My Aunt has a thermomix and used it nearly everyday of our visit a few years ago in Bruchkoebel! It was wonderful to experience all the culinary creations firsthand! It has been on my radar ever since and I will be taking the plunge, soon! Thank you so much, I’m learning so much from these wonderful reviews/comments…
@Helogurl - it’s a fantastic addition to the kitchen! I’m very happy that you’re enjoying my content. It makes all of the hard work worth it. If you have any questions regarding the TM6, please feel free to ask! Thanks for your support 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I bought a Thermomix for a year now, the best thing I bought! More time for me , and I am cooking more from scratch by making coconut milk and the flours...I love it!
@ana carvalho. Hi there. That’s brilliant! Did you wonder that you might not use it much before you bought it? I did, but I use it all of the time. I must say I haven’t tried coconut milk in it yet. Have you tried making the butter? It’s amazing . As for flours, in December I’ll be publishing the classic British mince pie in time for Christmas. Thats shortcrust pastry cooked in the TM6. I hope you watch it 😀👍🏻🙋🏻♂️ Thanks for your support. RTF
@Tony Brewin wow! Thanks very much, that means a lot to me, particularly coming from someone with so much experience in the food world. Are you planning on buying one, or do you already own one? Thanks again 😀 RTF
Since 1979?? Wow. That's an early adopter for sure. I've had mine since 2007 and couldn't be without it either. So much so I joined the company in 2017 soon after they launched it in the US. My boys grew up with it back in Portugal where we are from and are both fully independent in the kitchen. Taking the load of mommy here to be the only cook. They actually don't conceive not having one. It's like not having a dishwasher.
@@MartaSereno trying to contact USA consultant to arrange USA purchase. Would you please reach out to me? Previous attempts to find a consultant have gone unanswered. Very disappointed so far.
Yes. I've had mine for over 20 years! I can cook (and my son's a chef) and I've lived in Italy for over 40 years, where it's always been very popular. It saves so much time. For example, things like polenta, risotto, bechamel/roux which normally need constant stirring...you just set it up, set the time and temperature and it calls you when it's finished. In the meantime you've done other things. And a friend f mine who can't cook to save her like was so happy to be given one when she had a baby, as she could make all the baby food she needed quickly and properly despite having no idea how to make it!
This is such a lovely comment, thanks so much for taking the time to write it. I don’t want to over sell this, but like you’ve said, this thing is a kitchen life changer. The risotto is so easy and I think is restaurant standard. I haven’t tried polenta in mine yet, but you’ve certainly got me thinking. And it makes baby food? Who knew? Certainly didn’t! Thanks again for stopping by 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@@charinajohansson3890 just look at the time stamps. Video was made 3 years ago and this comment was 7 months ago and Richie still says it is a kitchen life changer. One can certainly do that math can't they? I finally bought one last week and can't wait to get started with it. I have several friends who have a Thermomix since years and still swear by it.
You see all these positive reviews, and I do think it's a great kitchen device, (even though many people - not here maybe - got their unit for free in order to do the review.) My bottom line opinion is that its cost/benefit ratio is highly variable depending on each individual's personal situation. This includes aspects such as cooking skills/enjoyment, available time, financial, and depth/breadth of cuisine interest. For me, the 1-2 hours I spend every night cooking dinner after doing complex tasks in front of two computer monitors all day is my mental Yoga because I love to cook, from scratch, and most of the time, without a recipe. I love the feel of the knife in my hand. I love the challenge of having 2-3 things cooking on the stovetop at once. Now if I were someone that had other interests I wanted to free up time for and didn't enjoy cooking as a hobby, and a $1,500 USD counter-top high-tech kitchen device is within my budget, this could be a Godsend. Overall though I tend to think in our modern world we all have a bias towards liking new technology and exaggerating, at least a little, its actual life benefit.
@Jeff C wow, what an in-depth review/comment. Thanks for taking the time to write it. Firstly, as much as I’d like one of these babies for free, I had to pay for mine. It came highly recommended from a friend of mine. I also love to cook from scratch, as you can see on my cooking channel. There’s nothing better than opening a bottle of wine and getting stuck into cooking a good winter warmer. I bought mine for ease of use on the week. My wife isn’t a confident cook, but she is with the TM6. She’ll happily cook dinner when I’m running late at work. It’s also great for a lot of forms of prep, which saves time too. I agree, it’s a hefty amount to pay out, but I think on the whole, it’s more than worth it. Thanks again mate, and thanks for interacting with my channel. I hope you might like some of my other cooking content😀 RTF
I’d do a review every day as I cook with only this awesome kitchen tool for a year if I could get one of these for free! Really cool tool !!! I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings for these devices as new models and/or additional parts are released. Great video review brother! I think I’ll subscribe after I check out that rice recipe of yours and see how good it is. Great review bro! 👊

