The C8Z sounds amazing. The high flow cats Might not make a ton of difference , but it sure does help the soun. Honestly doesn't matter to me what you do next it will always be an improvement in whatever you're working on that's why I love This channel. Keep on keeping on doing what you do. As a petrol head in my mid 60's that loves insane vehicles, if i had a Z06 and unlimited $, i would go for a whipple or magnussen supercharger (if they can handle the sustained rpm) and blow the torque out the water!!
Thats what snaps your head back in anygear.
Mountainloads of instantaneous torque.
Obviously the Horsepower would be insane too, but that supercharger whine is totally habitforming.
I think, it would be easier to program around Chevy not wanting , or making it extremely difficult, to fiddle with engine management.
Or a procharger....
Or a PAIR of insane prochargers.
With a big budget, i think i could really get rowdy.......

Had to opportunity to hear this car in person, when GM was on its Z06 tour. In person this car is insanely loud, the video does it no justice. LMR reaction shows it all!
That car is amazing. You are truly blessed. Congratulations. The next step for me would be to expand on that incredible, flat plane exhaust note. A C8Z isn’t complete until it has a LMR titanium cat back. You might as well get that out of the way. I honestly can’t wait to hear it.
The sound is perfect with the high flow cats. I think a supercharger would be wicked on the C8Z06. Full custom intake would be good as the next step to see what kind of gains people can expect.

I would like to see some simple mods a lot of us do to our cars! So we can gauge what we can expect from HP gains!
First, a CAI, then another Dyno run!
Second, a set of headers and new Dyno run!
Third, exhaust and another Dyno run!
All of the HP gain bolt on mods we can do without touching that NA FPC engine!

Honestly, I wouldn’t change the engine or exhaust unless you are specifically looking for more or a different sound. This engine is already tuned pretty high straight from the factory for pump gas. Even the Chevy engineers said there isn’t much left in it without changing the fuel and changing the ECU.
I would like to see weight reductions. Maybe a lightweight seat, lightweight hood or trunk cover. Even just reducing weight of the exhaust might make a difference in acceleration and that won’t show up on the dyno.

To be honest, out of the 2 or 3 exhaust mods ive heard from those who have one, This one sounds the best.
I think you should do some suspension work... although I do not have any clue how to even START TO ATTEMPT working on a machine with such fine engineering... anyways Goodluck my friend. Looking forward to seeing the Z06... your inspiring me to work hard and get one for myself 😊
I've thought about this.... A nice progress wet nitrous kit with race fuel is probably the best bang for the buck. Use your current system for tuning to adjust timing. Datalog the ECU for knock corrections and see how it does. They put the Injectors on the exhaust side for a reason but i'm wondering how the kit will do for fuel distribution if done at the throttle body inlets with a plate design.
The tuned and valved intake plenum also helps that top end HP on the LT6. Get at it now!

Full Titanium exhaust from Ryft is the first mod going on my Z! It’s a work of art on top of being Super lightweight. I’ve been waiting for someone to do it… hint hint @LMR 😉 it will sound absurd!

I was one of the lucky ones to get a Z06 and right now I am not sure if I would do any mechanical mods but maybe cosmetic. Mine is amplify orange and I think the frunk being carbon fiber and the roof being carbon fiber would look cool and shed some weight which helps with speed. I also like my low wing which would be nice in carbon fiber.

I’d be curious to see if was possible to build and fit a set of long tube 180 degree crossover headers/exhaust, and how different it would sound or if it would make more power with the runners laid out accordingly to the firing order.
I love to see twins turbo with 20 psi of boost, then retest horsepower, that a kick ass Z06
Love ur Z06, I hope to get my allocation in February? I’m now leaning towards Elkhart Blue after looking at your Z, it looks great. Next mods, since your a performance shop it would be nice to see step by step bolt ons and let us know gains or lack of for each mod. Air intake.

Performance: I would go air intake to try and help out the higher flowing exhaust...curious if gains are higher bcuz of open exhaust flow. This will let the average Zo6 buyer know what is working for hp gains with simple bolt ons.
Exterior: Get an aggressive front splitter on that bad boy! Zo6 needs some aggression up front.

I have the high flow cats on my C8 stingray volume is great. I think I would do the same with the Z06 just the hi flow cats
Not sure if i posted here, but the engine in my 2016 ss is toast. Heres the diagnoses.
Engine experienced a lifter and trunnion failure Removed engine from vehicle. Disassembled to evaluate failure and damage.
Engine has major damage. See notes below
Disassemble notes:
-#6 intake rocker is broken and pushrod is stuck in valve cover
-#7 intake lifter roller severely worn down and damaged cam lobe -Both rocker stands are shimmed with snap rings
-Spark plugs show vehicle was very rich
-#6 exhaust rocker has one broken snap ring on trunnion
-Most valve tips are mushroomed
-#4, 5 and 7 cylinder walls are badly scored. #7 has the deepest and may need sleeved
-Found broken rocker and snap ring pieces in oil pan
-#6 exhaust lifter roller is ground down to the pin, mushroomed lifter body and severely gouged lifter bore - will need bushed
-#1 main bearing is worn past the copper, crankshaft main journal is badly gouged and damaged
Engine has the following upgrades: -Rocker arms have BTR trunnion upgrade -Camshaft is BTR Stage 2 NA
-Dual aftermarket valve springs -Aftermarket rear seal cover
-Johnson lifters
-7.600" pushrods
-ARP balancer bolt
-Melling oil pump
-Mahle pistons, standard bore

I'm curious to see if you can modify the LT2 by adding a Procharger or TVS on the ERay leaving the electric front drive setup stock.
I would do performance modifications. I would change The high flow cats and would change the airflow filter. I would keep the exhaust valves on. I think the exhaust sounds excelling with the cats on. I'm waiting for you to come out with additional mods based on your r&d. The moment I get my zo6 I'm sending you my car to work on, just don't void my warranty haha.

Best looking Z on RUclips. I'm sure you'll work your magic on the performance side, but maybe adjust the stance of the car by lowering it just a bit. It's a tough call because the car is awesome as is...

Elkhart lake blue with carbon flash black - the best vette color in decades and very rare since no one picks it for some insane reason. See it in the twilight when the red in the paint comes out and it turns purple - sick. Love it.
Holy shit the car sounds amazing! And that Blue is perfect! And I would ProCharger on it to get easy 150+ hp without worrying on OPG CG or heat soak, I guess twin turbo would work too lol!

Hopefully my Z06 allocation will come up in March. Plan is to PPF and maybe carbon aero sometime after that (not wing) since those are all on constraint and I am not willing to defer for that... and do some kind of zero tint UV protection on the windshield to protect the leather dash on the 3LZ.
I live in Cali, only thing I would do and can easily be returned to stock and wont attract to much attention. High flow cats, High flow filters, Tune and call it a day. SAE corrected Dyno with those basic mods should get 600whp ish and I'd be happy with that.

Being that I love tuned cars, there's simply some cars you don't mess, too much, with. I/H/E is all you need for this N/A beauty. I'm kinda glad they've made the ECU difficult to master
It's a definite yes, the sound is better, the hp gain and the higher flow rate will be needed for the next airpump configuration.
Man I would keep it all na but do exhaust cats headers with acs composite wing and splitter with skirts that's I would need jeez what a car cool videos
