    Four years after this video, Gaudin won the gold medal in both men's foil and epee at the 1928 Olympics.
    In 1924, the same year as this video, Ducret won gold in foil and silver in epee and sabre at the 1924 Olympics.

    Fascinating to see! It was such a different sport back then. Sabre engagements were so much longer and with an extraordinary amount of incidental contact. I'm curious when then would consider calling a stop to the bout. Were they looking to score a clearly good hit?
    Also it seems like epee hadn't yet invented in-fighting.