Great review Richie! Full disclaimer before my comment, I am a Thermomix employee in the US. Regarding cookidoo cost, mind you it's not just downloading a few bytes of information. Thermomix has dedicated teams of professional chefs in many countries developing those recipes for Thermomix. At the time you did this review there were 45k recipes. There are now, 10 months after, over 74k. Adding new ones every month at no additional cost, for a yearly subscription around the price of 1 good cookbook. In addition, you can use your thermomix without cookidoo in manual mode much like it used to be before cookidoo existed a few years back. Hope you are enjoying your thermomix more everyday. Keep up the great work with your RUclips channel.
@Marta Serano thanks so much for the nice comment. I do admit, at the time of filming this review, I would have been slightly naive regarding Cookidoo. After almost 1 year of owning the machine, I can clearly see the work that goes into Cookidoo. As you say, it is always updated with new recipes and not left to go stale. Either way, I absolutely love this machine, and feel this review has helped Vorwerk sell a unit or two :) Again, thanks for supporting my channel and taking the time to comment, it is very much appreciated. Do keep in touch with all things Thermomix! RTF

Thank you so much for your detailed and really informative helpful review. I'm a foodie too and a competent cook but am time poor with work and uni study so am tempted to add the TM6 to my kitchen, even though I already own a different brand high quality thermo cooker (which I love as well!). @@RichieTheFoodie since you have every other appliance, we in the U.S. have access to a multi cooker by Cuckoo that you'd LOVE. I bought them for my cousins, two of whom already own Instant Pots, and they prefer the Cuckoo (although its orientation uses more counter real estate). It's the CMC-ASB601F, A60 Premium Series and you can see demos here on RUclips of its smaller model (they recently made a larger, six-quart model available, which is what we in the family all have). They're made in Korea and are of much nicer quality than similar units made in China. It's RIGHT up your alley!
Great review and I learnt a lot from this and the following Beef Madras review. Our TM6 is on order as our 40th Wedding Anniversary present to ourselves so we will call her Ruby. I'm an experienced cook who has lost interest in spending hours peeling, slicing, dicing, chopping, blending and grinding. We've also ordered the new potato peeler which replaces the plastic cover. This way my retired husband is now keen to cook too! I've subscribed.

