Deva Rafael So many young Catholics leave the church because a Pentecostal, Baptist, etc.. shows up and tells them about how nice their music is at there church and how they feel the presence of God there. Sorry to say this but, many catholics leave from the catholic Church to other denominations, because they did not expirience God’s presence in that certain Church. I do not think this is an issue since Jesus said the only he is the way, the truth and the life. Only Jesus, not the first christian church or catholic church but only Jesus can save. If a person expirienced Jesus in a certain denomination or church that has the right doctrine and the presence of God, then allow them.

The problem I have with churches like this is they don't encourage change. Saying you are not against anything means that God is not against anything. Sin is sin,home is where you feel comfortable and that's true ,the problem is sinners feel comfortable in this church just as much as the person that has changed his ways. And that can't be right.

I love hillsong but sometimes I wonder if they would draw the same numbers if they preached real bible doctrine and the more stronger words that Jesus preached. They use alot of marketing themes for the things that they are doing this make things palatable for many fashionable and trendy believers. I would like to see how things hold up after a few hell sermons or the blood or the second coming of Jesus Christ sermons or endtime sermons. Many churches do not preach about the return of Jesus Christ. Also the gift of to tongues. prophecy, word of knowledge, evangelism, the five fold ministry etc. There is a fair sized chunk of christian doctrine left out so then is hillsong functioning as a true church?

I'm in Hillsong Church. We're not a church that is only busy at Sunday Services. During the week we have a lot of teachings and events, depending on your heart to learn more about God's Word and the level you want to learn it in. I really think you guys are passionate about the wrong thing. Go to the church and ask people how God intervened in their lives, you'll stand in awe how God moves. Never have I met such unshakeable faith in young people as in Hillsong Church. And what do you mean with hell sermons?
TheBBalKid ive been to hillsong plenty of times and there is no bible doctrines preached there and the appeal for salvation at the end of the message does not talk about sin or repentance. Infact there is no new testament teachings whatsoever. I do want to say too much because I dont wnt to come across as though I am trying to drag them down or hate. There are some reaally nice people in hilsong but these are the last days and Ive seen somethings that make me doubt that the direcction they are going in is a good one. Hell sermon means a message/sermon on hell. Jesus and the apostles preached and taught on it
TheEndIsHere FinalWarning Well, there is a difference between going to Hillsong several times and being in it. In the Sunday Service there are a lot of new people to the faith. I, personally, if I would be new to a faith, I would be glad to know the first nature of God; love. First understanding who He is, what His nature is, where He is for. After that I can understand that if there is love, there is also an opposite. To this day I am glad to have met God for what He is for, so I later understood why He was against something.

I see no reason not to focus on that as a Christian Church with an eternal perspective for people. The scripture tells us that the best way to please God is to embrace all that He has for us, and I think Hillsong Church does that quite well. I think the focus should be on victory, because that is what Jesus had come for.

This is water down touchy feely gospel
God is love, yes! And that 's so important to hear, know and even feel-- especially in this loveless fractured world. God is holy, indeed! And that requires us to bend our knee and confess our sins. People can not come away from Church feeling fabulous and uplifted without repenting for their sins. We have to own our sins and confess them to the Lord (Ps 32, 51) to even begin to see things clearly. If God is holy then we must be holy. We can not be engaged in unrepentant sin and be holy. I lived in NYC for 4 years. It's a ciy of 8 million strangers. People are lonely and hunger for connection, yet there is an attitude of "I have a right to say, do and think anyway I please." We have to surrender our will to God, and follow His ways to begin the walk of faith. We can't have it both ways-- though that's exactly what most are looking for if they're looking for anything at all. Peace.
