Just bought the tm5. I LOVE IT
@@swtenty That's awesome, do you know what the difference is? I think it's the screen on the model perhaps?
Bet it’s expensive to get
@@michaelkemp8506 the TM6 is £1149! It is pricy but it seems like you get your money's worth
Looks like you're out of a job.
You ARE going to let the kids have a go at that thing, right? If you wife ever gets it pried out of her fingers.
Now I want one. I doubt I can afford, tho. *sees the price, faints*
everyone: "wow!... *looks at price*... oh... well, it's still impressive" lol
Haha, that's exactly what happened to me... went to click on link to buy for parents as a Christmas gift and then was like, Oh well, the thought was there lol :-)
@@Rubbafingaz1 from your comment I was curious to see how much. Clicked the link now I understand.
hahaha basically!
@@Okurka. I must admit (maybe naively), that the price would be around £150 - £250... Clearly I was wildly wrong with my estimation lol.
Thermomix is from Germany and I would say a loooooot of us here has one at home 🙈 including me. I have the TM6 now for a year and I looooove it and can't imagine my life without it 🙈 really it's the best machine I own.
Even my parents had one when I was little 🙂
I got really excited and then looked the price up... For over £1000 I think I'll just cook the normal way :')
I got 1 brand new for 1000$
@@seamediaw0rks I already have appliances though :')
@@seamediaw0rks Oh yeah I get that. If you're only needing to prepare small amounts too I get it.
Look up the Cecotech Mambo. It's exactly the same machine but without the fancy-schmancy touchscreen, and without all of the marketing incorporated in the price.
I like it more actually because you can set both the temperature as well as the heating power (preventing burns at the bottom of the pan when cooking e.g milk)
I got mine and it is worth every penny trust me
If Barry sings, does he do it in Barry-Tone? Bayaya
This one is amazing for newlyweds, obliged to buy all the kitchen appliances which are way too expensive and especially for working moms. This one is a hit. Can't wait to get one for myself.
Loved this. Then I saw the price.
Damn
Okay, out of my price range, however if you add up the costs of decent made gadgets that the Thermomix does the job of, then you are looking at about the same price give or take a 100 squid.
Plus it saves a LOT of room. If I won the lottery , this would be high on my to buy list, alongside a built from scratch house with a awesome kitchen with a marble work surface . ...... Oh , and all the Games Workshop paints and models I could fit in said house. xD
@@Believer1980 yeah but that relies on you having none of those things already. And wanting to use all the features. It's a nice bit of tech but far to expensive for a kitchen gadget.
@@Believer1980 this isn't really a defence though. I have two appliances that do literally everything this does already. Three if you want to include a phone for the recipes and shopping list stuff lol. The two appliances are
i bought a kenwood a while ago and i didnt had any tools in the kitchen yet, it costs a fortune, but it basically replaces all the other tools and i never regretted a thing. Im baking a lot so sadly the Thermomixer has a low volume of dough you can do. but its more then enough for 1-2 ppl :) but the price hurts in the beginning.
Find the money. It’s a great bit of kit!
Thought this machine ridiculously expensive, fast-forward nearly two years and I took the plunge and bought one. Wonderful purchase as it has made me so excited these past few months to cook.
@@Okurka. if you have nothing positive to say don’t say nothing at all. I hope you get out of your miserable ways and be a better positive happier person. Take care miserable person….
@@Okurka. wa wa wa someone’s living in their mommies basement has nothing else better to do with their miserable life & doesn’t want to grow up wa wa wa
And there I was thinking it'd be within the £300-400 range, jeeze.
We were WAY off.
In Poland, where I live thermomix cost over 4000 złotych, that means that someone must work almost 2 months to buy it !
Really? This clearly looks like ab above 1000 kind of machine. Though saying that there are knockoffs that are half that but do less
Whenever i see app integrated i guess over 1000 and im always right
@@DimT670 this model costs 1500$
You are paying the pyramid scheme fee. Those $$$ need to get pushed through multiple levels of the pyramid.
There are non pyramid scheme ones that are a lot more affordable than you would think.