I’m considering … so is there much difference between the TM5 and the TM6, ? I might go for a second hand TM5 if it makes sense . Another question , is there less particulate in the air this way than traditional cooking?
I haven’t owned a TM5 if I’m being honest. I do know that the main difference is the built in WiFi, the Cookidoo connection and guided/cook along recipes. The other main difference is the increase in temperature meaning you can work with sugar and also stir fry meat and vegetables etc. As for particulate, I’d say it’s about the same as traditional cooking I hope this helps, if you have any more questions, I’m happy to help. Hi, you can add as little or as much as you wish, or you can skip any part of the recipe you want to, the machine will just let you continue. Thanks for the trustworthy review. I'm wondering, when the Cookidoo subscription expires, do you lose your recipes? Does the cooking process become more manual?
Hi there. Thanks for the nice comment 😀 Yes, I believe the cooking would become more manual, but you could still read hard copies of tm6 recipes to cook with. I hope this helps RTF
@@RichieTheFoodie the TM5 has chips that contain the contents of recipe books; you attach them on the side and you're guided through recipes on its (smaller-than-the-TM6's) screen. There's a larger Cuckidoo chip that allows online access to the Cuckidoo site (IOW Bluetooth isn't built into the unit, unlike the TM6), plus you were able to load the contents of your other chips to your Cuckidoo account FOR A RIDICULOUSLY BRIEF WINDOW OF TIME. 😡 I couldn't find the chip that was bundled with the machine (although I still have its hard cover recipe book), so I Iost the ability to load it to Cuckidoo. That and the high annual Cookidoo dues REALLY pissed me off. I'm going to upgrade to the TM6 (I'm passing the TM5 along to a friend) but there's a side of me that still loves my trusty Canadian TM31 best of all. Just terribly petty on Vorwerk's part, especially for such an expensive, albeit superior, appliance.
Richie, thank you for the honest review! I wonder if I can still make my own recipes with the Thermomix (I'm really into Ayurvedic food)? And how suitable is the TM6 if you are a vegan/vegetarian?
@Merle Wangerin - you’re more than welcome! Happy to help. Yes you can indeed make and create your own recipes. @Terrey Yulianna I’m receiving lots of comments on the channel regarding the Tokit. To be honest, I’d never heard of it! As I’ve already said, I’m most definitely intrigued! May I say thanks for sharing the information ant stopping by to leave a comment. I appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@RichieTheFoodie Cheers! What an exceptional video. Thanks for the Thermomix demo. I am definitely thinking of getting one. Is the machine with the jar heavy? I did not understand when you said that to get recipes an annuity needs to be paid. This mean that we can't grab Thermomix recipes from the internet to add them in our Thermomix? Now I understand, what in fact Thermomix wants is for customers to spend money on the cookido. So, that's why they don't allow us to grab recipes from the internet, correct? By the way do u know the TOKIT? Well the machine is made and assembly in China the recipes (cookido) are completely free. So what are the difference now? Thermomix is triple the price than the TOKIT, cookido must be payed anual y or monthly and most important thing they say it “MADE IN GERMANY” but in fact I bet u that is not made in Germany, it was designed by a German person yes and it is also assembled in Germany. But now, tell me where does every little peace to assembled the machine are coming from, China, am I correct? Or they built every piece in Germany?
Hi there. It’s quite heavy, yes. The cokidoo app requires an annual subscription. You can still see the recipes online but you can’t see the instructions on what to do and the app won’t run alongside your machine. I hope this does not put you off getting one, you won’t regret it. If you have any more questions, let me know. Thanks for supporting my channel 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Couldn't agree more with the annual dues for Cuckidoo, and I've been a subscriber for several years now. Half would be about right (and still couldn't be called "cheap"). Nice review!
@HotVoodooWitch thanks for the comment. I originally thought I was being slightly harsh stating that when I reviewed the tm6. Maybe they charge it to pay their recipe writers? I hope you subscribed to the foodie family 😀👍🏻🙋🏻♂️
@@RichieTheFoodie my dear, what can I say--the truth can be harsh and you nailed it. Liking something doesn't require a suspension of one's ability to call it like it is. And yes, I hit that "subscribe" button. 🤣
Absolutely spot on. I disagree with the subscription, but couldn’t be without my TM6. 1st world problems 🤔lol Thanks for the sub, the more constructive comments, the better, I feel 😀
@@HotVoodooWitch @RichieTheFoodie while I understand your comments and points around it being expensive (especially given the machine itself costs you a pretty penny) and I'm not trying to say that both of you are wrong with my following points, I do feel like I need to make two counterpoints/follow-ups: 1. We happily pay $15 AUD (~10 GBP) a month for something like Netflix, so my first point I guess would be what's 30 GBP a year? I realise it's not really comparing apples to apples, but at the end of the day like Richie pointed out above, it's all content creation and I think that's mainly what you're paying for. From what I understood, Cookidoo is constantly adding new recipes are they not? 2. Like you say in your video, Richie, you're not streaming hundreds of gigs for the recipes, but again correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was that the biggest benefit you get for the Cookidoo recipes is the built-in "wizard" functionality of the TM6, is it not? In other words the on-screen prompts and interactive instructions. Sure I can use any recipe I can find anywhere, but then I'd have to figure out how to do it with the TM myself. My point is: this is where I think the TM starts to absolutely shines is when you combine it with the Cookidoo recipes to get all of that convenience. Click on recipe, do what it says on the screen, and presto, out comes your meal. I'd happily pay 30 GBP a year for that! Anyway, thanks for the amazingly detailed and honest review, Richie. The wife and I are seriously considering getting hold of one of these and you've cleared up a lot of questions I had.
I'm taking a serious look at this in the United States. I don't think it will ever replace a Hobart mixer, but I'm betting that it will make it a lot easier for more difficult recipes that require precise temperatures and mixing times, such as hollandaise sauce, tempered chocolate, cream brulee and other recipes that require expensive ingredients and are highly sensitive. I am banking on the possibility that the cost of ingredients will greatly exceed the cost of this machine over time, and it will pay for its self in the reduced potential for food waste. And then there's the added possibility of more experimentation for recipes. One can certainly hope for the best!
You’ve made some very good points there, and you’re exactly right. Creme patisserie for example, comes out perfect. Hollanadaise, as you mentioned is a breeze. Perfect every time, and because it’s taking care of the heat, you can focus on other parts of the dish, knowing the tm6 has your back. You’d probably use it for a lot more than you think you would, I use mine every day and couldn’t imagine my kitchen life without it now. I used it to cook a creme brulee on my channel. It Might make an interesting watch for you. Thanks for commenting and supporting my channel. I appreciate it 😀
@@RichieTheFoodie I'll plan on using it for combination dishes, like a salmon/soup/potato recipe. With salmon at $9.00 per pound, the food is not cheap so I am not going to want to take a chance of it not turning out right. For items that will cause premature wear to the blades of this machine, such as nut butters, I'll continue to use my Robot Coupe for those (they're simple and quick anyway) to extend the Thermomix's life. I am also betting that cold recipes like a cheese ball would be better done in a heavy mixer. For slicing and dicing, the food processor can team with the Thermomix, allowing me to let the Thermomix do a few tasks while I focus on preparing other ingredients with my other tools. There is nothing cheap about good equipment. This is an investment, like buying stocks and precious metals. The payoff is over time.
It certainly sounds like you have an extensive collection of kitchen gadgets, and I think the TM6 would be a worthy new member. I believe the blade is very durable and relatively inexpensive to replace. The TM6 is built well, so it will make a great workhorse. I sometimes feel like I big this machine up a bit too much in my comments, but it’s that good, it’s difficult not to. I hope you invest in one, and I’d be very interested to know your thoughts, both positive and negative once you become accustomed to it. Do let me know, and thanks again for posting your comments
You can definitely consider me as a small appliance collector. There have been times when I ended up with some surplus, which I would donate to someone who would want a mixer or food processor. The ones that I use, even if I use them rarely, are the ones I keep.

