The flowers to me look like they’re frangipani, and I always associate them with these foam hair clips (they’re also a common sugar flower tho I believe)

i'm in the same boat as you right now! i don't have a super solid "body of work" that looks good for jurors n stuff.... it only occurred to me that i'll need to establish myself soon if i actually want to succeed as an artist, and that being at university means i should probably try and get an exhibition in my school's gallery before i graduate in '25 😭this summer i'm trying to apply for all the open calls that i possibly can ughhh

that mural painting thing, def sounds entry level. if they were paying by the hour and what the work is worth in the end, then ok maybe only want 'established' artists. and i would say you are established, you make money,people know you for what you create, you study/practice/learn about art. Curious to know what they think an established artist is

I remember these flowers being the ultimate cool hair clips when i was super young
when you mentioned you feel like the month went past so fast and you can't keep up, I needed to pause the video and write a comment because: SO TRUE! I feel the same, it gets worse every month and I feel time slips through my fingers. and you got a studio, i am so happy for you!!!! looking forward to the other videos

The flowers seems frangipani. It's used a lot in hair decorations since it's easy to make them look realistic.

By any chance, do you know what it was you're using for your marker storage? I've been looking for something similar since all the marker storage options I can find are either ugly or expensive.
they're old things that my dad retro fitted for me from michaels. unfortunately they don't sell them anymore, but even the originals didn't come with all the grids.