Would love to see you two really put this thing to the test, find some really hard recipies and test it out
Omg I need this I live in a small apartment with a small kitchen. That would totally be a game changer for me for stepping up my cooking game
YUS! I LOVE my Thermomix. Yes it is pricey but you truly get what you pay for. I am not affiliated with this company, I just love my TM6 lol. This thing is like having an iPhone after using a landline all your life. One cool thing is that it holds the food at the exact temp needed and also stirs the food. So things don't burn or split and you don't need to stand over it and stir it. You can make so many things yourself that you would normally buy like golden syrup, icing sugar, nut flours, nut butter, custard, lemon curd, jams etc. But also full meals because it cooks. This thing is legit and I use it every day. My top 5 fave things to make are risotto, sous vide eggs, custard, hot chocolate with actual chocolate and dough. No one NEEDS one of these but once you have one it's pretty great. I got myself one of these to celebrate my side hustle business doing well enough for me to go full time. I had wanted one for years! I don't regret my purchase.
>I am not affiliated with this company
deffo reads like an ad
Yeah, totally agree, it has a lot function for cook, but it's so expensive. Fortunately, I found an alternative, Tokit auto machine cheaper and have same function with Thermomix TM6.
You saying "I'm not affiliated with this company" makes it more sus that if you just didn't mention that 😂
😂 I don’t get how saying ‘I’m not affiliated with this company’ makes it seem like I am. I’m honestly not. I just hate when people talk like a customer about how great something is then you go to their social media and they actually sell it. It doesn’t seem genuine. Either way, take or leave what I say. It’s just my experience with it 😀
My favorite videos are when you and Mrs B work together. You guys remind me of young George and Grace Burns, so funny and refreshing. 💙
I think you'll like the Hackathon video coming up soon, she was on form!
@@mrbarrylewis Yay!!! Thank you guys for making the world a bit brighter. Happy holidays!
@@mrbarrylewis hackathon? Yes please, already completed the gadget barrathon
I was having a stressful day with school work and seeing a new video posted made me happy! :D
Also, making dough is a dream in this
Pleasure to watch you! Presented with joy and fun! Must taste good!
This looks cool af, shame about the price
I can sell u one for cheap
I got my own Thermomix TM6 and Im soooo excited 😁
Doesn't matter if you can cook or not, Thermomix does it for you. Its everything a kitchen needs 💚
Everything the kitchen needs is a woman who knows how to cook! 😂😂
@@raynissan8381 or any man with a tm6 😆
@@motherofdragons2317 😂😂😂 you’re absolutely right 😁
I've had mine since January and I absolutely love it!
Hint if you switch the filters around, turn off the UK filter and just leave it on English. You will get around a 1000 recipes for chicken. Not just 200 odd!
I have a Thermomix TM5 (older model) since 2014 and I love it. I will be honest, I would not pay the price they ask but I was fortunate enough to win mine on a giveaway! And I use it everyday and love it. Mine doesnt have internet access but honestly I dont need it. I look up recipes on my phone and follow them. if I didn't have one of these I would get a "knockoff" for example Lidl's Monsieur Cuisine for a fraction of the price.
This looks pretty convincing. The only concerning this is the warranty, for $1,500 a two year warranty is what is holding me back. I read the warranty for the machine and the parts have a even smaller 6 month warranty.
The positive energy in this video is so refreshing! well done , the price tag is quite high though
I love how excited Mrs Barry is 🤣🤣 this is every girl ever xx
@@Okurka. come on man. She probably didn't even know the price anyway
Why do I feel like Mrs Barry is gonna get rid of Barry and marry the Thermomix? xD
Most divorces happen in January, she has my blessing
@@mrbarrylewis I liked the video the item looks Very cool & I'm sure wed all like to have one but.. this was clearly an advert for the item (which I'm not necessarily against normally) it's around £1500 🤯 ...🤷♂️ who can afford this, especially these days,
@@adastra. its clearly stated as an ad.... so don't complain at that. There was no attempt to hide that fact. I enjoyed watching it even though I wouldn't spend that much on something like that - but there's no rule that an item costing over a certain amount can't have an ad! If you thought that way then there would be no car adverts on TV as they aren't exactly cheap things!.
Barry, id have liked to see that top bowl thing in action so maybe choose 3 things that used all aspects of the machine instead of just the mixing jug thingy. For example baking cakes etc - can't see how it could do that given the part of it shown in your vid unless comes come up in a funnel shape!
@@adastra. I know I will never be able to afford one, but I enjoyed watching Barry & Mrs. B. trying it out! :-) ... and I guess if you add the prices of all the kitchen equipment this unites - e.g. Sous-vide thing, high-power blender, slow-cooker, kitchenaid mixer-thing, etc. - while needing far less space then all combined, I think the price is o.k. For the people who would buy the aforementioned appliences otherwise, it's probably great! ;-)
@@nigelstockley7011 I hope we're not related.
