    No wood nailer? Metal under the base? No trowel? No target sheet over lead pipe collar?

      yeah i didnt understand priming and putting mastic on the drip edge only to put the base sheet on top. i would think base, drip edge, primer, mastic and then cap sheet on top of that.

    • @russelleaves5435
      @russelleaves5435 Месяц назад

      of course if the cap sheet shrinks from the edge it wont leak under the drip edge the way they did it.

    I called you're company after seeing this video cause I thought the Iso Board would be a good additional to the flat roof portion of my home but was told you guys are no longer doing the Iso Boards anymore? Can you guys provide any information as to why you are no longer using these and are there any alternatives to creating some sort of slope on a flat roof?

    Few mistakes I noticed. You did not roll your base sheet and it did not adhere properly. Isoboard is specd to go right on plywood. You should always stagger your nails on drip edge

    This is very helpful. What is the minimum thickness of plywood per Florida codes? Is 7/16 OSB ok to use in Florida Code? Or should it be 5/8 with Florida Code? Thank you, very much!

    • @HumveesandConstruction
      @HumveesandConstruction 2 года назад

      5/8 most of the times

    • @RiverSLV
      @RiverSLV 2 года назад

      Depends how far apart the rafters are if they’re 16 on center you can do 3/8th I believe if it’s 24 it’s gotta be half inch plus is what I was told but check the Florida building code

      For flat roofs by code you should use cdx plywood.Not osb

    • @FlourishingLove

      @@josephtorres383 TY. The roofer had to come and remove the OSB, in the end, and do the flat roof again. It was not up to code in Broward County.

    I would use 4x4 edge metal for a flat roof. Edge metal should be nailed in a staggered w pattern.

      @@ismelescarpio8149 as a Master roofer who graduated the 4 year trade school to become a Journeyman Roofer/Waterproofer since 1981 i can say without a doubt your " concrete roof " post makes zero sense ,this building wasnt designed to withstand the weight of a concrete system or even a light weight gypsum system ,its residential construction built to a price point ,to put a concrete roof system where you advise would mean tearing the entire porch down & rebuilding the structure with steel ,the modified BUR system installed here over top a fully tapered ISO insulation system is the absolutely correct industry standard roof system for this structure ,the system installed will easily beat the I-90 factory mutual required wind uplift spec so the roof can be fully insured up to 90 mph sustained winds and rain ,the only fault i can find with this installation is the crew wearing clothing for the beach instead of proper boots,long pants & long sleeve shirts ,using a trowel to spread the mastic would do a much better job than the wooden panel but thats a non issue .

      For drip edge installation need a “6” strip of plywood 1/2, and the smooth peel and stick first, low side of the valley has to be attach with screws and bull in the need, white peel and stick has to be relaxing por 30 minutes minimum and the perimeter of tin caps are wrong to idk how pass inspection