I just learned about this product after seeing a knockoff of it. Im thoroughly impressed with the entire concept and i feel its a tool everyone should have in the kitchen no matter your skill level. I also wonder if any entrepreneurs have thought of stocking a restaurant with these. You wouldnt need skilled cooks to deliver above avg meals and they would be extremely consistent. Great video
@Gonzo I completely agree. I feel I’m a good cook (dare I say) but there are so many dishes which I make in the TM6, and compared to manual way I cook them I ask myself, ‘is it worth manually cooking these again? ‘ There’s hardly a difference. With some of the rubbish served here in the U.K in restaurants, you could easily open a restaurant using just these. I had the opportunity to meet the head chef of a Michelin starred kitchen, I spotted 3 units, they only use them for prep, but still..! Thanks for taking the time to comment on my channel. I hope you considered subscribing too 😃 RTF
Just off the top of my head: it could get expensive. The savings in labor and the better food might pay for themselves, but I'm guessing that repairs would not be cheap, and the machines are probably not made with heavy use in mind. Then again, it's German engineering, so maybe they are?
@@wademcreynolds7428 i agree. Maybe its something they should R&D. Build some industrial units. I just saw a video of a restaurant somewhere in asia that uses machines to make egg fried rice. They just have someone prepping food and washing the dishes. So it looks like there may be a market for it. I just really love the concept because so many people struggle with cooking meals these days and this can take them to the next level and inspire them.
@@wademcreynolds7428 some very good points there. Here in the UK, you get a 2 year domestic warranty, or 1 year commercial. As for the German engineering, these things feel like they are built extremely well, very sturdy. That’s not to say they’d never break down. Not had any problems at all, with mine yet, after 9 months of almost daily use. Thanks for commenting. RTF
They are used in restaurant kitchens all around the world, when you watch cooking shows & once you know what to look for you'll see them being used especially for sauces etc because Thermomix will hold a constant temperature
Thank you for the video! I know that everything is relative but I’m considering to buy one to my daughter, she is an university student and almost vegetarian, she likes fresh food, do you recommend me to buy it for her?
Hi there. Absolutely, there are 1000’s of vegetarian recipes on Cookidoo. As for liking fresh food, that’s pretty much what the tm6 is all about, scratch cooking with fresh ingredients, virtually nothing processed. To my knowledge, there are a lot of subscribers to my channel who are vegetarian and own a tm6. I hope this helps. Can I say thanks for supporting my channel 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
The only thing that i think could be better is that now you are stock to the recepies and if you want to fry for example you have to use some of the recepie and you can not do something on your own recepies for example, thats not so good...
Hi there. You don’t have to use Cookidoo recipes. You are free to use the machine for general cooking and your own recipes. There are instructions on how to use the functions in the book supplied. I hope this helped. Any more questions, please ask. Thanks for watching 🙏😀 RTF
Hi Charlie, that’s not much of an increase over time then. Do you enjoy being an advisor? I’m glad you enjoyed the review and thanks for stopping by and supporting the channel 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I have 2 days left to stay one, so far not got the sales I need (needed 4) which is frustrating. The March monthly offer is a great one too - get an extra bowl and the long awaited cutter for £69 plus the option for 24months interest free!