It’s like a really smart instant pot! That’s awesome!
I AM SO JELLY! i worked with the first version in culinairy school and it was amaizing and the possibilities are endless!! i just hope thermomix will make it blind friendly since my mom is blind so i mean like read whats on screen and like voice over (apple) style touchscreen handling. technology has come real far!
0:08 When you’re expecting Barry to do the intro only to find out that Mrs. B decided to magically join.
What a amazing piece of kit
I have one and I'm happy with it. Especially since I'm due to give birth and my husband not being able to cook but able to use the thermomix 🤣 plus once the baby is able to eat more solid foods there are also tons of baby food recipes ^^
Are there any downsides of it pls?
My roommate and I both looked at my Instant Pot with a "you get the Hell out of our kitchen" look. Then we saw the price tag when we looked up the product and went "nope." Then we saw the self-clean demo, "huh... yeah okay... that explains a lot."
everything can self clean if it gets hot enough, its how modern ovens self clean
I've had mine for over 20 years. I wouldn't be without it!
I have one and its AMAZING! change the filter. Delete UK have no countries selected and just have ENGLISH soooooooo many more recipes come up xx Berry foam is a huge hit in our house, your girls will love it! Sorbet. Full chicken dinners the list is endless! X
I am about to buy.Awesome product.much easier than regular cooking with so many pots
I absolutely love my Thermomix! Best kitchen equipment you will ever need.
I wonder what the energy usage of this is- could be a good alternative for a stove in a tiny house/bus/van.
I was thinking the same so I googled it. Wattage is 500 W so maybe not for off grid living? But I suppose not everybody does off grid when going tiny so it could bean option I think
@@mickyme3696 that’s true, many people end up on the grid who go tiny! Also depends on how many solar panels you have and how much wattage you can store! Still think it’s a good
option for living tiny. In some countries I know you have to supply your own appliances and even cabinets to rentals, so a good option there as well.
@@sofapop653 yeah that is true. And even in small apartments it could be useful. If you can afford the purchase price😵😵
Micky Me The motor is 500 watts, but the heating element is 1000 watts giving a total power consumption of 1500 watts. Still not much, but in an off grid situation that would hammer a small battery system.
@@spencerwilton5831 you're right, that would not work for an off grid situation. But not everyone who lives tiny, lives off grid so maybe for them it could be useful. I don't live in a tiny house but I don't have a lange kitchen so I could see me using something like this, if the price wasn't that steep😊
Love my Thermomix, makes the best fudge, curry, baileys slush, worth ever Penny
One of the best demos of any product I’ve seen
Upgraded from TM5 to TM6. Can't wait to get it. Thanks.
I NEED IT! I ALSO NEED YOU TO MAKE MORE VIDEOS ON IT!
I have 1 for sale 1000$
I have had a TM6 for about 5 Months and it’s a Brilliant Kitchen Appliance.
Yes it is expensive but Vorwerk offers you 12:, 24 or 36 Monthly payments. 😊
I would never be without it now.
"Thermomix - Live Your Best Jetsons Life, Now."
There a new playlist for Barry to do now what can we make using this😂😂
I wish they’d sponsor me to be able to afford one of those
You guys are funny as. Really enjoyed this because of you guys. Thank you
I mean, the best part of this all-in-one kitchen gadget seems to be the pleasant sound it makes when it wants your attention!
"Yeah? Dhal-ing?" these two really were made for eachother huh
Try frozen yoghurt and frozen fruit blend 10 sec on 6. It's so yum .I use soy yoghurt add stevia. So good I can now make dairy free desert in 10 seconds
Did you know that Vorwerk is an MLM before doing the deal?
Yeah, it sounds... uhhh... interesting...
Well as much as tupperware right? As in yea it is but you won't end up losing your house in the process just some more money than usual
@@DimT670 My Cousin got dragged into this MLM and spent months trying to get out cause they kept trying to make her buy stock that she couldn't sell. All MLMs can end in you losing a house if your upline is full of greedy assholes.
@@rayne4224 how? at worst you have bought a device at higher than market value, same as tuperware. How does that translate into loosing your house
@@DimT670
MLMs tend to have everyone you know in the MLM telling you that if you just invest more money and time into it you're sure to see a profit, which of course they'll say that, they're making money whenever you buy something so they want to keep you involved as long as possible.
They prey on desperate people who need the money and pressure as much money out of them with the promise of making money until they're unable or unwilling to buy any more overpriced products.
