Levi sit in the seat while he rode on the hood.
You have to have weight on the seat
If that lawn mower had some weight in the front I believe it would have pulled that trailer with no sweat!
00UncommonSense00 probably but trying to stop with it would’ve been fun to see.
It would have stopped EASY

He got a dam permit from the dam government dept.

The neighbors will evict the beaver when they get tired of the pond expanding over their lawns.
The likelihood that he actually got the required permits are unlikely
I love how you had the safety chains hooked to the lawn mower LMAO
Lol as if that lawn mower would be able to hold that trailer fully loaded anyways, if it were to get away.
Also wear shoes in the house! SAFETY FIRST!!
"I think this is gonna be too much weight for the lawnmower". Cut to trailer tire screaming for mercy.
Im amazed with what the rideon actually did. It could pull it (even with damaged trailer wheel) It just couldnt counter balance the weight.
I own one it's a tank has a 2 cylinder liquid cooled motor and is shaft drive