Hi , I just ordered my TM6 and have doubts about if it’s a good decision, I love to cook that’s why I haven’t buy it before… do you still used is as much?
Hi Cyndi. I have to say, you’ve made a great decision. I use mine almost daily, even after all of this time. Even if I’m not using it following a recipe on Cookidoo, I’m using it for steaming, blending, sous vide etc. if you need any help or advice, feel free to shout up. Thanks for stopping by 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Hi I just found your channel! Thank you for this review, it was very helpful, I'm debating about one of these particularly when I return to work from maternity leave. I enjoy cooking (by no stretch of the imagination would I say I'm a great cook though) so this would definitely be helpful. My rational though is because I'm quite time poor. Curious as its so high tech is there a timer function you can set for it to switch on? I ask because while I have a slow cooker it only gives you a 3-7 window, and often I'm much later coming home from work... Often to an overcooked or ruined dinner!
@Andrea. Hello! I’m certainly glad that you stumbled across my channel 😀 You’re very welcome, I really enjoyed filming it, and pleased it’s helped you and lots of others make a decision to make one of the best purchases you’ll ever make (no exaggeration) Unfortunately, there is currently no timer to turn the machine on. There are regular software updates though, so I wouldn’t rule it out in future. I tend to use the TM6 to batch cook and freeze, ready for a busy week. For example, I’m publishing my TM6 chilli tomorrow. It serves 6 and freezes really well. The beef madras on my channel is another dish that freezes well. The TM6 will save you time either way. You can knock up a quality dish in 30 minutes and you don’t have to constantly watch over it, stirring, adjusting heat etc. It does it all for you. Plus there’s hardly no washing up to do. If you’re time poor, I really can’t recommend this machine enough, and I’m not a Thermomix advisor, I’m completely neutral. Get one on order 😀 May I thank you for commenting and supporting my channel, I really appreciate it. If there’s anything more I can do to help, please ask away, it’s no trouble. If you decide to buy one, definitely let me know how it goes. Thanks 😀👍🏻 RTF
@@RichieTheFoodie thank you for taking the time out to respond. Much appreciated. I'm now gonna have to look into it ... But like you said it should be well worth the investment. Will have to check out the rest of the cooking videos on your channel!
Thank you for the video, can you substitute ingredients in a recipe say it has carrots can I instead use potato for instance. Can I make my own recipes?
You’re very welcome. You can absolutely substitute for any ingredient you like. You can also make your own recipes, it’s quite easy once you get used to each function of the machine. It’s very versatile. Thanks for your comment and watching the video, I appreciate it. I hope you’ll consider subscribing if you haven’t already 😀👍🏻 RTF
Hi Richie, I’m still on the fence about this one. I cannot decide - I’m not a ‘foodie’ or regular cook - I just cook to eat/survive so I suspect this would be too much for me - what do you think? I know you don’t know me from Adam but from what I’ve said and from your personal experience …… thanks.
@Toria Summers - hiya! There’s a few ways you could look at this. If you say you just eat to survive, then it’s possible that it wouldn’t be worth investing so much money into a cooking device. On the flip side, you could purchase this and possibly discover a love for food, fresh ingredients and different world food cultures which could blow your mind. All made so simple in the TM6! The choice is yours. I may not know you from Adam, but you contribute and support the channel, so as far as I’m concerned, you’re part of the family ❤️😀🙋🏻♂️RTF