My sister ran into this with another MLM about 10 years ago, no matter how much she tried to make it work she was losing money but they convinced her that she just needed to attend a few seminars on selling it, they're only £300 right now, they're "normally" £900(a lie to pressure her into paying even more money). She eventually left after she realised people were only buying from her because they cared about her and she was desperate, a lot of the stuff bought wound up in the bin.
I think they're pushing the demo above buying it because they're hoping to pressure people into buying it probable with MLM style tactics(if you buy it you can sign up to give these demos too and everyone you convince to buy it gives you a quarter of your money back, you just need to sell it to 4 people and it's free, sell to more and you're in profit, what do you have to lose) rather than selling it on it's own merits(and again, it's £1,200 for a scale, mixer, blender, recipe book, oven hybrid, it might look cool but you can buy a really good one of everything it does for under £600, there's no reason to pay as much as it's priced at).
I keep watching these videos to hear how other people pronounce my last name but everyone just says thermomix and never says Vorwerk
I've never heard of Thermomix...but I must say...this thing is beyond AMAZING!!!!!
Agreed, not in everyone's budget.... but it is amazing
What a time to be alive! 😋
On friends in Germany rave about these, I’m excited to watch this one
Had the TM5, just got our TM6.
Wait till you start thinking about getting another bowl so you can cook and prep even more stuff.
Also, in winter, my kids use it to make porridge, safe clean and easy as for an 8 year old.
Quick Banana bread, Mac and cheese, all doable for a kid.
Only down side to the TM6, no automated custard. The TM5 had it.
This is freaking brilliant, when I move over to the UK in the summer I am absolutely investing in one!!!!!
I just got one an hour ago at a boot sale for £50 including the electric cookbook. Can't wait to try it out!
That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! I would love to have one.💜
There is a great December offer now. Go for it and book your demo
I love Mrs. B, you guys are so cut together
My parents have a Thermomix, it must be one of the earliest models. Definitely at least 25 years old, maybe 30. It's still going strong. Granted it only has a heat dial and a chopping speed dial, that's it. Still, you can be sure that the mechanical parts will last you forever. That's what Vorwerk, the manufacturer, are famous for. We also have a vacuum cleaner by them that must be more than 30 years old.
So the price is steep, but when you see what you get for it and how long it will last you, it is a very good deal.
Thank you for the inspiration
All of Barry's videos from now on: pour this, this, and this into the container - put on the lid - set the time and temperature - done! :P
I mean, there are cooking channels that do nothing but Thermomix. And yeah, they are more or less like that.
Rolf S Wow, that seems very one-note...
@@rolfs2165 That does get boring after a while...
Barry's reaction when Mrs B said, "Yeah...Dahling!" hehehehe so cute!!!
Would want to nearly clean the house aswel for that price 🤣🤣🤣👀
I would love to see videos testing out the limitations of this machine, for example, the largest size of a beef/ gammon joint that's able to fit; as most slow cookers we seem to find nowdays are too small for my family, being a large family, same with cakes etc. Unless it otherwise states on the machine instructions etc. Much love ❤️
Did you see the price? Never push it to the limits!
Dear Barry,
Could you share a bit about how you tempered the chocolate using TM6?
I've looked around online and on Cookidoo, and I can't seem to find a clear-cut chocolate temper guide for the Thermomix.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Melt at 50degrees for 4 mins for 150g
Best review of the Thermomix and so funny you two! I bought the TM6 last week and I have been blown away every day!
Great video Barry - are you still loving your TM6? I cannot decide whether to invest - I have so many appliances cluttering up my kitchen from grills to pressure cookers (x3 - don’t ask!) - will this do the job of all these things? If so, I’d seriously consider selling those and getting this beast instead! Thanks again for a great review and demo
We’re now looking to buy one of these next week, they look so fun
hy there from wuppertal, germany where i live. well - this is the town, where that magic machine is built. vorwerk - a well known factory in my hometown. but - i'm honest - it is much too expensive for us. but it was a pleasure to watch you and your family to make the first steps with the machine. love your videos. thumbs up!
It cleans i self !!!! Great. When I do a milkshake with my blender I do it the same way. A bit warm water + a Spritzer of dish washing liquid....speed it up for 5 seconds. Rinse it ... and you are done !!!!!
When you sautee or make caramel and you don’t have to scrub the bottom of a pan...
These guys are a customer of my work, so know all about them! these things are very cool
Merry Christmas
A. I Loooooove how excited becky is!!! Shes soooo fricken cute!!! B. I would TOTALLY buy this product if i had $1,387. This is a very very impressive machine. Im just blown away.
