I did this with my older lawn tractor too. There are some obvious weak points where the frame and transaxle bolt together that must be addressed for the longevity of the transaxle by welding in reinforcement. I also added a front receiver hitch so I can push my trailers in exactly where I want them without the need to look over my shoulder. Again, reinforcement is key if you want the tractor to last.

I am thinking about a front ball as well. The back works great, but a little hard to place exactly where I want with some near by trees that I have.

I have some similar areas in my yard, I have found that you'll want something with more than 20 HP for both the power and the weight. I can manage the inclines with some momentum, but not at a dead start.
The two tractors I use are an old Craftsman YT3000 and a newer Craftsman T240. The Cub Cadet XT2's are made in the same factory.

Thanks for the call out. Although I do know the difference, I sometimes unintentionally say the wrong thing and miss it during editing.

I make these videos to help people and share ideas, even if they are not new. Yes, I agree, there is nothing new here. But there are folks that may not have your level of experience that may benefit from this.
If you don’t like the video, no one is forcing you to watch it, just move on.

@@tommysgreatoutdoors Thanks Tommy for this idea, it is the first type of tow system I came across with this particular feature placed at half height.., the others have the ball for towing placed too high for my needs in my farm! good idea! I will make it happen in my farm with my MTD tractor !
