    If you doing this without adjusting the master cylinder on the pedal it changes absolutely nothing.

    Lol. Forgot about adjusting the CMC, this will do absolutely nothing. Emann has a great video that takes you step by step

    that switch you adjusted in this video is for cruise control input, so the control unit knows if you pushed on the clutch pedal even a small amount and then turns off cruise, if you go higher, to the top of the pedal, there's another, this switch is pressed with the pedal all the way to the floor, this switch is an input for the starter relay. neither of these will affect clutch engagement. remove both of them and short the top wires together and then it will turn the starter without the clutch pedal pressed. otherwise the car will drive normally without the switch altogether(aside from cruise operation) I figured this video was gonna be clutch master cyl. pushrod adjustment although I'm hunting for info on CDV delete, this video was amusing as it does NOTHING. Maybe after you performed this adjustment and drove it, you were actually paying attention to what you were actually doing when shifting and therefore making you a better driver for the time being!!

    For anyone wondering, this will do nothing for your gear grinding or hard shifting issue. What is being unthreaded in this video is a switch for turning the car on and for cruise control. If you really want to fix your problem you need to adjust the master cylinder by unthreading the connector clip on the backside of your clutch pedal. Basically crack the nut and turn the threaded push rod with a pair of pliers until you reach the amount of travel needed to shift smoothly in high rpms. Make sure to leave a little play at the top stroke of the pedal. Unthreading it too much can cause the pedal to receive just enough pressure to not entirely engage and disengage your clutch and can cause premature wearing of your clutch. Soo after thats all said and done then this videos information comes in handy as the switch then also should be adjusted due to pedal travel. Just doing whats in this video though will do nothing for your grind in high rpm. Also bonus tip if you upgrade your clutch to a stage 1 or higher, i would upgrade your cmc and slave with an aftermarket kit like ktuned offers. I'd also have the backing plate for the pedal assembly welded up as its just stamped sheet metal with a couple of spot welds. Ive had to replace two pedal assemblies on my 09 Si because those two spot welds are weak af and the upgraded clutch system is much stiffer and requires more force to depress the pedal thereby stressing the welds until they eventually fail and crack.

      Yeah at the time I didn’t realize it was just a switch lol. Definitely did nothing for the grinding. I’ll try updating the video title to avoid any confusion

    In addition to this important video/ reminder, DO not forgot that running your cars hard, and reving them out, breaks down fluids (all of them btw) faster then typical interventions recommended by "your" mechanic and by manufacture. Please do yourself, and your modern machine a favor by changing every 10k with Honda MTF, or your favorite transmission fluid and beat the static of people who don't realize how effective it is to maintain your transmission fluid at sooner interventions then you think.
    Worth considering, take everything with a grain of salt as any topic and new information. (especially during summer, and longer durations of heat cycle, this is common physics, although conventional oil of all types are phenomenally engineered now as opposed to even 10-15 years ago.)
    Cheers!

      I completely agree. I've abused my 8th gen (limiter every drive, banging shifts, etc.) for the past 7 years/30k miles. I check the transmission fluid regularly and it'll get pretty roasted by 10k. K-series transmissions get pretty hot in my experience.

    Did you ever have an issue engaging into 1st gear? For example, it does not want to go into 1st gear from neutral. And it's not an always situation but at times it happens I usually have to press the clutch twice or put it in second gear then back to 1st and take off.

    • @AaronShirzadi_mar5hal
      @AaronShirzadi_mar5hal  7 лет назад +1

      I haven't had that particular issue but with my reverse I usually have to put it in first before engaging reverse otherwise it'll be difficult or grind. I've heard this could be an issue with the shift selector inside the transmission

  • @punkrockmaniac21

    WOW how very weird 🤔 how does the the clutch bypass safety switch help fix grinding issues? That's super weird, instead of the switch telling the car that the clutch pedal is engage so that you can turn on the car...it helps fix grinding issues. Shit i should adjust my brake pedal switch to help fix my pads from grinding too. Bwahaha

    • @AaronShirzadi_mar5hal
      @AaronShirzadi_mar5hal  7 лет назад +3

      So you're saying that the switch that tells the car the clutch pedal is engaged would have 0 effect on when the clutch engaged or disengages?Thanks for the pointer. Maybe you should change your pads. That usually gets rid of the grinding noise 😉

    • @tylermoore3903
      @tylermoore3903 5 лет назад +4

      Aaron Shirzadi yes because that’s all it does. It’s so that the car can start you know. Don’t make a video telling people lies. That isn’t adjusting anything only when the cars computer senses the clutch engaging or disengaging. It’s the same engagement point on the actual clutch not when the car thinks it did. Your clutch goes to a master cylinder that sends fluid just like brakes to separate the clutch from the flywheel.

    i have a reverse gear grind issue when my car is stopped. I found a workaround by shifting to 4th and then reverse, but i don't want to rely on that.

    • @jbizyy
      @jbizyy 5 лет назад

      kseries reverse gear are a bit notchy , ease into it , dont just slam it into reverse. i usually press down on the clutch for about 2 seconds before i go into reverse and it stopped grinding

    hmmm my peddle is like barling coming off the floor.. maybe like 4 inches off the floor and i can feel the car start to grab and pull so i have all of that room from 4 inches off the floor to where the peddle is all the way out... i might try to adjust this a little see if i can get my engagement and disengagement a little more to the middle maybe..