Lovely video. And shows a product off beautifully.
I get it’s not cheap but from this demo I know many people who would love an intuitive gadget like this, that would be used for years.
Love it
Instead of washing up the Thermomix after making the honeycomb, just add some milk , then heat and you will have a hot honeycomb flavoured milk . Yum
I love this machine saves me a lot of money 💵 and I love cooking, it’s a great tool for an amateur home Chef like me.
I found out from FB and very keen to get one, someone will whatapps video me tomorrow for Demo and now after watching your video, I am definitely getting one, thank you
Dhal-ing. Of course you two are a couple.
This would be great, but this thing costs as much as my stove/oven did. Wish I had seen it a few years ago.
Yeah unaffordable now but it's a sight into what the future is going to be like. Tech just get cheaper in time.
@@christianedmunds3789 its a pyramid scheme so it will never be made cheaper.
There are already plenty of affordable alternatives around already though.
@@Lyysabeth yeap, I have a ninja grill/air frier & an instapot and can cook almost anything bwt those and the stove. I figured its a gimmicky thing, plus if you don't have wifi, may not work. Just would be nice, not never at that price.
And you get all the benefits of the pesticides and preservatives from the lemon rind too! Yummy!
David Oickle Never heard of organic unwaxed lemons?
What a time to be alive ...nailed it
Never heard of this machine. Looks wonderful.
Lol you two are hilarious 😂
Ordered mine a while ago and it takes so long to get it!!
At first I thought this was going to be like the Juicero, but it's actually a nice little machine. If you do a LOT of cooking and it is durable it's probably worth the price.
The only thing that worries me about these sorts of devices (apart from the cost), is how long are they supported for my the manufacturer? It might be great now - but my fridge is over 10 years old, my kettle older, etc. Is this still going to work after the maker turns of it's servers? How long will they supply patches for it? Keep it secure? This isn't going to be much use if some hacker cab brick it in a few years time if a security hole is found. etc.
The thing is warrantied for 2 years - which is fantastic for a blender ... but pants for an operating system connected to the internet. I'd be wary.
I watched the video and was like, wow that looks cool for my mum for Christmas. So I clicked on the link to buy.... OVER A GRAND !! (Over £1,000). I think I feinted when I saw that price... My mum will have to do without lol.
omg that looks amazing your own personal michelin star chef maker! this looks so great. i really wish i could afford it i work 60 hrs a week and im too tired to cook with one of these i could eat more healthy. great vids thank you Gary
Please do a thermomix series!!😱
I love her; she's just like me when I get new cooking appliances, lol
I would buy one of these
But im not going to for two reasons
1. It would make the rest of my kitchen redundant
2. Theyre really expensive, this thing costs more than my laptop
Did you know that the brand of this product changes between countries? In Portugal is called Bimby and a lot of people save money to buy it. Even though is very expensive, in the long run is very useful specially for parents that have to balance work and home life!
I do think it’s impressive but considering most people already have things like tablets for recipes, dishwashers, blenders and stove tops this is expensive but if I was just moving out or lived in a tiny home or something this is pretty awesome.
It's an expensive bit of kit, $1,500USD
I was a bit sceptical but the app/platform intelligence is amazing!
Yeah it's really clever, we were super impressed!
"what a time to be alive" 😂
I would seriously love one of these but I would have to do a lot of saving, it was over £1000 when I looked years ago so I bet it is more now but what an amazing gadget!
I'm in Australia and just about to trade in my 10 yr old TM31 for the TM6. So excited. My old one is still working well but looking tired and they're offering a TM 6 for $1999 with the trade in!
Your review was one of the reasons I bought a thermomix for myself
What a great device
Never heard of this thing until earlier today. What a cool product. Man, technology is amazing. I could definitely see something like this becoming as common as say a KitchenAid in the future. The kind of thing you buy and it's ridiculously expensive but lasts a lifetime. Who knows? 16 years ago when I finished high school this very smartphone I'm typing from didn't even exist (at least I don't recall them and if they were it was a thing very few had) and look at us now. We'd be lost without our pocket computers that also make phone calls (do people even do that anymore?) 🤣
Yep, definitely a mind blowing thing. You pay what you get. You can get it by installments £29 a month. I’m an advisor and let me know if you have any more questions.
Good ad! I bought one!
Try sous videing meat then blow torching to make a beautiful crust ...its the best way to cook meat