Actually, I did not think it was necessary, but when my grandfather gone, I change my mind. My grandmother really need it, because the machine can take care of her instead of me when I am buzy. I have been thinking about buying an automatic cooking machine. Recently I discovered a more cost effective automatic cooking machine, the Tokit Omni Cook, I have take an order and look forward to its arrival.

My friend just bought it yesterday in Germany. She talked about it for years, always wanted to buy one and now, since we can't do holidays, she decided to go for that little gadget out of her holiday funds. She paid a whooping promotional €1399, instead of €1496 😳 so much more than here in the UK. I am thinking of it. But I'm worried about the size. It's only 2.2L, so not massive. Obviously you have the steaming basket as well and it has 3L. And also I have a question, since I'm Polish, can you change languages on it? Not that I'm struggling with English but it would be great to read the recipes in my mother tongue. And I was wondering, if they have any Polish recipes 🤔 I own an Instanpot, and I love it but it's not as versatile as this one. Nice review by the way! Keep it up 👍
@Taxi Maxi thanks for you nice comment. I fully appreciate each and every one I receive. Wow! That is expensive, and in honesty, if it was that price in the U.K and I had to replace mine, I’d pay it. Yes, the bowl isn’t massive, but a lot of the recipes serve up to 6 people, generously, I’d say 4-5 though, so it depends on how large your family is I’m sure you can’t change the machine’s language, but I just checked Cookidoo here on my iPad, and you have options to filter countries when you search recipes. For example I searched ‘chicken’ and filtered Poland and I got two matches in Polish, so they are there, but there aren’t many. Anyway, your English is fine! I’d definitely buy one if you can! Thanks for your support, and I hope you subscribed to the foodie family. Tell your friends too 😁 RTF
You can absolutely change the language to Polish in your settings. In addition cookidoo has recipes from many countries including Poland so you will have native, traditional recipes from Poland, developed by polish chefs for Thermomix. Tons of pirogui recipes ;)
To be clear; the recipes within Cookidoo (what a terrible name), will appear in their native language. I'm unsure of the number of languages available. Suffice to say, it will not translate a Polish recipe to English, for example.

@Justine Leggett I’m not sure what you mean by a cook key? As for the nutritional content, the cookidoo app does include this with each recipe 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
There was a cook-key on the tm5; the tm6 doesn't have a cook-key attached as it has cookidoo integrated in the screen. I hope I helped answer your question.

