Funny thing….It was early August 1969. My high school choir, from West St. Paul, Minnesota, traveled to Freiburg, Germany and participated in an international choir fest. Our group consisted of people from Germany, France, Switzerland, and us, the kids from the United States. Most of us could not converse, but we could sing together with such beauty. Two years later, 1971, Coca-Cola aired the commercial with this song, performed by the youth of the world. I wonder where they got the idea.

Just bought a New Seekers cd in a charity shop, have discovered I like them, The Carpenters, John Denver, and much more. Strange, as I grew up on a diet of punk, UK Subs, Angelic Upstarts, Ruts etc. No limits anymore, it's all good stuff! ( I tell a lie, I think i secretly liked it all along!)
