Funny thing….It was early August 1969. My high school choir, from West St. Paul, Minnesota, traveled to Freiburg, Germany and participated in an international choir fest. Our group consisted of people from Germany, France, Switzerland, and us, the kids from the United States. Most of us could not converse, but we could sing together with such beauty. Two years later, 1971, Coca-Cola aired the commercial with this song, performed by the youth of the world. I wonder where they got the idea.

I was born in 1960 and remeber this as one of the sweet, beautiful songs of the early 70's... brought tears to my eyes hearing this. These were truly the most hopeful times on Earth...
There were millions of us who vibed with these lyrics believing we could change the world with LOVE. After all these yrs... everything that matters has LOVE at it's core.
"Let all that you do be done in Love and you will have joy and gladness."
    1 Corinthians 16:14/Luke 1:14

I was born in 1960,too,and I loved the new seekers. They were better than they were given credit for (unfortunately, they didn't last long). But I KNOW ABBA got their inspiration from them.Fact is ABBA basically copied them (the new seekers should be proud 👍)

Deliberately released ahead of the infamous Coke promotion shortly after - certainly made its mark on brand history… Got to see Lynn Paul perform this, it just works 👍

Just bought a New Seekers cd in a charity shop, have discovered I like them, The Carpenters, John Denver, and much more. Strange, as I grew up on a diet of punk, UK Subs, Angelic Upstarts, Ruts etc. No limits anymore, it's all good stuff! ( I tell a lie, I think i secretly liked it all along!)