No I didn’t, but feel free to add a bit more heat if you wish. You’ll see from my channel that love to cook traditionally too. I think the biggest hack on the tm6 has to be the risotto. It’s better than what I can achieve on the stove, and so much easier! I urge you to try the mushroom risotto that I’ve recorded here on the channel. Try sous vide cooking too! 😀🙋🏻♂️RTF
@Debbie Milner Yes, sure, you absolutely can. I believe there was a function you could only use in Cookidoo. Recent software updates have changed that. If there are functions you can’t manually use, I’m unaware. It would help to use Cookidoo recipes to familiarise yourself with the TM6 functions before attempting your own recipes, like the varoma function for example. There’s also a glossary in the book explaining each function and settings to help you use it for your own recipes. Please check out my chicken in mushroom sauce, which is my own recipe in the tm6. I hope this helps, thanks so much for interacting with my channel, I really appreciate it 😀👍🏻 RTF
Hi Richie, have you ever had any problems with your thermie insofar as the motor sounding like it’s really struggling and stopping for a couple of seconds? I made some vegetable soup the other day following the guided recipe to the letter and it really sounded like it was having a hard time - clearly there are lots of more vegetables in the bowl but I didn’t do anything I shouldn’t! Thermomix haven’t really said anything about this!
@Toria Summers - a little yes, it depends on the load really I guess. Mine has never stopped for a couple of seconds though, Judy sounds like it’s struggling sometimes. How did the sound turn out? I guess you’ve decided to keep Thelma then? 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@@RichieTheFoodie thanks Richie. I can’t describe what it sounded like but imagine any device struggling under what I assume is load! do you really use yours every day? So, it’s expensive and you need a subscription to use its features? If that’s the case, it’s a deal breaker to me. What if the subscription service folds? Then what?
@Jondrew55 - yes it is indeed expensive, and yes, you need a subscription to access cookidoo. You get 12-18 months free in most countries though. The subscription mainly pays for recipe updates. There are 1000’s of recipes and more added each week. If the subscription service folds? I doubt that would happen but you never know. I guess you’d be left with a multi functional kitchen appliance. Really fancy getting one of these! Do you think the blades will last, or do you get a guarantee with it? Thanks so much for this video. You've made a very reluctant cook want to get in the kitchen!
Hi Katy These things are absolutely built to last. I guess they should be for the cost of them. Here in the U.K, it comes with a 24 month parts and labour warranty. I believe the blade lasts between 2-5 years, but they aren’t expensive to replace. If you’re a reluctant cook, and you don’t mind the cost, then you MUST buy a TM6! Now now.

I don’t want to over sell this, but like you’ve said, this thing is a kitchen life changer. The risotto is so easy and I think is restaurant standard.
I hope you might like some of my other cooking content😀

Either way, I absolutely love this machine, and feel this review has helped Vorwerk sell a unit or two :)
Again, thanks for supporting my channel and taking the time to comment, it is very much appreciated. Do keep in touch with all things Thermomix! RTF

@@RichieTheFoodie since you have every other appliance, we in the U.S. have access to a multi cooker by Cuckoo that you'd LOVE.
As for particulate, I’d say it’s about the same as traditional cooking

Are there lots of veggie and vegan meals available?

@@RichieTheFoodie I like to learn, too. 👍🏻 I feel like I need to master an established technique before I put my own spin on it.
@@HotVoodooWitch @RichieTheFoodie while I understand your comments and points around it being expensive (especially given the machine itself costs you a pretty penny) and I'm not trying to say that both of you are wrong with my following points, I do feel like I need to make two counterpoints/follow-ups:

I hope you considered subscribing too 😃

@Andrea. Hello! I’m certainly glad that you stumbled across my channel 😀 You’re very welcome, I really enjoyed filming it, and pleased it’s helped you and lots of others make a decision to make one of the best purchases you’ll ever make (no exaggeration)
Unfortunately, there is currently no timer to turn the machine on.

Yes, the bowl isn’t massive, but a lot of the recipes serve up to 6 people, generously, I’d say 4-5 though, so it depends on how large your family is
I’m sure you can’t change the machine’s language, but I just checked Cookidoo here on my iPad, and you have options to filter countries when you search recipes. For example I searched ‘chicken’ and filtered Poland and I got two matches in Polish, so they are there, but there aren’t many. Anyway, your English is fine!
I’d definitely buy one if you can! Thanks for your support, and I hope you subscribed to the foodie family. Tell your friends too 😁

@@daisye2678 good point. Maybe it’s different for machines sold in Poland then?

You can absolutely change the language to Polish in your settings. In addition cookidoo has recipes from many countries including Poland so you will have native, traditional recipes from Poland, developed by polish chefs for Thermomix. Tons of pirogui recipes ;)
To be clear; the recipes within Cookidoo (what a terrible name), will appear in their native language. I'm unsure of the number of languages available. Suffice to say, it will not translate a Polish recipe to English, for example.

Can you cook recipes not in cookie doo . I have seen other reviews that say it hard to manually over ride it
@Debbie Milner Yes, sure, you absolutely can.

@Gerkygirl Jacob Cat is correct, it grinds spices very well indeed. I actually grind spices in my latest video if you’d like to see. ruclips.net/video/Z3IqV1g_UNg/видео.html

@@RichieTheFoodie thank you so much for the reply!! I've watched your video and it looks fantastic!! But you're not using whole spices like cinnamon sticks or cloves or Star anise. I'm looking to grind these types finely to then add to cake batters for example!? That's what I'm not sure, can the TM6 do that?? I'm struggling to choose between the vitamix 3100i or the TM6!!! The deciding factor is the spices grinding capabilities!! Help!!!! 😂🙈😂
@@gerkygirljacob5151 you’re very welcome! Thanks for supporting my channel. The TM6 is extremely powerful. I haven’t ground star anise, but I’ve just searched Cookidoo and found sweet potato soup with star anise. Part of the recipe is grinding it! So I hope that answers your question 😀. It makes some great cake batters, also. Check out my lemon drizzle cake.
Buy one, you won’t regret it. If you do, please let me know how you get on with it

@@RichieTheFoodie You are a total rockstar and thank you so, so much for engaging with me and looking that up! You're a gentleman. I shall of course let you know if I take the plunge!! Thank you again and have a beautiful Sunday!
A very truthful informative review. Thank you. Cant you tell me the capacity of the "jug" when slow cooking - how many people would it cater for?
@Mi Shell the capacity of the jug is 2.2litres. Most of the slow cooker recipes serve 4, but there a few recipes which serves 6. Stay tuned for more TM6 recipes.
Thanks for the nice comment, it means a lot to me. I hope you subscribed to the foodie family 😁

Great review. Crockpot express is the best for almost one in all. I have used it everyday several times for several years and costs like $ 120.00
@Peter Offpist - yes, I’ve seen these around, they look good. I have a basic crockpot which I use often. I’ll be uploading a budget chicken curry cooked in the crockpot this coming Sunday. Thanks for your support 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Have you got the thermomix friend ?
@sarah Foulds - Hi there. No I don’t actually. I don’t really have the need for one. Do you have one? If so, what are your thoughts?

I actually don't make my own food because I have a regular blender and it works just fine because I barely used it unless I'm making a smoothie and I don't need unnecessary things I can't afford so that is why I use materials from scratch and I love pasta but I rather use every day ordinary items if I don't have enough money to spend on expenses I can't afford if the things that he is showing I can't afford if I don't make enough money so no thank you because I don't want to
@Amanda Hunter - some very valid comments there. Thanks for sharing them. I agree that the thermomix isn’t for everyone, and it’s certainly very expensive! It’s a very versatile piece of kitchen equipment. If you’re not a great cook or are short on time in life, it’s a game changer. Or like you mentioned, you like to cook from scratch, if you have time to, you probably wouldn’t need one of these. Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
